Abstract

During 2013, Graha Mitra NGO showed that 44 transgender involved in transgender organization in Kendal Perwaka have been reached by the Field Officer. During the period of one year 10 transgender were stated positive through monthly STI screening at Kaliwungu Health Center. Outreach data in 2014 showed that the number of affordable transgender became 38 transgender and 17 of them were STI positive. In 2015 the outreach of transgender in Kendal District reached 39 people and 17 of them were STI positive (Graha Mitra NGO, 2015). This study aims to obtain data on the basis on condom use behavior of the customers of transgender sex worker. This study used a qualitative approach, with in depth interview method towards transgender customers as the informants. The skill of using condom was still very low with various confidence levels in using condoms. Permanent couples, peers and the families of transgender clients did not influence the condom use behavior of transgender customers. Perwaka regulates condom use on its members since it was established, provided condoms in Cebongan. The community of transgender in Cebongan was able to do STI prevention and prevention activities. Condom use behavior in customers concluded that the condom use was consistent, but the responsibility for using condoms was low. This study was conducted to create a new program in the effort to overcome STI to a customer group.

Abstract

Recently, the percentage of older adults in Semarang has increased significantly because of the success of national development in the field of health and welfare. Elderly people tend to have greater healthcare utilization because of their health status. However, we need to know the factors that influence the elderly in utilizing health services in X 65%hospitals in the framework of developing a geriatric clinic for improving elderly health services in Semarang. This study aimed to identify factors related to the use of outpatient services among the X Hospital elderly. This is cross sectional study using data from X Hospital, conducted in Januari- Maret 2020 Only those who were 60 years or older were included in the analyses. We used a logistic regression analysis to determine factors associated with use of outpatient services. Among 100 participants, 65% of respondents had actived using the outpatient services in X Hospital. Factors associated with the use of outpatient services were family income, knowledge, attitude of health worker, hospital facilities, self-rated health, the number of chronic conditions, and Activities of Daily Living (ADL).The need for elderly patients in outpatient services is likely to increase along with the increasing elderly population in Indonesia in general and in the City of Semarang in particular. Elderly activeness in Hospital X in utilizing health services in Hospital X provides an opportunity for hospitals in the development of geriatric clinics and service which are currently being initiated by hospitals. Geriatric services at X Hospital providing services to elderly patients to improve the quality of their health, both psychologically and physically., and facilitate them to access appropriate health services according to their needs

Abstract

School health program is all the efforts made to improve the health of school age children at each track, the type and level of education. 2015 3863369 elementary school students and primary coverage of 92.23%. Networking health in elementary school students in Jepara in 2015 amounted to 98.15% in 2016 while the decline was 80%, while the national target of 100%, so the impact on the increase in morbidity in primary school students, demonstrated by the case of diarrhea (related to PHBs) in 2015 amounted to 67.7% of cases and increased in 2016 by 68% of cases, dengue morbidity rate 58.8% while the national target of 51%. This study aimed to analyze Implementation Program School Health Unit (UKS) at the primary school of Urban and Sub-Urban Jepara. The research method is qualitative. The focus of this study contains basic qualitative assessment of the implementation of the program the school health program, which includes standard and policy targets viewed from: aspects of input (human resources, funding, infrastructure, and SOPs), process (planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation) and Output (UKS Service Improvement). Aspects of research results to implement UKS input already available and functioning properly. Both in terms of human resources, finance, infrastructure, and the unavailability of SOP: Human resources at the School of urban and school sub-urban enough, finance Educational urban and suburban use BOS funds, means school,  urban and sub-urban available are still lacking, SOP on urban and sub-urban schools are not available. Implementation aspects are aspects of planning for urban and suburban schools conducted annually by the joint meeting. Output Aspect Monitoring is done directly by the principal, recording and reporting do if someone is sick and referred. This research is expected to provide input in making the program refers to the government's program in the development of UKS program that objective can be achieved optimally, training UKS penaggung jawab specifically for teachers and complete record keeping and administration UKS. 
Comparison of Culture, Social-Economics, Attitude and Behavior of Diabetes Mellitus Patients Between Urban and Rural of Southeast Sulawesi

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a serious health problem; the incidence of diabetes mellitus tends to increase, from 6.9% in 2013 to 8.5% in 2018. The difference in prevalence of diabetes mellitus in urban area is 14.7% and rural 7.2% by influenced lifestyle changes. The purpose of this study was to distinguish between culture, socio-economics, attitudes and behaviour of people with type 2 diabetes mellitus in urban and rural communities in Southeast Sulawesi, especially Kendari City and Konawe Islands. This research was a quantitative research, with a cross sectional approach. The research sample was 130 respondents with cluster techniques. Instrument used a questionnaire sheet. Data collection techniques were in form of interviews, observations and documentation. Analysis of calculations in this study used Mann Whitney and found that there were differences in cultural variables (p = 0,000), socioeconomic (p = 0,000), attitudes (p = 0,000) and behaviour (p = 0,000) in type 2 diabetes mellitus in urban and rural communities. The results shows that the incidence of type 2 diabetes mellitus is more increased in urban areas than rural areas due to food habit, socio-economic, attitudes, behaviour and as a consideration to improve health status by maintaining a healthy lifestyle such as exercise and nutritious food.

Abstract

Kecelakaan kerja belum dapat dikendalikan sepenuhnya sehingga digunakan APD. Jumlah kecelakaan kerja pada Perusahaan Jasa Bongkar Muat kota Semarang periode April 2014 sampai dengan Desember 2015 terjadi 9 kasus. Perusahaan telah memenuhi syarat K3, namun masih tetap saja terjadi kecelakaan kerja yang mengakibatkan kematian. Tujuan penelitian menganalisa pengaruh komitmen kebijakan, penerapan SMK3, pengetahuan dan sikap K3 terhadap penggunaan APD. Penelitian menggunakan teknik mixed method dengan concurrent triangulation. Populasi sebanyak 164 karyawan Perusahaan Jasa Bongkar Muat kota Semarang. Penelitian menggunakan sampel minimal sebanyak 30 responden. Teknik sampling dengan purposive sampling. Subjek penelitian meliputi Manager K3, Supervisor K3 dan karyawan. Pengumpulan data dengan kuesioner, wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisa bivariat yang digunakan Spearman. Analisa multivariat menggunakan Regresi Logistik. Hasil penelitian bahwa sikap K3 berpengaruh terhadap penggunaan APD (p = 0,032), dan mempunyai kecenderungan pengaruh paling besar terhadap penggunaan APD (p = 0,050). Kegiatan P2K3 meliputi briefing safety talk dan safety patrol. Audit SMK3 secara internal setiap 6 bulan sekali, dan audit eksternal setiap 3 tahun sekali. Pelaksanaan sosialisasi K3 sebanyak 3-4 kali setiap tahunnya, dan melalui briefing safety talk setiap harinya. Program pemeriksaan kesehatan setiap karyawan mendapat kesempatan 2 tahun sekali. Penyediaan APD kurang disosialisasikan dengan mengadakan pelatihan tentang penggunaan APD yang benar.Work accidents can't be fully controlled so use PPE. The number of work accidents in Loading and Unloading Service Company of Semarang city from April 2014 until December 2015 happened 9 cases. The Company has fulfilled the OHS requirements, but still there are work accidents that result in death. The purpose of the study analyzed the effect of policy commitment, application of OHS management system, knowledge and attitude of OHS to the use of PPE. The research used mixed method technique with concurrent triangulation. The population of 164 employees of Loading and Unloading Company of Semarang city. The study used a minimum of 30 respondents. Sampling technique with purposive sampling. Research subjects include OHS Manager, OHS Supervisor and employees. Data collection with questionnaires, interviews, observation and documentation. Spearman's bivariate analysis technique. Multivariate analysis using Logistic Regression. The result of research indicated that OHS attitude had an effect on the use of PPE (p = 0,032), and had the most influence on PPE (p = 0,050). OHS organizing comittee activities include briefing safety talk and safety patrol. Audit of OHS management system internally every 6 months, and external audit every 3 years. Implementation of OHS socialization 3-4 times every year, and through briefing safety talk every day. Health examination program every employee gets a chance every 2 years. The provision of PPE is less socialized by conducting training on the correct use of PPE.

Abstract

Tuberkulosis merupakan penyakit menular yang disebabkan oleh Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Salah satu indikator untuk mengevaluasi keberhasilan pengobatan TB paru adalah dengan melihat konversi. Perilaku merokok dapat merusak makrofag paru-paru, sehingga kuman TB Paru resisten terhadap pengobatan yang dilakukan oleh pasien.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan perilaku merokok dengan keja diangagal konversipasi entuberkulosis paru di BKPM Wilayah Semarang. Penelitianini menggunakan desain penelitian case control. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 62 orang yang ditentukan dengan metode simple random sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara perilaku merokok, lama riwayat merokok,dan jumlah rokok yang dihisap perhari dengan kejadian gagal konversi nilaip-value 0,05 sedangkan usia mulai merokok dan jenis rokok tidak berhubungan nilaip-value 0,05. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini disarankan agar menghindari dan tidak melakukan aktivitas merokok,khususnya pada pasien yang menjalani pengobatan.Tuberculosis is an infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis.One of the indicators for monitoring treatment success by looking at the incidence of pulmonary TB smear conversion in patients. Smoking behavior can damage lung macrophages, so the germs of TB resistant to treatment performed by the patient.This study aims to determine the relationship of smoking behavior with the incidence of pulmonary tuberculosis patients failed conversion in Semarang Regional BKPM. This study uses a case control study design. The research sample of 62 people who were determined by simple random sampling method. The results showed there is a significant relationship between smoking behavior, a long history of smoking, and the number of cigarettes smoked per day by the failed conversion events p-value 0.05 while the age start smoking and cigarette types not associated p-value 0.05. Based on the results of this study are advised to avoid smoking and not doing activities , particularly in patients undergoing treatment. Abstract

Stunting is a chronic nutritional problem caused by lack of nutritional intake for a long time, because of giving food that is inappropriate with needs. In 2017, around 150,8 million or 22,2% toddlers in the world were stunting. Based on data from WHO, states that Indonesia is included in the top three countries with the highest stunting prevalence in the southeast Asia, with an average from 2005-2017 reaching 36,4%. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of nutritional intake, history of infectious diseases, environmental sanitation and immunization status of stunting incidence. This study is quantitative with a cross sectional approach, and it is using simple random sampling. The analysis calculation of this study is using path analysis. The result of this study on stunting variable were nutritional intake (p value = 0,000), history of infectious diseases (p value = 0,062) then hypothesis that immunization status direct effect the incidence of stunting is Ho, means rejected.

Abstract

Cervical cancer is a malignant disease that is preceded by the condition of precancerous cervical lesions, namely the existence of cervical intraepithelial dysplasia / neoplasia (NIS). This study attempted to analyze the effect of characteristics and patterns of women behavior on the case of precancerous cervical lesions. The study belonged to observational study with a cross sectional study design. For more, the subjects of the study involved the population of 60 women who were positive for precancerous cervical lesions, while the number of sample was the same as the population, namely 60 respondents sampled by using total sampling technique. Their data were analyzed by using path analysis model. In conclusion, the factors of socioeconomic, age, history of STIs (Sexually Transmitted Infections) directly influence the case of precancerous cervical lesions and indirect effects of parity followed by the use of contraception on the case of precancerous cervical lesions.

Abstract

Kemampuan rumah sakit dalam memenuhi kebutuhan pasien dapat menjadi tolak ukur puas atau tidaknya pasien terhadap pelayanan yang diberikan. Untuk mengetahui kualitas pelayanan yang diberikan oleh rumah sakit, diperlukan pandangan dari pasien. Data jumlah pasien BPJS di RSUD Bima mengalami penurunan, pada tahun 2014 berjumlah 14.009 pasien, tahun 2015 berjumlah 12.202 pasien, bulan Januaru sampai bulan Oktober 2016 berjumlah 10.686 pasien. Tujuan penelitian menganalisis faktor assurance terhadap tingkat kepuasan pasien BPJS di ruang rawat inap RSUD Bima.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif, pendekatan cross sectional study. Jumlah sampel 66 pasien dibagi menjadi tiga kelompok kelas, yaitu pasien BPJS kelas I, kelas II dan kelas III. Setiap kelas berjumlah 22 pasien. Analisis data menggunakan analisis univariat, bivariat, dan multivariate. Hasil penelitian diperoleh kelas I, faktor yang paling berpengaruh terhadap kepuasan pasien yaitu faktor responsiveness, ditunjukkan oleh nilai OR tertinggi OR=45,000 P=0,015. Kelas II faktor yang paling berpengaruh adalah emphaty OR=17,397, P=0,033. Kelas III faktor yang paling berpengaruh yaitu assurance OR=15,685, P=0,039. Kesimpulan ada pengaruh yang signifikan antara faktor Assurance terhadap kepuasan pasien BPJS kelas III. Sehingga perlu kiranya petugas medis dalam melaksanakan tugas, lebih peduli kepada pasien serta memberikan jaminan untuk menimbulkan kepercayaan pasien terhadap RSUD Bima.The ability of hospital to meet the needs of patients can be a benchmark for whether the patients satisfy or not to the services provided. To observe the quality of services provided by the hospital, it needs the views of the patients. The number of BPJS patients in Bima Regional General Hospital continued to decrease, in 2014 there were 14.009 patients, in 2015 there were 12.202 patients, January until October 2016 there were 10.686 patients. The study objective is to analyze the assurance factor, tangibles factor on the satisfaction level of BPJS patients in the wards of Bima Regional General Hospital.This study was a quantitative descriptive study, cross sectional study approach. The samples were 66 patients divided into three class groups, namely BPJS class I, BPJS class II and BPJS class III. Each class is 22 patients. Data were analyzed used univariate, bivariate, and multivariate analysis. The quality of medical staff service from responsiveness factor, empathy factor, and assurance factor greatly affected the satisfaction of BPJS Class I, Class II, and Class III patients. The conclusion was that there was significant influence between responsiveness, indicated by the value or highest OR=45,000, P=0.015. Class II the most influential factor is emphaty OR=17,397, P=0,033. In class III the most influential factor namely assurance OR=15,685, P=0.039. Conclusion there is a significant impact between the factor Assurance of customer satisfaction patients BPJS class III. So it is necessary for the medical staff to carry out their duty, provide more care to the patients and provide assurance to create patients’ trust to Bima Regional General Hospital.

Abstract

Practicing open defecation is a health and social problem that needs immediate attention. About 17 percent of households in 2010 or around 41 million people still defecated in the outside rather than in toilet. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of  Total Family Latrine Village (KATAJAGA) health education on the changes of knowledge, attitudes and behavior of defecating in the community in Tambakromo Bojonegoro. This study applied a quantitative research with a quasy experimental research method by using pre-post-test with control group design. The sample in this study consisted of 236 respondents representing the intervention group and the control group conducted by using a purposive sampling technique. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire and observation sheet. The data collection techniques were interviews, pre-test and post-test. The data analysis in this study was done by using Mann Whitney to determine the differences between the experimental group and the control group. The results of the study showed that there was an effective effect of giving Total Family Latrine Village (KATAJAGA) education on the changes in knowledge (p = 0,000), attitudes (p = 0,000), and behaviour (p = 0,000) of defecation. There were differences between the intervention and control groups in Tambakromo Bojonegoro community, it can be seen from the p value is 0.05. Efforts to improve the environmental sanitation and basic sanitation conditions in East Java were carried out by using Community-Based Total Sanitation (STBM).
