Abstract

Cervical cancer is a type of cancer that affects women of reproductive age. The incidence of cervical cancer in the world is in the second position which is a major problem of women's health, in developing countries especially in Indonesia. Health workers have been intensively taking preventive measures to reduce the high prevalence of cervical cancer in Indonesia. Precautions can be taken by action the early detection method is simple, namely visual inspection with acetic acid (VIA). This study aims to analyze the factors that influence the efforts of women of childbearing age to carry out early detection of cervical cancer using the visual inspection with acetic acid method. This research is a quantitative study with a case control study approach. A sample of 150 respondents consisting of 50 case samples and 100 control samples were obtained by using a 2-stage sampling technique, namely cluster random sampling and proportionated random sampling. Data analysis used chi square test and logistic regression. The results showed that the p value of occupation (p = 0.047), socio-economics (p = 0.138), history of sexually transmitted diseases (p = 0.318), health insurance participation (p = 0.007). The conclusion of this study is that there is an influence between occupation and health insurance participation against visual inspection with acetic acid visits.

Abstract

Exclusive breastfeeding decreases with age. Based on data in Semarang City, Pegandan Health Center is the second consecutive year (2016-2017) in the lowest exclusive breastfeeding (24.69%). This shows that there are still many mothers who give non-exclusive breastfeeding. The problem in this study is what factors cause non-exclusive breastfeeding. The purpose of this study was to obtain an overview of the causes of non-exclusive breastfeeding by mothers in area of Pegandan Health Center. The research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The informants in this study were mothers who had babies aged 0-12 months and obtained as many as 12 informants. The data collection technique was done by in-depth interviews using interview guidelines. The results found that low knowledge, lack of motivation, lack of husband and family support made mothers fail to provide exclusive breastfeeding. Suggestions for health center are to increase counseling about exclusive breastfeeding, not only mothers, but also those closest to them such as grandmothers / husbands that can be done through routine meetings such as PKK or other routine meeting activities.

Abstract

Nutrition is an important factor that directly affects the quality of human resources, health problems and childhood nutrition is a major factor inhibiting the achievement of quality generation. Profile data Semarang City Health Office (2017), cases of malnutrition children year 2013-2016 showed a rising trend. Semarang City Health Office have children malnutrition treatment programs in a comprehensive manner, ie checks and supplementary feeding for malnourished children under five in the "House of Nutrition", but from the years 2014-2017, malnutrition children cared for street at House Nutrition Semarang City Health Office just less than 30% improved nutritional status. This study aimed to evaluate the program that has been done, in an effort to improve the nutritional status of children being treated at the Nutrition Semarang with the implementation of a comprehensive health examination program against malnutrition children. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. Selection of informants using purposive sampling technique and snowball sampling. The collection of data by observation using observation, in-depth interviews using interview guides, as well as data from medical records of patients. Program improvement of malnutrition at Home Nutrition Semarang implemented by examination of outpatient comprehensively for 6 months, including anthropometric measurements, determining the nutritional status, provision of F-100 during the inspection and the package to take home, a medical examination by a doctor, medical examination and performed stimulation of early detection and intervention of child development, physiotherapy, counseling and demos nutrition, administration high-calorie high-protein snacks, as well as vitamins and drugs has been running well, only need to be improved in the provision of nutritional counseling and family counseling. Increased IEC necessary for parents of toddlers so that there is a commitment to implement a whole series of checks and recommended by doctors and officers well.
Demography Characteristic of Married Women and Abortion Behavior in Unwanted Pregnancy

Abstract

Unwanted pregnancy is a reproductive health problem that has an impact on high maternal mortality and unsafe abortion rates, Indonesia is one of the developing countries with maternal mortality rates (MMR) in 2015 researching 305 per 100,000 live births, this number is still far from the target of sustainable development goals (SDGs) to reduce MMR to 70 per 100,000 live births in 2030 (Ministry of Health, 2017). The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of married women demographic characteristics and unsafe abortion behavior on unwanted pregnancies in the Indonesian Family Planning Associating (PKBI) in Pemalang district. This research is a mixed method research with a quantitative explanatory design. The samples of the study were married women with unwanted pregnancies totaling 287 respomdents, with purposive sampling. Data analysis used chi square and logistic regression. Meanwhile, to support quantitative data from unsafe abortion behavior, eight informants were taken as qualitative data sources through interviews. The results showed that the characteristics of age, income and number of children were significantly associated with unsafe abortion behavior while the demographic caharacteristics that most affected the behavior of unsafe abortion were high risk age (p. 006 with OR 2,917) and the number of children was more than 2 (p. 0,044 with OR 2.069). Unwanted pregnancies in married women generally occur in old age whose already have enough children. Plan a pregnancy and arrange with contraceptive methods, so that the number of mobility and mortality associated with unsafe abortion can be reduced.
Determinants of Mother Behavior in Disposing Household Garbage in Ternate City

Abstract

The garbage problem is increasing in line with the increase in population, especially in urban areas. Lifestyle and development impacts exacerbate the garbage problem. Poor management can have an impact on the health of residents, either due to pollution or flooding. The role of housewives in managing sampak at the family level is very important. The purpose of this study was to analyze the determinants of mother behavior in disposing of household garbage in Ternate City, North Maluku Province. This type of research is a quantitative study, using a correlation analytic research design and a cross sectional study design approach. The sample in this study amounted to 100 housewives. The instruments used were questionnaires, observation and checklist sheets. Data analysis This study uses path analysis techniques. The results showed that there was an effect of education on the behavior of mothers in disposing of household garbage in Ternate City, North Maluku Province, p-value of 0.000 α (0.05). There is no influence of income p-value of 0.255 α (0.05). Cultural p-value is 0.749 α (0.05). And there is a perception effect of p-value of 0.042 α (0.05). Education through perception is 35.2%, the rest is from other factors. Income through perception is 11.8%. Culture through perception of 31%. The conclusion from the study shows that the education and perception factors are more dominant and directly influence the behavior of mothers in disposing of garbage.

Abstract

Accreditation is the beginning to improve the quality of services including improving the quality of management and leadership, planning strategies, satisfaction of service users, strengthening coordination between stakeholders and increasing the ability of Human Resources. 37 Semarang City Public Health Centers have been accredited with predicate; 1 Plenary, 4 Main, 23 Intermediate and 9 Basic. The purpose of this study was to analyze the implementation of quality management as a service quality control system in the Semarang City Public Health Center after the accreditation assessment. This type of qualitative research with descriptive analytic design. Data collection techniques with in-depth interviews, observation, and document search. The population is the Public Health Center that passed the plenary and primary accreditation, the sampling technique used was using random sampling. Analysis of the data was using data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions which are carried out simultaneously. The results showed that the internal quality instrument of UKP services in health centers after the accreditation assessment was not fully implemented, it was necessary to strengthen commitment, standardize facilities and infrastructure to support clinical services, analysis of human resource adequacy both in quantity and quality, increase in knowledge for employees about the clinical service quality system through regular training and assistance, capacity building of accompanying human resources on accreditation assistance techniques, support from the Department of Health and cross-sectoral, basic document review, restructuring of quality organizations and Public Health Center organization, monitoring and evaluation which is carried out maximally and continuously.
The Influence of Knowledge, Motivation, and Attitude Toward The Behavior of Housewife to Eradicate of Aedes Aegepty Mosquito Nest (PSN)

Abstract

Semarang city is the region with the highest dengue hemorrhagic fever cases in central java province. Eradication of aedes aegepty mosquito nest is one of the efforts considered appropriate in the prevention and eradication of dengue hemorrhagic fever. The active participation of housewives is necessary, the participation of housewives depends on the knowledge, motivation, and attitudes of the community towards the disease and its prevention. The purpose of this research is to analyze the influence of knowledge, motivation, and attitude toward the behavior of housewife to eradicate aedes aegepty mosquito nest (PSN). This research methos is quantitative with cross sectional design.Population of all housewives in Bulustalan Village Semarang, the sample amounted to 90 samples using purposive sampling technique. The results showed that there was an influence between knowledge on the behavior of mosquito nest eradication (p = 0,000). There is an influence between motivation to the behavior of mosquito nest eradication value (p = 0.012). There is an influence between attitudes toward the behavior of mosquito nest eradication value (p = 0.000). Logistic regression results showed that the more dominant knowledge influenced the behavior of mosquito nest eradication (p = 0,008) and Exp (B) value 4,365. The conclusion of housewife who has knowledge, motivation, and good attitude affect the behavior of housewife to eradicate aedes aegepty mosquito nest (PSN) 
Factors Affecting Tardiness of Part-Time Medical Specialists at the Polyclinic of X Hospital

Abstract

Service waiting time in an outpatient is an indicator of minimum hospital quality service standards. The amount of waiting time at the X hospital's polyclinic in 2018 was 84.75 minutes, exceeding the hospital quality service standard in 2009 at 60 minutes. The preliminary research shows that the waiting time for medical services by part-time medical specialists was 60.75 minutes. This study aims to identify factors that affect part-time medical specialists' tardiness at X Hospital's polyclinic. This study performed an analytical survey using a cross-sectional approach from May to June 2020. It collected data from 67 part-time medical specialists who conduct medical practices at the polyclinic. Univariate, bivariate Spearman correlation and multivariate multiple linear regression tests with the Backward method were performed to analyze data. The bivariate analysis shows a significant effect of biographical characteristics factor where practice hours are less the standard time of 60 minutes ( p=0.01) and extrinsic factor of the work environment (p= 0.019) on the tardiness of part-time medical specialists. Work environment was the most affecting factor in late medical practices (p=0.016, Exp B/OR -0.433). This study could be a reference for the hospital to manage the human resources in terms of proper practice hours and a supportive work environment for patient medical services.
Analysis of Family Income Factors on Diarrhea Incidence through Behavior in Tapalang

Abstract

Diarrhea is one of an endemic disease and also a potential disease of outbreaks in Indonesia, including in Mamuju, West Sulawesi, where the disease is often accompanied by death. Tapalang is a sub-district with the highest cases of diarrhea in Mamuju in recent years. This study used a case control design with a fixed disease sampling technique. The population in this study were all toddlers in Tapalang as many as 1927 people with a total sample of 60 cases and 60 controls so that a total of 120 samples. The instruments used in this study were questionnaires, checklists and observation sheets. Data were analyzed using Multivariate analysis. The results showed that there was a direct and statistically significant effect between family income on the incidence of diarrhea (b = 1.50; 95% CI = 0.319 to 2.68; p = 0.013). There was an indirect influence between family income on the incidence of diarrhea through behavior but not statistically significant (b = 0.98; 95% CI = -0.76 to 2.73; p = 0.269). There is a direct influence between behavior and the incidence of diarrhea even though it is not statistically significant (b = 0.74; 95% CI = -0.41 to 1.90 p = 0.210). The conclusions of toddlers diarrhea in Tapalang is influenced by family income. It is hoped that this research can be used as a reference for related parties in diarrhea control policies and also for mothers and toddlers' families in efforts to prevent diarrhea in toddlers.
The Quality, Quantity and Age of Giving Breastfeeding for Toddlers in Relation with Nutritional Status

Abstract

Malnutrition is one of the main causes of malnutrition. Globally, poor nutritional status is one of the causes of under-five mortality. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of the quality, quantity and age of providing complementary food for breast milk in relation to the nutritional status of children.This study was an observational study with a cross sectional study design. The population of toddlers aged 7-24 months is 344 toddlers, a sample of 77 toddlers. Data retrieval is using simple random sampling technique using Slovin formula.The results are showed that the three independent variables affected the nutritional status of children. The obtained is p-value (0.001) quality, (0,000) quantity and age (0,000).Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between the quality of complementary food for breast milk to the nutritional status of children with ap value of 0.001 (p 0.05), there is a relationship between the quantity of complementary food for the nutritional status of children with p value amounting to 0,000, and there is a relationship between the age of providing complementary food for breast milk to the nutritional status of children with ap value of 0.000. This research is expected to benefit the community. For information on the program of dissemination and counseling on the quality and quantity of complementary feeding for mother's milk the which is good in the family and the impact the caused by nutritional problems in infants.Â
