Abstract

The environmental pollution is serious problems in the pulp and paper industry especially in lignin degradation process. Recently conventional bleaching process used toxic chemicals such as chlorine that is harm full for the environment. Therefore, an alternative technology, i.e enzyme technology that can reduce chlorine using is required. The goal of this project was to produce the best xylanase activity from Aspergillus niger using solid state fermentation method with wheat bran substrate in which several kind of moistening agent (MA) was selected and the effect of enzyme abilities to degradation hemicelluloses. The experimental result showed that the best xylanase activity was produced using wheat bran : MA ratio (w/v) 1:2, that is 3,1703 IU/ml and cellulase was found to be 1,5299 IU/ml after 4 days incubation with MA nitrogen organic salt solution. With the same variable, addition additive xylose give xylanase activity to be 3,856 IU/ml and cellulase is 1,614 IU/ml

Abstract

Labuangkallo is a village in costal area, located on the bay of Apar, in the boundary of57 km2 national park. Based on the map of hydro oceanography (1980) and bathymetry measurements (2011), there has been changing of coastline during 31 years.It showed significant changes, especially in the protrusion showed abrasion of 4.9507 m / yr. In the review and direct observation, the issues are grouped into three (3) major parts: (a) Labuangkallo river estuary is getting narrow due to sedimentation; (b) Fishermen settlement was eroded by waves, and (c) mangrove forest was destroyed by abrasion. The source of obstruction is, there is magnitude of the waves from the northeast and east coast, and it abrades the land, especially in area of protrusion / headland. It made angled waves against the shoreline andthe wave forces shaping currents that carry sediment along the coast due to abrasion and deposited on the edge of the river Labuangkallo. The conseravation strategy is usingmechanical method is hard treadment by coastal protector constructionand HDPE sand bag materials, there of the vegetation method with soft treadment using mangrove vegetation along the coastal village. Both are considered the strategies forreclamation.

Abstract

Research was conducted in Megonten village, subdistrict Kebonagung, Demak district in 2011 which is the central area of mungbean production. The research objective was to evaluate the impact of using mungbean variety Vima I and supporting technology. Data were collected by surveys, to 20 respondents are farmers cooperator farmers who have adopted the technology research conducted in 2009. The respondent was selected by purposive sampling. The data collected was assessed by using analysis of "before and after" method.. The results showed that the use of Vima I mungben variety followed by improved technology have a positive impact on increasing seed yield revenue. By 167% compared to the local variety, while costs of input was 20% higher than the traditional technology. Determinate planting through tractor (ceblok tractor) and processing of seeds with thresere can save labour costs up to 4,7%. The revenue was increase 213% and B/C ratio 3,22. The impact area of mungbean using Vima I variety increased from 12 in 2008 up to 505 ha in 2011

Abstract

Livestock business by farmers in the Damsol District of Donggala Regency is still traditionally held as a sideline business and low productivity. The objective of this study was to analyze the potential influence of basic and technology potencies farmers on the development of livestock in the Damsol District of Donggala Regency. The study was conducted from November 2011 to January 2012. Total respondents is 40 farmers selected from 123 farmers. Analyzed data included analysis of the basic potential of farmers, technology potential of farmers, and multiple linear regression analysis to determine the effects of the basic and technology potentials of farmers on the development of livestock business. The results showed that the ability of individual farmers in the district was good enough. Basic and technology potentials of the farmers were in medium category. Basic potential of farmer (experience, formal and non formal education, and communication intensity) and technology potential of farmer (feed technology, prevention and control of disease, and the selection of parent), simultaneously affected the development of livestock business at the Damsol District of Donggala Regency. Experience (basic potency), ability to provide feed (technology potency) and ability to select parent (technology potency) significantly influenced the development of livestock business

Abstract

This research was purposed to find out whether there was any significant correlation of the composting time of teak sawdust and EM4 dose on the growth and yield of lowland flower cabbage plants or not. This research was carried out at the Experimental Field of Universitas Merdeka Pasuruan (Sultan Agung Street), Pasuruan City at an altitude of 4 m-asl. This research used factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) method consisted of two factors and repeated three times. The first factor was the length of composting (L) with L1: one month, L2: two months and L3: three months. The second factor was the dose of EM4 (D) with D1 : 10% EM4 dose, D2 : 20% EM4 dose and D3: 30% EM4 dose. Overall there were nine combinations of treatments. The results showed that there was 20% EM4 dose with a 2 months composting time yielded higher results on all observed parameters. Flower cabbage with a dose of 20% EM4 with composting time of 2 months produced fresh weight of 15.97 tons ha-1, at a dose of EM4 20% with a composting time of 1 month produced fresh weight 13.86 tons ha-1, while the lowest yield at dose of 20% EM4 with a composting time of 3 months produced fresh weight 9.79 tons ha-1.

Abstract

All fruits, in the post harvest were easily to damage. Pineapples were also easily to damage so it need the method to maintain its quality. Canning was the process that food or fruits were proceed and than packed in a sealed container and sterilized to kill microbial decomposers and pathogens that were harmful and detrimental to human. The aimed of this study were to analyze the plant layout and facilities at PT. Berjaya Sekawanindo Batu. The results showed that needed for improvements and restructuring the layout of the plant because the material flow pattern and interrelationships of activities were still not an appropriated places and materials. The accumulation of material flow and material handling and facilities spacing were still maximum. The recommendations for new layout design has ability for minimum crossing. This layout would helped to reduce material handling costs, considering the frequency of work flow and increase flexibility to change in demand

Abstract

Animal husbandry sector development plays an important role in fulfil the food from animal requirements by increase production continually to regional or national fulfilment in stamina of the food and economiy. Various effort and increase production by improvement and development program, create oppertunities for exertion, which have an impact to increase peoples income. It need human resource development is the most important for all activities like wise in animal husbandry sector. Improvment of human resourses competence expected to increase effectiveness and efficiency other resources that achieve the high productivity correlation with demand for global development, economic pressure result in situation change, technology and information development. It problem surmountable by develop learning organization. Animal Husbandry Service by husbandry sector development Nganjuk regency tried to create intitution as learning organization that intend to upgrade it role by implementation of accountable goverment of public administration. This effort can created by increase appararatus of Animal Husbandry Service competence that have rela tion with public service. It expected that have good governance to be carry out with can apply the principles of transpiration, participation, law supreme and public accountable. This result based SWOT analysis can be find out desicive factor (1). Husbandry commodity development by artificial insemination program that condusif public policy support, (2). Create condusif investation set the tone for husbandry sector, (3). Artificial insemination center has development as production regional by business partner system to realize income and prosperity of village communities, (4). Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui strategi pengembangan Supply Chain Management (SCM) peternakan sapi potong di Kabupaten Wonogiri. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan September-Desember 2013. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah survei untuk mengumpulkan data primer dari responden dan data sekunder dari dinas terkait. Responden diambil secara purposive sampling. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis SWOT untuk mengetahui strategi pengembangan SCM. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai yang dibobotkan dalam IFE sebesar 3,04 dan nilai yang dibobotkan dalam EFE sebesar 3,31. Hal ini berarti posisi usaha ternak sapi potong di Kabupaten Wonogiri berada pada daerah I yang merupakan tahap Tumbuh dan Bina (Growth and Build). Strategi yang sesuai untuk daerah ini adalah strategi intensif, meliputi penetrasi pasar, pengembangan pasar dan pengembangan produk sapi potong di Kabupaten Wonogiri, selain itu bisa menggunakan strategi integrative yakni integrasi ke belakang, integrasi ke depan dan integrasi horizontal

Abstract

Food demand especially rice is increased similary with populations of people and rice self sufficient program of the indonesian goverment. On the other hand rice production systems was risk due to decreases of quality and quantity agriculture land, climate change and increased pest and diseases infestations. One of new approach and technology to added value and efficiency of farming is by using agriculture biomass for organic fertilizer. Field experiment was conducted at Tegalsari village, Weru Subdistrict and Sukoharjo District during November 2009 to July 2010. The result showed that rice productivity range from 5,65 to 6,80 t/ha with avarage 6,26 t/ha. Organic fertilizer increased rice production by 17,20%, and C-organic soil content 0,30. Agriculture biomass potentially reduced applications of anorganic fertilizer by 54 kg Urea, 89 kg SP36 and 60 kg KCL per ha/year

Abstract

Total Mixed Ration (TMR) is a technology development of silage. The aims of TMR is making feed to keep from microbia, but also contains nutrients to supply nutriens requirement.In the fermentation process have major obstacles in the long ripening. In the long period of the fermentation process which make decrease the nutrient content of feed due to used of feed nutrients by the microbes. TMR research still not optimal so make this research become important to conduct about optimal microbes in the fermentation process of the nutrient content in the manufacture of Total Mixed Ration especially based shoot sugarcane.The method of this research used completely randomized design (CRD) with directional pattern. This research used 2 treatments, the inoculum EM4 (P1) and without inoculum (P0); with the curing time of 0, 7, 14, and 21 days.The results showed that the use of inoculum EM4 in TMR shoot sugarcane can decrease crude fiber content of 29.31% to 24.9% at day 7 compared with the controls, which had decreased on day 21.
