Abstract

The crucial factors for enhancing national competitiveness are the technology readiness of research institutions and the level of industry innovation. The triple helix principle of collaboration between academia, businesses, and government is imperative for successful commercialization of technological inventions. However, this process is not well-established in Indonesia, which necessitates strengthening it to support national competitiveness. This study seeks to reinforce the commercialization process, following Randal Gold Smith's theory, which involves investigation, validation, and commercialization stages. The focus is on strengthening the validation stage, specifically through business model, production, market, and price tests.

Abstract

This paper attempts to portray public managers' perceptions concerning the big data concept using the case of a local government level in Indonesia. This study conducted in-depth semi-structured interviews with sixteen (16) top-level executives at the agencies and offices of the Regency of Bojonegoro, Indonesia, to gather the data. Our findings demonstrate that most of the executives from the agencies and offices in the Regency of Bojonegoro cannot fully explain what constitutes the big data indicators. However, the majority recognized big data from the volume perspective. Although, several executives mixed up big data with the infrastructure needed to manage the data in terms of storage and preservation. As such, this confusion could presumably also manifest in their comprehension of using data for decision-making. The lack of trust in data, lack of understanding of big data, and overconfidence in personal insights have driven the decision-makers to forego data and rely on intuition and experiences in making decisions.

Abstract

This study examines consumer behavior responding to environmental stimuli in original and manipulated online environments. This study aims to modify, alter, or affect independent variables in an experimental study design to gain new insights. The independent variable examined in this study is e-servicescape. We involved 85 participants worldwide to respond to the e-servicescape on the Spotify music platform. The e-servicescape environment stimuli consist of ambient factors, spatial layout and functionality, signs, symbols, artifacts, financial security, and interactivity. The quasi-experiment was implemented and found that consumers exhibit different behaviors and respond better to a pleasant environment rather than a manipulated one. The findings of this study are an early indication for companies to present a pleasant environment for consumers in a service environment.

Abstract

This research is aimed to comprehend the accounting practice and its benefit in triggering one of the most credible SMEs in Malang City to succeed, SME Garuda Jaya. The analytical tool used in this research is transcendental phenomenology. Based on data analysis, two kinds of accounting practices are: (1) accounting practice of mind and memory; and (2) accounting notation to the arrangement of basic financial statements in the form of balance sheets and Profit/ Loss (L / R). both practical accounting establishes duality practices, a practice that combines two distinct and different things into integral and appropriate things to do an accounting practice. Therefore, first, duality practices seek to make synergistic social and economic value. Second, the practice of duality establishes the integration of "masculine" and "feminist" characters to achieve business success, which not only places the orientation into the material aspects of earning income but also on environmental and social responsibility.
