Abstract

Dalam perspektif berbahasa, implikatur digunakan dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan. Iklan kosmetik merupakan bentuk kegiatan komunikasi nonpersonal bersifat membujuk konsumen yang disampaikan melalui media dengan membayar ruang pakainya untuk menyampaikan suatu pesan mengenai produk yang digunakan pada tubuh manusia untuk membersihkan, mempercantik, mempromosikan daya tarik, atau mengubah penampilan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menemukan dan mendeskripsikan wujud implikatur percakapan dan sumber terbentuknya implikatur percakapan. Pendekatan pragmatis digunakan dalam penelitian ini untuk mengkaji makna ujaran dalam situasi-situasi tertentu. Tuturan iklan yang dianalisis adalah tuturan pada iklan kosmetik. Data dikumpulkan melalui teknik simak dengan teknik dasar sadap dilanjutkan dengan teknik simak bebas libat cakap, teknik rekam, dan teknik catat. Metode padan dengan teknik pilah unsur penentu digunakan untuk menganalisis data. Ditemukan tiga wujud implikatur: implikatur representatif; implikatur direktif-representatif; dan implikatur ekspresif-representatif. Ditemukan sumber implikatur percakapan diantaranya pelanggaran pada bidal kualitas, bidal kuantitas, bidal relevansi, bidal cara, bidal ketimbangrasaan, dan bidal keperkenaan.In language perspective, implicature is used in all sorts of aspects of life. The purpose of this study is to find out and describe the types of conversational implicature and the sources of conversational implicature. Data were collected using an attentively technique with bugging technique as the basic technique which continued using free attentively conversational technique, recording technique, and writing technique. Matching method with aggregrating technique of determiner elements was used to analyze data. Based on the result, found three types of implicature: (1) representative implicature; (2) directive-representatif implicature dan (3) expressive-representative implicature. Sources of conversational implicature were caused by violating on maxim of quality, maxim of quantity, maxim of relevance, maxim of manner, tact maxim, and approbation maxim.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify the form of the register used among pesantren community in Semarang. This research is a descriptive qualitative study.The data of this research are words, phrases, and acronyms that allegedly as register, while the data source is the speech of pesantren community in Semarang which contains registers. The data collection is done by using listen and talk method, through record technique.  Some forms of register pesantren community in Semarang are: (1) based on lingual units are, registers in the form of base words, words with affixes, compound words, and phrases, (2) based on the origin of the language are, register in Indonesian language, Javanese loanwords, Arabic loanwords, and Sundanese loanwords, (3) based on the register types, it is divided into open registers and closed registers.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the effectiveness of poetry reading learning using draladater model on high school students with extrovert personality, examine the effectiveness of poetry reading learning using draladater model on high school students introvert personality, and investigate the comparison of the effectiveness of poetry reading learning using draladater model on extrovert and introvert personality students. To achieve these purposes, this study used quasi experimental design (Non Equivalent Control Group Design). Meanwhile, the samples of this study were taken from the ability of students’ poetry reading in class X or tenth grade of State Senior High School (SMA Negeri) 1 Kajen and State Senior High School (SMA Negeri) 1 Wiradesa. The results of this study showed that the mean score of the posttess of poetry reading learning by using draladater model on extrovert personality of 82.3, while the mean score of poetry reading learning with draladater model on introvert personality student was 77.4. It shows that the average score of poetry reading with draladater model on extrovert personality student was greater than on introvert students. Thus, poetry reading learning with draladater model is more effective to be applied on extrovert personality students than the introvert one.

Abstract

This paper aims to analyze the representation of a father's masculinity in the movie Miracle in Cell No. 7 with the causes and impacts on his daughter and the surrounding society. This analysis uses sociology and literature perspective that view literature as a portrait of social reality. This research uses descriptive qualitative method to analyze the sources of information and data from literary works. Based on the analysis found the form, cause and impact masculinity representation of father in movie Miracle in Cell No. 7. The represented form is a responsible father, willing to sacrifice and a caring and protective character. The causes of the masculine representation are father’s who loves his daughter and his helpful character. While the positive impact toward his daughter and the society are the child who loves her father, forming independent character and maturing his daughter, getting sympathy from the surrounding society and the negative impact is getting scorn and fraud.

Abstract

Tegal regency people is diglossic community having two languages namely Javanese and Indonesian. The adjustments of the role and the function of those languages are occured in the city, especially in Senior High School educational domain, taking form of the roles and functions of Javanese and Indonesian languages. The purposes of the research are to analyze the patternof Javanese-Indonesian language diglossic patterns in Tegal SHS educational domains. The research is descriptive qualitative and perspective sociolinguistics. The data collection uses observe and conversational methods. The diglossia of the domain uses Miles and Huberman, covering data collection, data reduction, then data serving and concluding. Based on analysis, the diglossic patters of the domain are: (1) Standardized Indonesian language and Javanese language are included in high language variation used in formal situation, and (2) non-standardized Indonesian and Javanese languages are used in non-formal situations and included in low language variation.

Abstract

Debate is a practice of oral argumentation discourse. Various moving arguments used to solve different arguments as a form of verbal communciation form in debating and seen as speech acts contributing to solve different arguments. The aim of this study to describe the type of speech acts marked by the argumentative indicator used in the discourse of argumentation of Indonesian debate. The research approach used in this research is theoretical approach and methodological approach.  Theoretical approach is pragmatic approach and dialectica, while methodological approach is descriptive qualitative approach. The data were collected observing methods consisting free conversational (simak bebas libat cakap/SLB) and observing methods, record and note methods. The method of data analysis used is referential reference method followed by Determinant Elements technique (PUP). The analysis result of this research (1) the commonly used argumentative indicators by pros and cons sides is in argument phase, (2) the commonly used act of speech br pros and cons sides is assertive, and (3) the act of speech function is to state opinion.

Abstract

The objectives of this research are (1) to describe the development characteristics of short story text evaluation tools of XIth grade Senior High School class participants by using Rebecca M. Valette taxonomy and CLIL approach based on teacher perception, (2) to describe the development of short story text evaluation tool for XIth grade Senior High School students using Rebecca M. Valette’s taxonomy and CLIL approach. (3) to describe the validity and reliability  prototypes of short story text evaluation tools for XIth grade Senior High School class participants using Rebecca M. Valette’s taxonomy and CLIL approach. The design of this research is R & D (Reseach and Development) approach with research step those are (1) phase I (preliminary study and early development, (2) stage II (development), (3) Stage III (Testing and Validation). This includes the data needs of evaluation tool development according to teacher's perception, data of expert evaluation result, and limited test data in the score form. The sample of this research is evaluation tool produce short story text on XIth grade Senior High School students. Research results are (1) development characteristic of short story text evaluation tool on XIth grade Senior High School students using Rebecca M. Valette’s taxonomy and CLIL approach based on teacher’s perceptions, (2) development of short story text evaluation tools for XIth grade Senior High School students using taxonomy Rebecca M. Valette’s and CLIL approach, (3) validity and the prototype reliability of short story text evaluation tools for XIth grade Senior High School students using Rebecca M. Valette’s taxonomy and CLIL approach.

Abstract

In classroom interaction, teachers always use speech. The instructor has the intention that the students take action by the wishes of the teacher. The purpose of this research is to find and to describe the form, purpose, implicature, and function of teacher speech illocutionary in an interaction of learning in Senior High School. The data were collected by using Simak Libat Cakap (SLC) technique, Simak Bebas Libat Cakap (SBLC) technique and interview technique using skill and fishing technique. Data analysis is done by contextual analysis method. The form of teaching teacher illocutionary contained in the interaction of learning in high school tangible direct speech and indirect speech. The purpose of the illocutionary of teacher's speech in the interaction of learning in high school is to inform the activities at school, to explain the instruction of the activity, to define the term, to ask the lesson material, to justify the inappropriate student answer, to draw the students attention to the lesson, and to instruct the students to do something and ordered not to do anything. The implication of teacher's speech in the interaction of learning in Senior High School is the conventional implicature based on the agreement of the student with the teacher at the beginning of the activity and the unconventional implication based on the context and the teacher's speech in a speech event. The function of the teacher's teacher's illocutionary in the interaction of learning in Senior High School is representative of the truth of teacher's speech, directive directive directive, expressive showing teacher's expression, commissive in the form of offering teacher promise to students, a declaration in the form of punishment sentence to the students.

Abstract

Learning to read Geguritan needs joyful situation, adjusted level of skill and competence of the students, creativity and re-creativity using interactive learning media. The purpose of the study is to describe the needs and the effectiveness of the use of interactive learning multimedia in learning Geguritan reading. This R & D research uses data such as the analysis of necessity test, validity, and media effectiveness shows the development of interactive multimedia to learn Geguritan reading of the IX graders is learning media needed. The trial test shows the development of interactive learning media to learn it is effectively used to improve Geguritan reading skill.

Abstract

Dictionary is the choice of words used by authors in literary works. In connection with the diction, the trilogy novel Negeri 5 Menara by Ahmad Fuadi tried to attract readers one of them through diction. The study of stylists in it is diction, because diction is part of the language style. The purpose of this study is to describe the choice of words contained in the novel. The method used in this research is semiotic-structuralism method with hermeneutic technique, using stilistika approach. The results of the study show that there are six diction uses of which the choice of foreign words (Arabic, English and French) with the number of 200 words, the word from the local language (Minang Language, Javanese, Sundanese and Betawi Language) amounted to 141 words, a typical greeting from the local language (Minang typical greeting, Javanese greeting) with 13 words. Then the use of the word exclamation amounted to 12 words, 51 words of connotative words, and words with objects of natural reality amounted to 11 words. The result of research shows that foreign language word is the most dominant word choice used by author, while word with object of natural reality is word choice which is not dominant.
