Abstract

In the 21st century education and technology are developing more rapidly. This requires each individual to have skills. One of the skills that must be possessed is creativity. According to Munandar creativity is devided into four models namely person, process, press and product. Product creativity according to Peter Nilsson can be assessed in terms of product form and product Quality based on theory of village Taxonomy Design Creativity Peter Nilsson product form is devided into five aspects, namely Imitation, Variation, Combination, Transformation, and New Creation. This research focuses on transformation aspects only, conducted on Physics Education college students who have received analog electronics courses, then college students are asked to design the opening and closing tools of the water tap according to the order sheet, to then be assessed with an instrument that has been validated by an expert lecturer. The data analysis technique uses a descriptive quantitative approach. The results of the data analysis concluded that the level of creativity of physics education college students in designing the product aspects of transformation, 5,1 on a scale of 0-7 which means college students of UNNES physics education have a high level of creativity.

Abstract

Three-Tier Diagnostic Tests is one of instrument to diagnosis. First tier consist of four multiple choice questions to identify students conceptual understanding, second tier consist of selection reason to identify students mindset, and third tier consist of convidience level who customized with CRI. Purpose of the research is develop three-tier diagnostic tests to identify of students conceptual understanding in sound wave. Procedural of the research use four-D models. Four-D models consist of Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. However, this research only restricted to develop. The result of the instruments that was developed consist of grille of three tier diagnostic test, instructions to answer the question, instrument of three tier diagnostic test, scoring guidelines, and guidelines of result interpretation. Reliability of the question is 0,61 and reliability of the reason is 0,67 so the instrument is reliable. Result from identify of students conceptual understanding is 35,62% students understand; 11,09% students not understand, and 53,28% students misconception.

Abstract

The Magnetic Field is an abstract physics material since the object cannot be seen. Learning the media, in the form of modules, equipped with an Android applications, can be used as solutions to improve learning outcomes and visualize magnetic fields. This study aims were to develop a physics module, equipped with an Android application on the magnetic field around the current wire and determine the feasibility of the media being developed. The development model used in this study is the ADDIE model. The product of this research is a physics learning module and an Android application that has been tested on media experts, material experts, and students. For data collection method in this study, were used 3 methods, there are questionnaire, documentation, and interviews. The data processing method used a Likert scale, which consists of a score of 1 to 5. The feasibility test result of module obtained a score of 88.89%, which was categorized as very feasible and Android application obtained a score of 90.53% which was in the very feasible category. Based on the score and category obtained, the physics learning module equipped with an Android application is stated feasible for learning.

Abstract

Creative and analyzing thingking is a competence that students need in studying physics on the subject of mechanical waves by developing ideas with the result that they can be analyzed through examples of everyday life. The competence of creative thinking and analyzing of class XI students in SMA Negeri 1 Dempet, Demak Regency when studying physics is less optimal and feels bored faster. This is because students still depend on the formulas used without knowing the concept, and they are passive in participating in learning activities by only paying attention to the teacher's explanation. Learning that is suitable for developing creative thinking and analytical skills is to use the Problem Posing learning model in terms of skimming and mind mapping, with the aim of research to determine the effectiveness and describe the competence to think creatively and analyze. This study used a mixed methods and the sample was selected through purposive sampling technique so that the experimental class and control class were obtained. In the experimental class, the treatment was given to the Problem Posing learning model in terms of skimming and mind mapping, while the control class was given treatment of the Problem Based Learning learning model. The results showed that the more students follow the learning using Problem Posing through skimming and mind mapping techniques, the better the final competence test results for creative thinking and analyzing. This is shown based on triangulation in each category of skimming and mind mapping observations with the final ability of creative thinking and analysis

Abstract

The goals of this research are to identify the characteristics of Problem Based Learning-based student worksheets, determine the feasibility level of Problem Based Learning-based student worksheets, determine the increase in student cognitive learning outcomes, and determine the increase in student problem-solving abilities. The method of this research is Research and Development (R&D) with One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The results of the feasibility test from the validator and the results of the readability test showed that the Problem Based Learning-based student worksheets are very suitable for use in physics learning and this is easy to understand. The use of student worksheets in learning can increase students cognitive learning outcomes and students problem solving abilities.

Abstract

Problems in learning evaluation such as Paper Based Testing (PBT) and Computer Based Testing (CBT) which ignore the ability of individual variations cause the information obtained to be less than optimal. Experts have developed a learning evaluation tool, namely the Computerized Adaptive Test (CAT) to overcome these problems. In the CAT system, the items given to test takers are adjusted to the test taker's ability level. The purpose of this study was to determine the characteristics of the CAT evaluation tool on the topic of vibration, wave and sound as well as to be able to determine the profile of student learning outcomes in vibration, wave and sound materials using CAT evaluation tools. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with a 4-D development model, namely define, design, develop and disseminate. The CAT developed is website-based and has a 78 item question bank with the topic of vibration, waves and sound. The result of the development obtained is that the validity of the instrument gets Aiken's V validity score with an average of 0.93 which exceeds the minimum validity of 0.87 and is declared valid. The validity of the media expert got a score of 86% in the very good category. The method of question analysis uses the Item Response Theory (IRT) one-parameter logistic model (1 PL). The level of difficulty of the questions obtained is easy category as many as 17 items, medium as many as 30 items and difficult as many as 31 items. The results showed that the feasibility of CAT media was 74% in a good category. Obtained profiles of student learning outcomes material vibration waves and sound using CAT with an average value of 47.91 categorized as being slightly below the average of the maximum value of 100.The ability level of test takers can be estimated with only 11-23 items resulting in efficiency better time than PBT and CBT. There is a relationship between the score using CAT and the score without using CAT positively with a correlation value rcount of 0.600192, this value can be interpreted as a strong level of relationship, if the score without CAT is high then the score obtained with CAT is also high, and vice versa.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the procedural thinking ability of prospective teachers to develop physics experiment procedures. This research is descriptive qualitative. Samples were selected by purposive sampling techniques, namely 4th semester and 6th semester students who have attended Basic Physics 1 courses and Basic Physics Experiment 1. The subjects of this study consisted of six people, who were selected based on the ability to compose experimental procedures of physics. Researchers as the main instrument in the study are supported by the results of written tests, interview results and field notes. The results showed that procedural thinking skills in prospective teachers for type-3 (low ability group ) and type-2 (medium ability group) were able to arrange experimental procedures systematically but less detailedly, while in prospective teacher students for type-1 (high ability group) were able to arrange experimental procedures systematically, logically and in detail. The difficulties faced in arranging physics experimental procedures are lack of conceptual understanding, less experimental activities, and prospective teacher students lack of practice in designing physics experimental procedures.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop a viscosity teaching aid based on microcontroller to improve mastery of physics concept. The researched method used the research and development method with the subject of research was 28 students which grade XI semester of State Senior High School 1 Grabag 2020/2021 academic year. This researched began with the development of a viscosity teaching aid based on microcontroller along with its guide book and then implemented with a demonstration method to determine students mastery of the viscosity concept. The instruments used included teaching aids, test, and questionnaire sheets. The data analyzed was a form of results of the calibration test of the props, the feasibility test questionnaire by the expert validator and the results of the application in learning included cognitive domains in the form of pretest and postest. The results showed that the teaching aid had gone through a calibration test with an accuracy percentage of 88,855%, while based on a feasibility test by an expert validator regarding the feasibility test of teaching aids, the percentage was 95,83%, which means it was very feasible and the guide book was 87,92% which means it is very feasible. The implementation of a viscosity props can improve the mastery of student’s viscosity concept with n-gain values reaching 0.497 (medium criteria).

Abstract

Penelitian ini tentang pembuatan kampas rem komposit dengan bahan berupa serat serabut kelapa dengan tujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana ketahanan kampas rem yang dibuat dengan fraksi volume serat serabut kelapa yang divariasi. Pembuatan spesimen dilakukan dengan memvariasikan fraksi volume serat serabut kelapa mulai dari 2% hingga 14% dengan interval 3% untuk setiap variasi. Spesimen dicetak menggunakan metode hot isostatic pressing dengan suhu 160℃ selama 3 jam. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa spesimen A1 dengan fraksi volume serabut kelapa sebesar 2% merupakan spesimen terbaik yang mana memiliki nilai kekerasan sebesar 72,80 HRB, nilai keausan sebesar 2,21 x 10−4 mm2 /kg, dan nilai kelekatan sebesar 1541,77 N/cm2. Penambahan serat alam menyebabkan ikatan dalam spesimen menjadi lemah dan kepadatan spesimen berkurang, sehingga spesimen memiliki nilai kekerasan yang rendah. Spesimen yang memiliki nilai kekerasan rendah menjadikan spesimen tersebut mudah tergores atau terkikis yang mengakibatkan nilai keausannya tinggi. Nilai koefisien gesek tertinggi pada spesimen A5 dengan fraksi volume serat serabut kelapa sebesar 14%. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan struktur permukaan mikro dan penentuan kandungan komposisi spesimen, terlihat bahwa dalam spesimen tersebut tersusun atas bahan-bahan yang berbeda yang memiliki karateristik berbeda-beda pula

Abstract

Masyarakat global dikejutkan dengan adanya pandemi Covid-19 yang muncul tepat diakhir tahun 2019. Pandemi Covid-19 memberikan efek serius dan telah merubah banyak pola kehidupan masyarakat. Pemaparan Covid-19 pada benda dapat dicegah dengan proses sterilisasi. Proses sterilisasi dapat digunakan dengan memadukan sinar ultraviolet tipe C (UV-C) dan cairan desinfektan. Penelitian ini bertujuan membuat alat sterlisator dengan memadukan UV-C dan cairan disinfektan LED UVC 3535 digunakan sebagai sumber sinar UV-C. Cairan desinfektan yang digunakan adalah produk desinfektan Medlab dengan kadar benzalkonium chloride 3% dan dilakukan proses pengkabutan dengan bantuan modul mist maker. Komponen-komponen yang terkait dengan alat streriliastor terintegrasi dalam satu wadah dan dioperasikan secara nirkabel dengan memanfaatkan fitur Bluetooth pada Android. Alat sterilisator dikendalikan dengan bantuan aplikasi yang disematkan pada perangkat Android yang berfungsi untuk memberikan perintah, pengendalian durasi, memantau suhu, dan kelembapan. Hasil pemantauan suhu akibat radiasi dari nyala LED UVC 3535 diperoleh perubahan sebesar 39,5 oC pada durasi ke 20 menit dan memiliki waktu tunda respon rata-rata sebesar 1,095 detik. Hasil pemantauan kelembapan udara akibat proses pengkabutan cairan desinfektan dalam wadah mengalami kenaikan sebesar 0,1% setiap penambahan durasi 2 menit dan memiliki waktu tunda respon rata-rata sebesar 1,087 detik.
