Deiksis is a journal that aims to be a peer-reviewed platform and an authoritative source of information. We publish scientific works from national and international lecturers, researchers, students, and practitioners to present their new ideas, concepts, and theories in Indonesian language and literature education focused on Language Learning and Indonesian Literature, Class Action Research (CAR) of the teaching of Language and Indonesian Literature, Indonesian Linguistics and Literature, Linguistic and Literary analysis as well as related topics. All articles are peer-reviewed by at least two peer-reviewers. Deiksis is managed to be issued twice in every volume. The scope of Deiksis is Indonesian Language and Literature Learning Model, Assessment and Evaluation of Teaching Indonesian Language and Literature, discourse analysis, pragmatics, anthropolinguistics, language and culture, dialectology, language documentation, cognitive linguistics, language education, translation, language planning, psycholinguistics, sociolinguistics and other scientific fields related to language studies.

Abstract

Assessment is an activity that can not be separated from educational activities which carried out should be followed activities by assessment activities. Assessment purpose is not only assessing students’ work but also using as a feed back of rating of the teaching activities carried out. Assessment of students must do continuously during the course of teaching and learning activities. Assessment dealing with quantitative and qualitative data, while measurements are only part of appraisal is always associated with qualitative data. Assessment requires quantitative data from measurements. Conversely, the measurement is also very tied to the special assessment issues related to the objectives and criteria that are used. Assessment is the process of obtaining and using information to make consideration as the basic of information retrieval. Abstract

Pakaian selalu mengkomunikasi sesuatu, pakaian bisa dilihat sebelum kata-kata terdengar dan pakaian bisa berbicara siapa pemakainya. Komunikasi pada hakikatnya merupakan sebuah proses pertukaran makna di mana orang-orang yang terlibat saling mempengaruhi satu sama lain. Melalui pakaian seseorang telah melakukan pertukaran makna dengan yang melihatnya. Sebagai mesin komunikasi, pakaian bisa berbicara siapa pemakainya.Kata kunci : komunikasi, interaksi simbolik

Abstract

The success of a Language programme not only involves the act of the teaching, but also successful education programme, planning,development as well as the implementation play a crucial role. Therefore, a proper course design is regarded important to suit with the course will be conducted. This paper will draw a plan of an English course run by PUSDIKLAT setneg in collaboration with the British Council Jakarta. This group of learners need English for academic studies and their language needs relate to their proficiency in English. The objectives of this course is to prepare the learners to take up further study in English-speaking countries. The learners are graduates of different disciplines such as; economics, finance, law and social sciences. The age is between 25 and 35 and have been strickly selected and have good academic potential, high cognitive competence, systematic way of thinking and usually are very aware of their needs and strengths. Moreover, they have good sense of time and high expectations from their learning. As they are going to study for a higher degree which later will affect their career in their organizations, they usually have high motivation in learning English. These facts indicate that these learners are special, in the sense that they have certain characteristics which are different from those found in learners taking other kinds of English course.Keywords: course design, need analysis, goals and objectives, course contents, syllabus, teaching materials, evaluation and assessment.

Abstract

This research was held in the first year of MTs Al-Hidayatussalafiyah. The samples of this research are 40 students. To get the data, I gave a pronoun test where students had to identify errors concerning subjective, objective, possessive adjective, and possessive pronouns. Data analysis shows that the students made a total of 248 errors which consist of 42 or 16.93 % errors in using subjective pronouns, 111 or 44.75% errors in using objective pronouns, 17 or 6.85% errors in using possessive adjectives, and 78 or 31.45 % errors in the use of possessive pronouns. Based on the percentage, it can be concluded that the students still find difficulties in learning personal pronouns.Key words: Errors, personal pronouns

Abstract

Sebuah model pendidikan yang mengembangkan seni dan kebudayaan menjadi sesuatu yang dinilai penting dalam memberikan konstribusi pada dunia pendidikan nasional. Salah satu keilmuan yang di dalamnya membahas seni dan kebudayaan dengan porsi yang lebih banyak adalah Desain Komunikasi Visual (DKV). Pendidikan Desain Komunikasi Visual merupakan salah satu “program studi mahal” karena dalam kurun waktu sepuluh tahun terakhir, program studi ini menjadi primadona yang diminati oleh masyarakat karena (sekali lagi) dampak dari berkembangnya teknologi informasi dan komunikasi. Program Studi Desain Komunikasi Visual Unindra menyelenggarakan pendidikan tinggi yang berkualitas dengan biaya yang relatif terjangkau. Abstract

Masyarakat Betawi yang tinggal di kota besar seperti Jakarta menghadapi langsung tantangan terkait eksistensi kebudayaan mereka. Salah satu artefak kebudayaan yang semakin terancam eksistensinya adalah ragam hias. Masjid sebagai produk akulturasi antara Islam dengan kebudayaan Betawi memiliki peran yang sangat strategis dalam konteks konservasi kebudayaan lokal.
