Abstract

This research is purposed to find out student’s work attitudes for timber construction subject in construction major class SMKN 1 Padang, year of school 2012/2013. Problem that being identified in this research is the lack of employment for students of SMK; this is proved that they should have not only skills but also positive work attitudes. This research is descriptive. Population in this research is 16 students of construction major class XI SMKN 1 Padang, year of school 2012/2013, that performed apprenticeship. Instrument that used for data collection is questionnaire, while data analysis technique that being used in this research is statistical descriptive with percentage computation. Based on results found out that for student’s attitudes for timber construction subject is good with percentage is 80.89%. Key words : attitudes work, prakerin, praktek kerja kayu.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research is purposed to find out the requirement of training utilities for land geometry subject at SMKN 1 west Sumatra. Research was conducted by observation and interview. Data analysis technique that used in this research was descriptive quantitative analysis. Research finding shows that there are 15 training utilities that can be applied for land geometry subject. Types and numbers of utilities to fulfill training utilities requirement are 7 gages, 5 measuring tapes, 28 measuring pens, 24 yalons, 5 data boards, 5 square prisms, 5 strands, 6 hoses, 5 measuring signs, 6 measuring vessels, 5 tripod, 5 leveling, 5 compasses, 5 theodolites, 6 umbrellas.Keywords: requirement analysis, utilities.

Abstract

Abstract This study was conducted to reveal the cause of low interest in following PKM activities of Civil Engineering Department Students, at Engineering Faculty of Padang State University (UNP). This case is caused by the fact that the Students’ interest is relatively low in following PKM activities in 2013. This study was conducted on students of Building Engineering Study Program of Civil Engineering Department at Engineering Faculty of UNP year 2010 and 2011. Total population in this study is 167. The numbers of samples for this study are 118; Students of year 2010 are 59 Students and the year 2011 are 59 students. Technique of data collection is using the Likert scale questionnaire. The results showed that the low of students’ interest in attending PKM activity is caused, among others: in the  cognition indicator are the lack of Students’ knowledge in PKM proposals development and the lack of information obtained by the students, in the emotion indicator are less happy feelings in following PKM activities, as well as the lack of willingness of Students to follow PKM activities, and lack of students’ attention about PKM activities (in wish indicator). Abstract

Abstract The problem of this research is there are persistence of students who scored below the minimum completeness criteria (KKM) because the teaching methods was not well in courses Drawing With Software (MDPL). Interactive CD media utilization is expected to improve the interaction of teachers and students. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to reveal how the benefits of the Interactive CD media in teaching and learning at the SMK Negeri 1. This research uses quantitative approach to be descriptive. Subjects in this study is a class XI student of Architecture Engineering which amounted to 15 people. Technique used in data collection is observation sheets, questionnaires using Guttman scale and interview guides. The results of this research show that the use of the Interactive CD media on students of SMK Negeri 1 Tilatang Kamang included in the beneficial category because the result the average difference between the value of students before and after using the Interactive CD media increased. Data description questionnaire distributed to respondents, shows the average responses of the students are very well categorized. Keywords: Utilization, Media, Interactive CD

Abstract

ABSTRACT Based of the lack of student interest in the teaching assignment. The purpose of this study was to determine students perceptions about the teaching assignment. This research is descriptive. Population in this research is the students of Building Engineering Education class of 2011 who follow and are listed in PPLK in half from July to December 2014. The sampling technique using total sampling as many as 52 samples of the population of 52 students. Data were collected using a questionnaire research as much as 39 point statements with Likert Scale Modification of four answer choices. From the results, the main cause of most affect the low perceptions of the students about the teaching assignment is the readiness to become a teacher at 69.47%. Aside from the readiness, other causes that affect the students' perceptions about the teaching assignment is the personality with the degree of achievement of 70.43%, amounting to 70.96% motivation, PPLK experience by 71.25%, 72.40% expectations, the willingness of 72.78%, interest amounted to 73.21%, and lastly, the low perception of the students about the teaching assignment is the order of 77.04%. The conclusion of this study, the average degree of achievement of 72.19% included in the category good enough. Keywords: Perception, Student, Teacher Assignment.

Abstract

This research is descriptive with population is students of civil engineering amounted to 613 students. By using stratified random sampling, samples are acquired as much as 86 students. Instrument in this research is questionnaire with Likert scaled. This research is purposed to get a description or to reveal the utilization of internet by civil engineering students in engineering faculty of Padang University. In connection to the purpose, data is analyzed by percentage (%) calculation technique. Results in this research shows that internet utilization by civil engineering students highly varied, depend on needs of each student of civil engineering major, engineering faculty of Padang University. Abstract

This research experiment, the study population is a mortar made ​​from a mixture of cement, sand, gray scale boiler, water with cement of the same weight. For the sample in this study was sampled mortar and sample materials. Sample testing of concrete cube of size 5 cm x 5 cm x 5 cm by 54 pieces of the specimen. The data used in this study is primary data is data taken directly to the object of researchers by making and testing of the specimen. From the research shows that, by using gray scale oil palm shell boiler influential as mortar additives, compressive strength reached an optimum value is 18.873 MPa at 15% with a variation of the addition of water absorption power 17, 441% does not exceed the value of the control mortar compressive strength 19.026 MPa 14.965% water absorption power. Crust boiler ash can be used as a substitute for sand crust boiler ash containing carbon that are hard like sand element. Abstract

The purpose of this descriptive  comparative research was to see the differentiation of students’ score of learning based on students’ interest of Construction Engineering Education “PS-PTB 2009-2010”. The population of this research were 140 students of PS-PTB 2009-2010. The sample were 140 respondens which was use  proportional random sampling technique, was about 140 students. Data used were primary data and secondary data. Primary data was gotten from distributing questioners based on students’ interest. On the other hand, secondary data was students’ scoring in learning gotten from UPT Puskom UNP. The result of data analysis shows that there is no differentiation of students’ scoring in learning based on students’ interest of PS-PTB, civil engineering 2009-2010. It can be seen from T test, taccount (-1,14) > ttable. Key words : Interest, learning result.
