Abstract

Salah satu fakta yang muncul dalam kegiatan pembelajaran fisika adalah selama pembelajaran kurang ditemukan adanya siswa yang bertanya, menjawab pertanyaan, maupun memberikan umpan balik terhadap guru. Beberapa siswa yang kurang memahami materi yang disampaikan guru, merasa malu atau takut untuk bertanya langsung kepada guru. Beberapa siswa yang lain tidak berani bertanya kepada yang lebih pandai karena tidak akrab atau kurangnya rasa peduli atas kesulitan temannya. Jika hal ini berlangsung terus menerus dan semakin meningkatnya tingkat egois manusia, bisa mengakibatkan hal-hal yang tidak baik bagi karakter siswa. Model pembelajaran tutor sebaya dengan praktikum dan presentasi memungkinkan siswa mengembangkan karakter komunikatif dan tanggung jawab. Saat praktikum antar siswa saling bertukar informasi dan berinteraksi supaya praktikum terlaksana dengan baik dan saat presentasi siswa menjabarkan hasil praktikum yang telah dilaksanakan serta terdapat sesi tanya-jawab sehingga kemampuan berkomunikasi siswa terlatih. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan pembelajaran model pembelajaran tutor sebaya dapat mengembangkan karakter siswa. Intrumen penelitian yang digunakan antara lain adalah lembar skala sikap dan lembar observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gain karakter komunikatif pada skala sikap sebesar 0,2 dengan kategori rendah. Sedangkan hasil uji gain karakter tanggung jawab pada skala sikap sebesar 0,01 dengan kategori rendah dan gain hasil observasi sebesar 0,3 dengan kategori sedang. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran tutor sebaya berhasil mengembangkan karakter. Jika model pembelajaran ini terintegrasi dalam pembelajaran dapat mengembangkan karakter secara signifikan.

Abstract

Kegiatan praktikum sebagai sarana penunjang pembelajaran fisika seringkali terkendala oleh beberapa hal seperti keterbatasan waktu, ketersediaan bahan, keamanan, dan materi yang abstrak. Teori kinetik gas merupakan salah satu konsep fisika yang bersifat abstrak Penelitian ini mengembangkan media laboratorium virtual untuk menggambarkan perilaku partikel gas. Laboratorium virtual yang dikembangkan berupa simulasi komputer yang dibuat menggunakan bahasa pemrograman VRML (Virtual Reality Modelling Language). Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan model 4D yang terdiri atas tahap pendefinisian (define), perancangan (design), pengembangan (develope), penyebaran (disseminate). Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan berupa angket dan dokumentasi. Hasil pengujian tahap pertama media oleh validator terhadap aspek teknis dan karakteristik teknologi sebesar 72,38%, aspek isi (content) sebesar 79,59%, aspek desain pembelajaran sebesar 78,57%. Hasil pengujian tahap kedua media dilakukan oleh mahasiswa pendidikan fisika Universitas Negeri Semarang memperoleh persentase 73,13%. Berdasarkan analisis hasil pengujian oleh validator dan tanggapan mahasiswa, media laboratorium virtual berbasis VRML layak digunakan sebagai alternatif media pembelajaran.

Abstract

Penerapan model pembelajaran kontekstual berbantuan mindscaping dilakukan untuk remediasi miskonsepsi serta peningkatan hasil belajar dan pemahaman konsep siswa. Penerapan model pembelajaran kontekstual berbantuan mindscaping dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 1 Bangsri menggunakan Metode Pre-Experimental Designs dengan one-group pretest-postest design yang diterapkan di kelas XI IPA 1. Analisis data menunjukkan kelas eksperimen dengan model pembelajaran kontekstual berbantuan mindscaping telah mencapai ketuntasan belajar secara klasikal dengan persentase sebesar 55,5%. Peningkatan prestasi belajar siswa diketahui dari uji gain dengan kategori sedang (<g>= 0,59). Dari analisis data disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran kontekstual berbantuan mindscaping efektif dalam meremediasi miskonsepsi siswa sehingga dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar dan pemahaman konsep siswa.

Abstract

Physical learning of optical instruments subject in the SMA N 13 Semarang used media such as power point, books, video, and internet. Teacher had not developed yet another innovative learning media. The research’s purpose was for knowing the appropriateness media developed into Pop-Up Book form of optical instruments subject. The appropriateness media was tested use questionnaire, documentation, and test methods to know effectiveness level of Pop-Up Book. The samples of this research were students of grade X, physical teacher, media expert, and also subject expert. The Pop-Up Book which was resulted have effectiveness level was 75.42%, which was include into very good criteria. The appropriateness average score of Pop-Up Book was 80.62% which was include into good criteria. Based on the indicator had been established and the result of data respondent, so Pop-Up Book worth used as physical learning media of optical instruments for senior high school students.

Abstract

The purpose of this research were implementation peer tutor learning method to develop students' learning activities and determine the magnitude of the development student activity after implemented peer tutor learning method helped by question cards. The research design used Quasi Experiment with the form Pretest-Posttest Group. The instrument of this research used observation sheets to determine the development of students' learning activities. The results of this research stated that students' learning activity is low after implementation of peer tutor learning helped by question cards. The gain score of concept understanding was 0,52 which include moderate category.

Abstract

The limitation of space and time became the obstacle in the effort to improve the learning quality. Lecturer as the fasilitator got difficulty to present a media so that abstract material can be easily understood. The purpose of this research is to find out the characteristics and the worthiness of instructional video of magnetism. The procedure of this research suitable with the method of this Research and Development (R&D). The focus of this research is development of instructional video of magnetism in Basic Physics 2. Instrument used in this research are Worthiness Questionare in the form of Likert scale consist of Validation Questionare from media expert and material expert also Questionare of student response to the instructional video of magnetism. Validation result from material expert up to 89,58 % and 77, 08 %. While the validation result from media expert up to 78,13 % and 87,00 % and result the questionare of student response have the percentage of 85,83%, 88,73%, and 87,50%. The characteristics of instructional video of magnetism according to the aspect of media include Maintanable, Usability, Compatibility, Reusable, Good ilustration, Good Audio, Communicative and Good Visualisation. According to the aspect of material include: Suitable to the theme of magnetism, Accurate, Most Up to Date, and Good Material Output.

Abstract

This research aims to develop an instrument of performance assessment with valid, reliable, effective, and feasible criteria. This research used Research and Development (R&D) method. The procedure includes: problem and identification problem, collecting data, product design, product design validation, product design revision, limited-scale product trial, product revision I, product application trial, product revision II and final product. Result of the research shows that performance assessment instrument that developed using scientific approach that consist of using tools and material activity, observing activity, write data observation, and analyze data observation. Performance assessment instrument is stated valid with the mean percentage score of design by two validator 97.92% and the evaluation 100%. Instrument is stated reliable, with coefficient of reliability in average rating of the three raters are 0.9378 and coefficient of reliability in average rating for each rater is 0.8341. Instrument is stated effective with the percentage of the difference assessment is 1.66%. Instrument is stated very feasible with the mean percentage score 94.53%..

Abstract

The learning process of physics needed a deep analysis. Students with special needs, especially those who were deaf and lack in hearing ability, had some problems in Physics learning including in Sound concept. Availability of learning media in Physics learning for those deaf students was still in minimum number. There were deaf students who had hearing ability although it was less. The less hearing ability could still be employed to optimize the learning proces. This study aimed to develop fotonovela as a product of learning media with audio help for deaf students, and to determine the suitability and effectiveness of it. Result of the study concluded that the fotonovela with audio help was very suitably and effectively applied in the learning for deaf students.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine variety of students misconception, as well as its causes and impact. Design of the study was a survey study, which was a study to collect data from a certain natural place (not created one), but the researcher did a treatment in collecting data. Samples were taken by using purposive sampling method, and they were classes of XI IPA 3 and XI IPA 5. The samples were collected by observation, documentation, questionnaire, test and interview. Result of study indicated that highest level of knowing the concept was on fluids and static fluids concepts as much as 40,2%, level of knowing-but-not-sure was on adhession and cohession concept as much as 11,8%, while the highest level of misconception was on Archimedes law concept as much as 54,5% and the highest level of not-knowing was on viscosity and its units concept as much as 72,5%. There were some factors causing the students misconception, such as, learning process, students thinking way, material books, experience and lack of knowledge.

Abstract

Indonesia need strategy to overcome the crisis of character, one of which is through the integrated character education. The purpose of this research is to know the implementation of PBI model that helped by worksheets with scientific approach, the increasing of knowledge learning result, the developing of character, and the increasing of skill learning result,. The method that used in this research is pre experimental with Pre-test and Post-test Group design. This research results show that implementation of PBI that helped by phisics worksheets with scientific approach can improve learning outcomes of knowledge in medium category, it can also develop character especially honesty, discipline, curiosity, and communicative, and improve skills learning outcomes in medium category.
