The utmost security standards over Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) are still an unsolved answer in research community as well as among the commercial users. There are various prior attempts in proposing security of WLAN that lacks focus on access point and is found to be quite complex implementation of cryptography. The proposed paper presents a novel, simple, and yet robust technique called as MDS-WLAN i.e. maximal data security in WLAN. The system is evaluated over laboratory prototype and mitigation measures are drawn for resisting wormhole attack, Sybil attack, and rogue access point issue in WLAN. The outcome of the MDS is compared with conventional AES and SHA that shows optimal communication performance and highest data security.

The cloud computing had its impact far and wide, and Enterprise solutions are getting migrated to different types of clouds. The services are delivered from the data centers which are located all over the world. As the data is roaming with less control in any data centers, data security issues in cloud are very challenging. Therefore we need multi-level authentication, data integrity, privacy and above all encryption to safeguard our data which is stored on to the cloud. The data and applications cannot be relocated to a virtual server without much degree of security concern as there can be much confidential data or mission-critical applications. In this paper, we propose Data Storage Lock Algorithm (DSLA) to store confidential data thereby provides secure data storage in cloud computing based on cryptographic standards.

This paper presents the elbow flexion and extension rehabilitation exercise system using marker-less Kinect-based method. The proposed exercise system is developed for the upper limb rehabilitation application that utilizes a low cost depth sensor. In this study, the Kinect skeleton tracking method is used to detect and track the joints of upper limb and then measure the angle of the elbow joint. The users perform the exercise in front of the Kinect sensor and the computer monitor. At the same time, they can see the results that displayed on the screen in real-time. The measurement of elbow joint angles are recorded automatically and has been compared to the reference values for the analysis and validation. These reference values are obtained from the normal range of motion (ROM) of the elbow. The results show the average flexion angle of the elbow joint that achieved by the normal user is 139.1° for the right hand and 139.2° for the left hand. Meanwhile, the average extension angle is 1.72° for the right hand and 2.0° for the left. These measurements are almost similar to the standard range of motion (ROM) reference values. The skeleton tracking works well and able to follow the movement of the upper arm and forearm in real-time.

Last decade has witnessed an ever increasing number of video surveillance installations due to the rise of security concerns worldwide. With this comes the need for video analysis for fraud detection, crime investigation, traffic monitoring to name a few. For any kind of video analysis application, detection of moving objects in videos is a fundamental step. In this paper, an efficient foreground modelling method to segment multiple moving objects is implemented. Proposed method significantly reduces noise thereby accurately segmenting region of interest under dynamic conditions while handling occlusion to a large extent. Extensive performance analysis shows that the proposed method was found to give far better results when compared to the de facto standard as well as relatively new approaches used for moving object detection.

In Wireless Sensor Network (WSN), fact from different sensor nodes is collected at assembling node, which is typically complete via modest procedures such as averaging as inadequate computational power and energy resources. These approaches are extremely prone to attacks as WSN are typically lacking interfere resilient hardware. Thus, purpose of veracity of facts and prestige of sensor nodes is critical for wireless sensor networks. Therefore, imminent gatherer nodes will be proficient of accomplishment additional cultivated data aggregation algorithms, so creating WSN little unresisting, as the performance of actual low power processors affectedly increases. Iterative filtering algorithms embrace inordinate capacity for such a resolution. The way of allocated the matching mass elements to information delivered by each source, such iterative algorithms concurrently assemble facts from several roots and deliver entrust valuation of these roots. Though suggestively extra substantial against collusion attacks beside the modest averaging techniques, are quiet vulnerable to a different cultivated attack familiarize. The existing literature is surveyed in this paper to have a study of iterative filtering techniques and a detailed comparison is provided. At the end of this paper new technique of improved iterative filtering is proposed with the help of literature survey and drawbacks found in the literature.

This paper investigates the behavior of a high frequency parallel quasiresonantinverter fitted domestic induction heater with different switching frequencies. The power semiconductor switch Insulated Gate Bipolar Junction Transistor (IGBT) is incorporated in this high frequency inverter that can operate under ZVS and ZCS conditions during the switching operations at certain switching frequency to reduce switching losses. The proposed induction heating system responds to three different switching frequencies with providing different results. An Insulated Gate Bipolar Junction Transistor (IGBT) provides better efficiency and faster switching operations. After the complete study of the proposed induction heating system at the selected switching frequencies, the results are compared and it is decided that most reliable, efficient and effective operations from the proposed induction heater can be obtained if the switching frequency is selected slightly above the resonant frequency of the tank circuit of the resonant inverter. The proposed scheme is analyzed using Power SystemSimulator (PSIM) environment.

In this research, the author presents the model of the two-link robot arm and its dynamic equations. Based on these dynamic equations, the author builds the sliding mode controller for each joint of the robot. The tasks of the controllers are controlling the Torque in each Joint of the robot in order that the angle coordinates of each link coincide with the desired values. The proposed algorithm and robot model are built on Matlab-Simulink to investigate the system quality. The results show that the quality of the control system is very high: the response angles of each link quickly reach the desired values, and the static error equal to zero.

Evaluation and estimation of energy consumption are essential in order to classify the amount of energy used and the way it is utilized in building. Hence, the possibility of any energy savings potential and energy savings opportunities can be identified. The intention of this article is to study and evaluate energy usage pattern of the Central Queensland University campus’ buildings, Queensland, Australia. This article presents the field survey results from the audit of an office building and performance-related measurements of the indoor environmental parameters, for instance, indoor air temperature, humidity and energy consumption concerned to the indoor heating and cooling load. Monthly observed energy usage information was employed to investigate influence of the climate conditions on energy usage.

Images, audio, and videos have been used by researchers for a long time to develop several tasks regarding human facial recognition and emotion detection. Most of the available datasets usually focus on either static expression, a short video of changing emotion from neutral to peak emotion, or difference in sounds to detect the current emotion of a person. Moreover, the common datasets were collected and processed in the United States (US) or Europe, and only several datasets were originated from Asia. In this paper, we present our effort to create a unique dataset that can fill in the gap by currently available datasets. At the time of writing, our datasets contain 10 full HD (1920 1080) video clips with annotated JSON file, which is in total 100 minutes of duration and the total size of 13 GB. We believe this dataset will be useful as a training and benchmark data for a variety of research topics regarding human facial and emotion recognition.
