Abstract

Tujuan: Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian ekstrak kulit jeruk Sunkist (Citrus sinensis (L.) Osbeck) terhadap perbaikan kadar gula darah dan histologi pancreas tikus yang di induksi streptozotocin.Metode: Jenis penelitian ini ialah eksperimental, desain penelitian adalah True Experimental-Pre Test and Post-Test Control Group Design dan jumlah hewan uji 24 ekor yang dibagi enam kelompok dan mendapat  perlakuan yang berbeda. Hasilnya dianalisis menggunakan software SPSS, dan untuk gambaran histopatologi tikus dibedah dan pankreas diambil untuk dijadikan preparat lalu dilakukan pewarnaan menggunakan metode hematoksilin eosin (HE). Hasil: Pada gambaran histopatologi pankreas terdapat kerusakan yang ditandai dengan degenerasi sel, nekrosis sel, aterosklerosis dan bahkan kongesti pembuluh darah.Kesimpulan: Kesimpulan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak etanol kulit jeruk sunkist bisa menurunkan kadar gula darah tikus dan terdapat perbaikan pada organ pankreas yang diberi ekstrak 1000 mg/KgBB yang ditandai dengan minimalnya degenarasi pada jaringan dan nekrosis sudah tidak dijumpai.

Abstract

Objective: To determine the relationship between the use of the rule of ten on the occurrence of postoperative complications. Methods: This study is an analytic study with a cross-sectional design. Samples were taken from cleft lip patient medical records at Accuplast Hospital Medan from 2016 to 2018. The sample size was taken using the total sampling technique. Data taken in the form of gender, age, weight, hemoglobin levels and postoperative complications. The data that has been obtained is then analyzed using SPSS. Results: A total of 86 patients were included in this study. The majority of patients were male (55.8%), body weight above 4.5 kg (98.8%), patient age over 10 weeks (97.7%), and hemoglobin levels above 10 g/dL (96 ,5%). A total of 80 patients (93%) met the rule of ten criteria and 7 patients (8.1%) had postoperative complications. From the results of the Fischer exact test analysis, it was found that there was no significant relationship between the rule of ten and postoperative complications. Conclusion: In this study, there was no significant relationship between the rule of ten and the incidence of post-labioplasty complications

Abstract

Objective : The purpose of this study was to determine blood sugar levels and histopathological features of the pancreas in Wistar rats (Rattus norvegicus) induced by Streptozotocin. Methods: The type of research conducted is experimental laboratory in vivo. The research design chosen was True Experimental Pre Test and Post Test Control Group Design with 24 test animals and divided into six different treatment groups. The results were analyzed using SPSS software, and for the histopathological description the rats were dissected and the pancreas was taken for preparation and then stained using the Hematoxylin Eosin (HE) method. Results: The results of this study indicate that the histopathological description of pancreatic tissue is damaged which can be seen from the occurrence of cell necrosis, cell degeneration, collections of inflammatory cell , atherosclerosis and vascular congestion are found. Blood sugar levels of rats given a combination of STZ and high-fat diet significantly increased blood sugar levels (P value < 0.05). Conclusion : There is a significant relationship between blood sugar levels and pancreatic histopathology in Wistar rats (Rattus norvegicus) induced by Streptozotocin and high-fat diet.Keywords: Diabetes mellitus; Blood Sugar Levels; Streptozotocin; Pancreas Histology

Abstract

Tujuan: penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui adanya hubungan antara menonton televisi dengan kualitas tidur pada pelajar. Metode: Desain studi penelitian menggunakan metode analitik observasional dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Sampel diambil dengan teknik cluster random sampling yang diikuti oleh 210 siswa berusia 15-19 tahun di SMAN 42 Jakarta Timur pada bulan Juli – Agustus 2019. Data diambil dengan melakukan pengisian kuesioner PSQI untuk mengukur kualitas tidur dan kuesioner intensitas menonton televisi yang meliputi frekuensi, durasi, perhatian terhadap tayangan televisi. Analisis data menggunakan uji Chi Square test. Hasil: Prevalensi pelajar yang mendapatkan kualitas tidur buruk sebanyak 127 siswa (60,5%) dan didominasi oleh perempuan sebanyak 79 siswa (61,2%). Hasil uji statistik menunjukkan tidak terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara intensitas menonton televisi dengan kualitas tidur (p = 0,809). Kesimpulan: Tidak terdapat hubungan antara menonton televisi dengan kualitas tidur pada pelajar.

Abstract

Objective: To determine the description of blood pressure and lipid profile of patients with ischemic stroke who were hospitalized at Haji Adam Malik General Hospital, Medan. Methods: This study used a descriptive method with a cross-sectional approach. The sample in this study were patients with ischemic stroke who were treated at the Haji Adam Malik General Hospital. Data was taken using medical records. The variables collected were gender, age, blood pressure and lipid profile. Results: A total of 80 patients with ischemic stroke were included in this study. Most patients with ischemic stroke are above the age of 50 years with the proportion of sex both male and female is the same. 73.75% of patients with ischemic stroke have hypertension. From the lipid profile, 57.5% of patients had total cholesterol above normal, 71.25% of patients had triglycerides within normal limits, 73.7% of patients had low HDL levels and 65% patients had LDL levels above normal. Conclusion: Most stroke patients in this study had hypertension, had total cholesterol levels above normal, had normal triglyceride levels, had low HDL levels and had LDL levels above normal.

Abstract

Tujuan: Obat golongan analgesik merupakan salah satu golongan obat yang sering diresepkan oleh dokter dan digunakan untuk meredakan rasa nyeri. Penggunaan obat analgesik yang tepat dipengaruhi oleh pengetahuan pasien yang baik mengenai obat analgesik yang diresepkan, sehingga dapat mencegah masalah penyalahgunaan obat khususnya golongan analgesik. penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui hubungan pengetahuan pasien dengan penyalahgunaan obat resep dokter golongan analgesik. Metode: analitik observasional dengan pendekatan cross-sectional terhadap 81 responden. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara menggunakan kuesioner pada bulan Oktober – November 2019 di RS Sumber Waras. Data dianalisis dengan uji fisher-exact dan frekuensi statistik program SPSS versi 26. Hasil: 71 pasien (87,7%) berpengetahuan baik dan 10 pasien (12,3%) berpengetahuan rendah mengenai obat analgesik yang diresepkan. Sembilan pasien (11,1%) menyalahgunakan obat resep dokter golongan analgesik dan 72 pasien (82,9%) lainnya tidak menyalahgunakan. Hasil analisis statistik menunjukkan nilai signifikansi p = 0,000 (p<0,005). Kesimpulan: pengetahuan pasien berhubungan dengan penyalahgunaan obat resep dokter golongan analgesik.

Abstract

Objectives: to provide information about nutritional problems in cancer patients. Method: writing this article using the literature searching method. The sources used are articles, books and the WHO website to collect epidemiological data. Articles and books are taken in Indonesian and English. Search the source of the article using the help of Google Scholar and Google search engines. Results: about 25-70% of patients with cancer are malnourished, this is related to changes in metabolism. Changes in carbohydrate metabolism such as an increase in lactate metabolism 10-100 times faster. Changes in protein metabolism such as protein degradation in muscle. Changes in fat metabolism such as increased lipolysis by 85%. These metabolic changes must be prevented by providing adequate nutrition for patients with cancer. Malnutrition in patients with this cancer can increase the length of stay and increase mortality. With the provision of adequate nutritional therapy is expected to help accelerate the healing process of patients with cancer. Conclusion: Malnutrition in patients with cancer is a condition that often occurs and can have an impact on increasing patient mortality. Provision of adequate nutritional therapy is expected to reduce the risk of mortality and accelerate the healing of patients with cancer.

Abstract

The lowest immunization coverage in  Padang is in area of Puskesmas Air Dingin Padang. Mother’s knowledge is one of the factor that influence the provision of immunization. Objectives: To determined correlation between mother’s knowledge of measles immunization and provision of measles immunization in area of Puskesmas Air Dingin Padang. Methods: This was an analytic study with cross-sectional design. The population were all of mothers with babies age 9-48 months in the area of Puskesmas Air Dingin Padang. The 139 of samples were taken by purposive sampling. Data were collected by interviews using questionnaires. Computerized data processing and analysis permormed by Chi-square test. Results: This study obtained 59,7 % of respondents gave measles immunization to their childen and 89,9% of respondents have sufficient knowledge about measles immunization. There was significant correlation between two variables (p=0,001). Conclusion: There is a significant correlation between mother’s knowledge of measles immunization and provision of measles immunization in Balai Gadang area of Puskesmas Air Dingin Padang, therefore needs to be improved counseling about measles and measles immunization to the community.
