Abstract

The title of this research is the Comparative Result of Learning of Students who graduated from senior high school (SMA) and senior high school of engineering (SMK) at Engineering Educational Program of Enggineering Faculty of Padang State University (UNP), the aims of this research are to desribe and compare the comulative grade of students from first semester to the third semester. The number of data for comparation are 55 students graduated from senior haigh school of engineering and 39 students graduated from senior high school. The analyzed data are collected from BAAK (Academic Affairs Administrative Bureau). The data was analyzed by using the two test mean difference method (t-test). The result shows that there is no difference between graduated from senior high school of engineering and senior high school at the first and the second semester with the value of ratio > 1.663 and a difference in semester III with the value of ratio <1.663 and 0.05 confidence level. Based on the analysis, no difference for 1st and 2nd semester because the subjects are general subjects.

Abstract

This research is purposed to reveal the connection between industrial practice of with productive study results for student of SMKN Bintan, which background is reality of declining student’s study result after following industrial practice, in fourth semester. This descriptive correlation research, with 64 students who is follows industrial practice in third semester as population. Based on Harry King nomogram is obtained 51 samples. Instrument that is used is questionnaire about industrial practice. Result of this research by using Product Moment Pearson found no connection between industrial practice with study result in fourth semester at SMKN 1 industrial practice. This is related to incapability of student to connect the knowledge from industrial practice with theory from school. Then, industrial practice is only providing work experience for student, not to increasing their study results. Key words :        prakerin, hasil belajar, mata pelajaran produktif

Abstract

ABSTRACT The research is aimed to reveal contribution of visual, auditory and kinesthetic learning style toward learning outcomes of students on engineering mechanical subject at class X SMKN 1 Pariaman. The research is aimed to find out what style that gives the biggest contribution toward student’s learning outcome on engineering mechanical. The type of this research was ex post facto with correlation analytic approach. Population in this study was all students of class X building engineering SMKN 1 Pariaman year of school 2014/2015 which amounted to 127 students. Sample was 97 students that sorted by proportional random sampling technique. Type of data was primary and secondary data. Data analysis techniques that used in this research were: (1) data descriptive analysis, (2) analysis regulation testing, and (3) hypothesis testing. From hypothesis testing and discussion then it can be concluded that visual auditory and kinesthetic learning styles give contribution toward student’s learning outcome on mechanical engineering subject at class X building engineering SMKN 1 Pariaman. Kinesthetic learning style gives the biggest contribution. Keyword: contribution, learning style, learning outcome

Abstract

Abstract   SMK is study of vocational school which was aimed to emphasize readiness students for to enter workfield and expand professional attitude. Yet, not all of SMK students interested to enter the working world, contrary interested for continue study. This research was a know correlation student of the working world with interest work r interested for continue study at direction build SMK Negeri 1 Guguak Kabupaten 50 Kota. This research was a descriptive research corelational, which was aimed to know how wide influence variable (X) towards variable (Y) and type correlation happen. The population of this study was students class X and XII of  whish are 52 students, and The sample was taken by using simple random sampling whish are 35 students. Based on the data analysis, it was assumed that correlative coefficient was (r=0,4402). And then concluded of data analysis is accepted correlation between knowledge about working world with interest work or interest continued study on significantcy 5%.   Key word : Pengetahuan, Dunia Kerja, Minat bekerja, Minat Melanjutkan Studi.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Forconductingstudythe teacher is notonlypreparethemselvesphysicallyandmentally, but they also prepare the scenarioorthe Rencana Proses Pembelajaran(RPP). Thisstudyaimstoanalyze thelearning processin the classroomwithlesson planscreated byteachers.The type of thisresearchisdescriptive. Populationin this studyis thefirstclassof studentsmajoring inconstructionengineeringandthe studysamplewas takenbyrandom sampling techniquewith atotal sample of83students.The type of datainthisresearchisprimary dataobtaineddirectlyfromobservationsusingthe observation sheetandsecondary dataobtainedfromschoolrecordsrelated tothe number of studentsin that class. Data analysis techniquesimplementationprocessof learningis donetoanalyzethe learningprocesswith descriptive analysistechniquewhichanalyzesthe implementationof learningin accordancewithlesson planscreated byteachersandtranslatedin narrative form.The results ofthe analysis shows that the learning process is good categories and suitable with RPP, percentage of students attended the TGB, TKK and TKB 66.66% and  69.11%, 70.59% and 75.05%, 70.26% and 69.28% for 1st class and 2nd class respectively for each subject. Abstract

This research is a descriptive study aimed to reveal the extent of public awareness about disaster mitigation Nagari Tandikat earthquake. Understanding the observed include: 1) Knowledge of earthquake disaster mitigation, 2) Knowledge about earthquakes, 3) Knowledge of the construction of earthquake-friendly buildings, 4) Understanding of mitigation policies, 5) An understanding of earthquake preparedness, 6) An understanding of the structure of friendly buildings quake. The populationin this studyispeople inas many as11,060people Tandikat Nagariandsamples usedby 95people, samplingtechniquestratified randomsampling. Types of data usedare primary dataobtained fromquestion nairesdistributedto the community. Samples wereclassifiedaccording tosocialstatus. The dataanalysis techniqueswithdescriptive statistical analysisusingthe percentage formulathendescribedin narrative form. The analysis showedthat the level ofpublic awarenessaboutthe earthquakedisaster mitigation, themitigationknowledge, general knowledge ofearthquakes andearthquakefriendlybuilding constructionknowledgeis still relativelymoderatesoialnyastatusin each group, exceptfor thesub-indicatorsof knowledgemitigation. Understanding ofmitigationismitigation policies, earthquakepreparednessandimplementation ofearthquake-friendly structureis still a relativelylowsocialstatusgroupsat eachcommunity. Abstract

ABSTRACTThe aim of this study was to know external factors cause the delay of students majoring in civil engineering in finishing thesis. The design of the research is descriptive research. The population of this research is 128 students of civil engineering at faculty of engineer state university of padang. The sample is of 56 students that were taken by porposive sampling technique. Data were collected using a question naire with likert scale that used four answer choices positive and negative statements. The number of statements in the question naire were 43 point statement.The result showed that external factors cause the delay of students majoring in civil engineering in finishing thesis at the high category at 62,50 %, with details of the indicators: 1) factor family at the high category of ammounted to 44,64 %, 2) factor campus at the high category of ammounted to 73,22 %, 3) factor community at the high category of ammounted to 58,93 %, and the most dominant factor causing delay in completing the thesis is a factor campus. Keywords        : external factor, student, thesis

Abstract

ABSTRACT The background of this research was the problems faced by building engineering education program students in which they were still lack of discipline, incompetent, and less of cooperative in doing the field practice of stone and concrete engineering-work. In addition, there were many students who got low marks in stone and concrete engineering-work subject. This research aimed at knowing the correlation of the realization of the experiment and the result of the experiment itself. This research was correlational research whose aim was to know whether the correlation of the variable of the research is strong or weak. The population of the research was the whole technique building education program students of Universitas Negeri Padang who took stone and concrete engineering-work subject on January-June 2015. The sample of the research was taken by using cluster random sampling. The sample was all students in a class chosen. The data of the research was collected through observation of the respondents observed when the experiment was in progress.The result of the research showed that there was a correlation of the realization of experiment and the result of the experiment itself. It was emphasized with the result of r that showed the value r = 0,917 with probability Sig. (2tailed) 0,000<0,05. Based on that data, it can be concluded that H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. Thus, both the realization of experiment and its result have a possitive and significant correlation.   Kata kunci : Pelaksanaan Praktek, Hasil Praktek, Rekayasa Kerja Batu dan   Beton

Abstract

The background of this study is the low student achievement in Teknik Gambar Bangunan subjects Menerapkan Dasar-dasar Gambar Teknik in SMK Negeri 4 Solok Selatan the academic year 2010/2011 as much as 42.86% and the academic year 2011/2012 a total of 37,5%. This study is correlational, which aims to reveal the relationship learning environment with academic achievement subjects Menerapkan Dasar-dasar Gambar Teknik, by hypothesis there is a correlation with academic achievement learning environment subjects Menerapkan Dasar-dasar Gambar Teknik students at SMK Negeri 4 Solok Selatan. The study population was all students in Teknik Gambar Bangunan as many as 38 people, with a total sampling techniques. The data were taken using a questionnaire Likert scale models to study environmental variables (X) and student achievement (Y) are from the semester exam subjects Menerapkan Dasar-dasar Gambar Teknik. Data analysis consisted of: (1) description of the data (2) testing requirements analysis and (3) test the hypothesis. Based on data analysis results that the correlation coefficient (r = 0.587) on the probability of 0.000 <0.05 Significant Alpha. The hypothesis is acceptable, there is a significant correlation between the learning environment with academic achievement. Key words : Lingkungan Belajar, Prestasi Belajar

Abstract

The background of this research was the low achievement of second grade students at first semester test in academic year 2011/2012, 37,03% TGB1 students and 80,77% of TGB2 students got under standard grade for Gambar Bangunan subject. This research was a correlation study which was aimed to explain the contribution of learning motivation on the student achievement of Gambar Bangunan subject at SMK Negeri 2 Solok. The population of this study was all of TGB students of second grade whish are 43 students. The sample was taken by using total sampling. The research data was taken by using Likert scale questionnaire, the variable (X) was the learning motivation, and the variable (Y) was the student achievement. The analysis of data was done through three steps : (1) Data description, (2) Pre-Analysis testing, (3) and Hypothesis testing. Based on the data analysis, it was assumed that correlative coefficient was (r=0,447)on the probability 0,003 < than Alpha significant 0,05. The result on students motivation was 77,21%. The hypothesis of this research was accepted with 19,9% of the contribution of student learning motivation on student achievement Gambar Bangunan subject at SMK Negeri Solok.
