The Journal of Innovation in Business and Economics (JIBE) is published by the Department of Economics and Business at University of Muhammadiyah Malang in 2017. Previously this journal was known as Jurnal Media Ekonomi that was initially published in 2000. In 2011 until 2016, this journal was renamed as Ekonomika Bisnis: Jurnal Penelitian dan Pemikiran. JIBE is a generalist; academic review covering all fields of business, management, accounting, and economics. The journal seeks to examine the emerging and state of the art future innovations in business, economics and management made possible by advances in information, communication, and technologies. Abstract

This research is aimed to investigate the influence of business-related factors, family-related factors, and personal factors on the dual role existence. Batik industry is used as the research target since over 50% of the entrepreneurs are women. The research used 54 respondents as a sample located in Tanjung Bumi which cover 3 areas: Tanjung village, Telaga Biru village and Paseseh village. The result of this research shows that comfortable life, self-respect, business satisfaction, time of work, children and the liquidity of the business have significant influence on dual role to the women entrepreneurs in Batik industry in Bangkalan Madura.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the correlation of interbank offered rate against Islamic stock index associated with behavioral perspective of inves-tors in the stock market of sharia in each country and to examine whether there is a significant difference between the index of sharia that are in Indo-nesia and Malaysia. This study uses an analytical tool that is by simple line-ar regression statistical test to measure the level of effect between variables partially, with a focus on the two countries, Indonesia and Malaysia in the period 2010-2012. Research outcome of the average monthly on secondary data between period 2010-2012, reveals that in Indonesia, independent vari-able affected significantly to Shariah index JII ( Jakarta Islamic Index ) , but there is a difference, compared with Malaysia that the interbank offered rate did not significantly affect KLSI (Kuala Lumpur Sharia Index).Keywords : Interbank Offered Rate, JII dan KLSI.

Abstract

This study was attempted to describe the institutionalization of social accounting in Indonesian Forestry Company housing in Blitar. This project was a qualitative research which applied case study as the method in order to comprehend the institutionalization of social accounting in Indonesian Forestry Company housing in Blitar in which the liability of its social activities was PKBL (Partnership and Environment Development Program). The results revealed that the social accounting institutionalization process in this program experienced no significant problems; instead, the management provided great supports to the implementation of this program, such as organizing a reconstruction program every month, arranging training program for PKBL staff. In addition, this program encouraged the implementation of new beneficial policies, such as the guarantee provision on PKBL loan for customers and the customers’ exclusion in life insurance. Nevertheless, some documents or regulations concerning the implementation of PKBL activities could not be found completely in this study.

Abstract

This study aims to analyses and determine the dominant factors that influence regional spending and its impact on gross regional domestic products and to analyses the direct and indirect effects of regional own revenue, general allocation fund and revenue sharing fund on gross regional domestic products mediated by regional expenditure. Data uses panel data with 17 Regency / Municipality in Southeast Sulawesi and observation period for 2015-2017. Data analysis used path analysis with AMOS 18.0 program and indirect effect test using the Sobel test. The results of the study conclude: a) General Allocation Funds and Revenue Sharing Funds significantly affect Regional Expenditures, while Regional Own Revenues are insignificant; b) Regional Own Revenue and Revenue Sharing Fund significantly affect the Gross Regional Domestic Product, while the General Allocation Fund is not significant; c) Regional Expenditure significantly mediated the effect of General Allocation Funds and Revenue Sharing Fund on Gross Regional Domestic Products, while Regional Expenditures do not significantly mediate in the influence of Regional Own Revenue on Gross Regional Domestic Product. Whereas to increase the gross regional domestic products in Regency / Municipality in Southeast Sulawesi, it is better to regulate Regional Expenditure allocations sourced from the General Allocation Fund.

Abstract

Compensation is also self motivation factor for employees, where those things end in high-low level of work result or performance. This research purposes to test the effect of transformational leadership style, compensation, and motivation of employee’s performance, motivation as an effect mediator from transformational leadership style and compensation to employee’s performance in PT. Bo Kyung Pasuruan. This research is explanatory. In this research uses 96 samples from 2719 employees that work in PT. Bo Kyung Pasuruan. The result of Partial Least Square (PLS) this research shows that transformational leadership style is positively effected but not significant to motivation and employee’s performance. Motivation affect transformational leadership style of employee’s performance, and motivation does not influence compensation of employee’s performance in PT. Abstract

The purpose of this research were: 1) determining the direct effect of government spending on education, health and infrastructure to economic growth and human development index, 2) investigating the direct impact of economic growth on the human development index, 3) describing the indirect consequence of government spending on the sector education, health and infrastructure to the human development index through economic growth. In order to examine the hypothesis testing, the researcher employed path analysis and used the data derived from government spending files which comprised the expenditures on education, health and infrastructure, human development index and economic growth from 1997 up to 2011. The analysis showed that there is a direct effect of government spending on education, health and infrastructure to the human development index and economic growth and indirect influences of the government expenditure on education, health and infrastructure to the human development index through economic growth

Abstract

This research is addressed for the construction of Synthesis between Keynesian, Monetarist and Real Business Cycle Model to the inflation and unemployment Data is used quarterly data 2000.1 - 2014.4, The result of this research with the Keynesian model is the aggregate demand gap has no significance effect to inflation rate and the unemployment rate. But when model of variable input mount the unemployment, exchange rate, wage and the aggregate demand gap of hence yielding elastic inflation elasticity finding of positive of equal to 2,48 to the unemployment rate, and the inflation elasticity to foreign exchange is inelastic positive significance of equal to 0,88. As for the influence of wages to inflation is significantly negative elastic of equal to – 1,89. Besides, in model is also shown by condition of significance of influence of variable of aggregate demand gap to inflation of equal to 0.31. Meanwhile, Inflation in perspective monetarist viewed as by a monetary phenomenon, where the inflation influenced by money supply of equal to 1.858. Besides, Monetarist also express of relation significance of between GDP summed ugly is money supply is inelastic positive significance of equal to 0.1247. The RBC Model shows that the investment elasticity to output is significance inelastic positive equal to 0.405467, that way also with the influence of the population to GDP is significance negative equal to - 1.259925 . The other side, is founded by of Unemployment elasticity to wage rate is significance positive of equal to 0.413. Meanwhile, with the model of synthesis Keynes-Monetarist and RBC lay open that output (GDP) is influenced by the positive significance of equal to 0.206026 . The synthesis model is also expressed by that governmental fiscal governmental expenditure as a means of shows influence which significant to unemployment equal to 0.149. While component amount of money supply, affecting negativity significance to unemployment of equal to 0.55887.

Abstract

The research purpose is to understand level and factor in the failure of fertilizer distribution systembased on minister of industry and commerce instrution No. 70/MPP/Kep/2/2003. To determine the effectiveness of fertilizer distribution system , the author the ratio between the average expected targets and the reality. The results of this research is c2 about 0.500 with the values of c 2 tables around 11.34, significant at the 0.001 level in the region of Ho is received. The conclution is effective distribution of fertilizers rely on the right circumstances, that consist of time, quantity, price, quality, location and type.

Abstract

The purpose of this study to determine the financial performance with the use of the EVA method to the assessment of the performance of PT Bank Mualamat Indonesia Tbk in the period 2010 - 2014. The research method used is quantitative descriptive method using Economic Value Added (EVA), which is an analytical method for evaluating the performance a company to take measurements of the profits (value) economically produced by the company during the period (period of time) specific. The results show the value of Bank Muamalat EVA is negative, meaning that Bank Muamalat in the year 20102014 can not create value-added enterprise or net operating profit after taxes (NOPAT) produced by the company is not able to finance or cover all capital costs or expenses incurred. In 2014 the value of EVA Bank Muamalat increasing, although still negative.

Abstract

The first purpose of the research was to determine the direct and indirect influence of Investment and Government Expenditure on Economic Growth and Regional Income in Berau, while the second purpose was to identify the direct influence of Economic Growth on Regional Income in Berau. In order to get accurate results, the research implemented 2 regression lines to analyze the data. The finding shown in Line Diagram 1 indicated that investment and government expenditure had a direct and significant effect on economic growth in Berau. Meanwhile, on the Line Diagram 2, it appears that investment and government expenditure had a direct effect and an indirect but significant impact on Regional Income in Berau.
