Conceptual Idea, publishes articles conceptually relevant to advancing the practice of music and learning, present theories of music, models, or philosophical position, etc. Articles may draw upon theory/or material developed in educational practice that recognize and address a wide range of pedagogical approach that would interest members from a variety of countries and teaching setting, including activities and art materials to help internationalize art curricula.

Abstract

Abstrak Pembelajaran bernyanyi unisono di SMP Nasima telah menerapkan inovasi metode pembelajaran solatmingkom sejak tahun 2014. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan inovasi metode pembelajaran solatmingkom dalam pembelajaran bernyanyi unisono di SMP Nasima Semarang. Penelitian ini menggunakkan metode kualitatif. Lokasi penelitian di SMP Nasima Semarang. Sasaran kajian dalam penelitian inovasi pembelajaran bernyanyi unisono dengan metode solatmingkom di SMP Nasima Semarang. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumen. Teknik keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi data. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis data model interaktif meliputi mengumpulkan data, reduksi data, menyajikan data dan membuat kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru menerapkan inovasi dalam pembelajaran bernyanyi unisono dengan menggunakkan metode solatmingkom. Metode solatmingkom yaitu gabungan treatmen solfegio, latihan alam, haming, dan kompetisi. Solfegio merupakan treatmen dalam melatih vokal siswa, yaitu dengan membaca notasi dan juga melatih ear training. Latihan alam yaitu treatmen untuk melatih power siswa supaya intensitas suara siswa menjadi maksimal dengan cara berteriak-teriak di luar kelas. Kemudian treatmen haming digunakkan untuk melatih siswa untuk bernyanyi nada-nada tinggi dengan cara bernyanyi dengan mulut tertutup tetapi rongga mulut terbuka. Kompetisi sebagai treatmen terakhir digunakkan untuk melatih siswa dalam berlomba-lomba menampilkan penampilan yang terbaik

Abstract

Based on data analysis can be concluded that the implementation of learning the art of music in class VII A MTs Negeri 1 Semarang using the approach of constructivism run organized, this is evidenced by learning already using model arrests have three stages are (a) presentation of advance organizer, educator provides an overview of the terms of supporting about music (b) the presentation of the material or the learning task, create discussion among students and evaluated by educators and (c) strengthen the cognitive organization, frequently asked questions and a deepening of the material. Learning implemented within 2x45 minutes with the distribution phase advance organizer presentation lasted 15 minutes, the stage presentation of the material or the learning task carried out within 60 minutes, and the stage of cognitive organization strengthen lasted 15 minutes. Suggestions can author to convey, among others: (1) educators should be able to take advantage of instructional media such as musical instruments and projectors which is owned schools maximally.

Abstract

The existence of Al-Madais' terbangan music group in Pladen Village cannot be separated from the motivation of its members to preserve the terbangan music as a means of da'wah and worship. Despite the limited time, facilities, and infrastructure as well as knowledge and skills, the group still strives to preserve Islamic culture amid the fast growth of the modern era. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to describe the existence of Al-Madais' terbangan music arts. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. Meanwhile, the data analysis technique was carried out by reducing, presenting, and verifying data. The results of the study indicate that the existence of the Al-Madais terbangan music group, in terms of the adopted strategy, one of which is good management. Then in terms of consistency, it is carried out with the existence of an organizational structure, regeneration process, and mundane rehearsal. The innovation is carried out by imagination and creativity without leaving its cohesiveness and characteristics. The acknowledgment of the Al-Madais existence is proved by performing at various events and support from the government.

Abstract

Purwacaraka Purwokerto Music School is able to give birth to talented classical piano students so they can win various championships. From the observations, this is influenced by the use of the faber method in learning. This study aims to describe learning methods faber at Purwacaraka Purwokerto Music School. The research approach applied in this study is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques are carried out by observation, interview and document study. The results of this study indicate that the use of the faber method in classical piano learning in Purwacaraka Purwokerto Music School is only used at the beginner level (Grade Preparatory) and is an excellent method for learning at the beginner level because it uses books specifically designed for beginners with many bring up colorful images that make students imagine, so students understand learning material in their own way. The advantages of the faber method are that students get a strong foundation in reading beam notation, dynamics games and articulation in a score of songs played and this method is a very good method used as a basis for learning piano because it has material and theory that is emphasized to provide basic reference piano playing with piano playing techniques.

Abstract

Abstrak Jenis musik saat ini sangatlah banyak dengan berbagai ciri khasnya. Di Bandung salah satu musik yang digemari remaja adalah musik ska atau Jamaican sound. Musik ini digemari oleh remaja karena iramanya yang asik untuk joget. Ada seorang musisi ska bernama Sir’iyai yang berupaya untuk memberikan varian baru pada musik Jamaican sound dengan memasukkan unsur musik keroncong agar musik keroncong dapat dinikmati oleh semua kalangan khususnya remaja. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan bagaimana inovasi musik ska keroncong dalam melestarikan musik keroncong di Bandung. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data yaitu observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi serta teknik pemeriksaan keabsahan data diperiksa dengan metode triangulasi data. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunkan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Sir’iyai melakukan sebuah inovasi dengan memasukkan unsur musik keroncong ke dalam musik Jamaica khususnya musik ska. Alat musik yang digunakan meliputi alat musik band, brass section dan alat musik keroncong. pembawaan dari masing-masing alat musik tersebut menghasilkan sebuah genre musik baru dengan warna dan pola irama yang baru. Dengan inovasi tersebut, terbukti banyak remaja yang tertarik dan menikmati musik tersebut. Dengan demikian, musik keroncong tetap lestari dan lebih dikenal oleh remaja melalui musik ska atau Jamaican sound.

SARI Mumtazah, Gita. 2019. “Perkembang Bentuk dan Fungsi Seni Pertunjukan Balo-balo dalam Upacara Mantu Poci di Desa Muarareja Kecamatan Tegal Barat Kabupaten Tegal”. Skripsi. Program Studi Seni Drama Tari dan Musik. Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni. Universitas Negeri Semarang. Pembimbing : Dr.Widodo, S.Sn., M.Sn Kata Kunci : Perkembangan bentuk pertunjukan, seni balo-balo, mantu poci Balo-balo merupakan suatu jenis musik ritmis yang tumbuh dan berkembang di Kabupaten Tegal khususnya di Desa Muarareja Kecamatan Tegal Barat dan dulunya digunakan dalam Mantu poci. Latar belakang penulis mengambil tema musik tradisi Balo-balo dan fungsinya dalam upacara mantu poci sebagai kajian dalam penelitian ini. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui perkembangan bentuk musik pertunjukan Balo-Balo dalam upacara mantu poci di Desa Muarareja Kecamatan Tegal Barat Kabupaten Tegal dan fungsi musik tersebut dalam mantu poci. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan etnomusikologi. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi dengan terjun langsung di lapangan melihat kondisi sesungguhnya sebelum melakukan penelitian lebih lanjut, wawancara dengan narasumber bapak Tamhari (pemimpin kelompok seni), bapak wage (anngota kelompok seni), ibu Warsih (ketua penyelenggara mantu poci) dan dokumentasi berupa gambar, catatan kecil serta video. Teknik pemerikasaan keabsahan data dilakukan dengan metode uji kredibilitas, keteralihan, kebergantungan dan kepastian dengan sumber. Analisis data yang dilakukan menggunakan analisis data interaktif, yang dibagi dalam tiga tahap meliputi pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan menarik kesimpulan/verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa perkembangan bentuk musik Balo-balo dulu dan sekarang meliputi : (1) Elemen alat musik yang mengalami penambahan seperti gong dan balungan. (2) Elemen pemain musiknya meliputi : generasi muda, tua dan perbedaan status sosial. (3) Elemen tempat pementasan meliputi : luas arena panggung dan pengaturan formasi pemain. Fungsi musik Balo-balo dalam Mantu poci meliputi : (1) Fungsi hiburan yaitu alat, lagu dan kostum pemain(2) Fungsi pemberian pesan dalam lagu yaitu lirik lagu yang disesuaikan dengan tema yang ada dalam acara Mantu poci tersebut. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, saran yang dapat penulis berikan adalah masyarakat Desa Muarareja mengenalkan musik tradisi Balo-balo pada generasi berikutnya supaya kesenian tersebut tetap eksis dan berkembang. Bagi dinas pariwisata dan kesenian Kota Tegal memperbaharui dan mengganti alat musik tersebut ketingkat yang lebih baik dan modern.

Abstract

Paduan Suara Mahasiswa Teknik (PSMT) is a student choir that was established in 2003 with various achievements they gained all of this time. The aim of this study is to know and to explain the factors that influence the existence of Diponegoro University Engineering Student Choir and their efforts to maintain their existence. This research is using qualitative method with descriptive approach. Data is obtained from interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis techniques used were data collection; data reduction; data display; conclusion and verification. The results showed that the factors that are influencing the existence of Engineering Student Choir of Undip were their activities as well as having facts that were applied through achievements, group programs, group effectiveness, and also the election of new members. Undip Engineering Student Choir’s effort to maintain their existence is by having innovations to strengthen the brand of PSMT Undip by participating in competitions, holding concerts, and regeneration of memberships.

Abstract

Based on the experience of researchers, many as young as teenagers tend to be lazy and bored having to struggle with the subject continuously. Burnout can be seen in adolescence is required to repeat the lessons learned in school. This makes most teenagers often forget about the duties and responsibilities to learn and do the work at night. The formulation of the problem is as follows; (1) How high frequency music listening habits when studying Maths at grade students at PIKA Semarang VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL ?, (2) How high is the frequency of the use of music when studying ?, (3) How high is the result of learning mathematics in grade students PIKA Semarang VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL ?, (4) Is there a relationship habit of listening to music and use while learning to learning outcomes in Mathematics class XI VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL PIKA Semarang? This study assessed using a quantitative approach. Data collection techniques include observation and questionnaire study. Mechanical examination of the validity of data using the reliability test, validity test. Data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis percentage, normality test, homogentias, hypothesis testing. Based on the results of research and discussion, it can be concluded the relationship between music listening preferences and utilization of listening to music while studying the learning outcomes in Mathematics is as follows; (1) The average yield of joy listening to music while studying in class XI VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL PIKA Semarang considered good. (2) The average frequency of utilization of listening to music while studying in class XI VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL PIKA Semarang considered good. (3) There is a significant relationship between A listen to music and use of listening to music while studying the learning outcomes in Mathematics. Based on this conclusion above, the advice can be delivered, among others: (1) Music as a means to increase the concentration in the study, preferably in choosing the type of music must be considered as well as possible, (2) For future studies different of types of music can be studied in increasing concentrations studied, so will the obtained results more valid.

Abstract

Sound Engineer merupakan seseorang yang bertugas untuk menggabungkan suara-suara dalam bentuk audio sound system, posisi Sound Engineer berperan penting dalam pertunjukan musik di era modern ini. Dalam pagelaran musik Keroncong yang di selenggarakan RRI Semarang, sudah menggunakan peralatan pengeras suara berupa audio sound system, peran inilah yang dibebankan terhadap seorang yang berprofesi sebagai sound engineer. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik pemeriksaan data menggunakan triangulasi. Analisis data yang digunakan meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan/verifikasi.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Peran Sound Engineer, peneliti akan mengkaji dengan 4 sisi peran Sound Engineer menurut Biddle dan Thomas, sebagai berikut: (1) pengambil bagian, (2) perilaku, (3) kedudukan, (4) kaitan. Dengan hasil akhir diterima dengan audience.
EKSPRESI MUSIKAL DAN KRITIK SOSIAL PADA LAGU BAHAYA KOMUNIS KARYA JASON RANTI

Abstract

Jason Ranti adalah penyanyi solo indie. Peneliti memilih Jason Ranti untuk diteliti karena memiliki segmentasi pasar yang sesuai dengan isu sosial dan memiliki kemasan lagu yang unik. Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimanakah bentuk ekspresi musikal dan kritik sosial yang terdapat pada lagu Bahaya Komunis karya Jason Ranti? Landasan teori yang digunakan berisi tentang ekspresi dari Jamalus, serta kritik dari Narwoko dan Suyanto. Peneletian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan analisis interaktif model air, yaitu Reduksi data, Sajian data, dan Penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ekspresi musikal lagu Bahaya Komunis memperhatikan dinamika, tempo, dan gaya. Kritik sosial yang terdapat pada lagu Bahaya Komunis dapat diklasifikasikan menjadi perspektif sosiologis, perspektif psikologis, dan perspektif konflik. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa lagu Bahaya Komunis sudah memperhatikan ekspresi musikal dan terdapat kritik sosial didalam liriknya, namun berpotensi menimbulkan ambiguitas makna lirik. Berdasarkan simpulan, disarankan Jason Ranti mempertahankan ekspresi musikal dan menyertakan sinopsis lagu Bahaya Komunis pada setiap penyajian lagu. Jason Ranti is an indie soloist. Researchers chose Jason Ranti to be investigated because it has a market segmentation that is in line with social issues and has a unique song packaging. The problem in this research is what is the form of musical expression and social criticism contained in the song Harm Communist by Jason Ranti? The theoretical basis used contains the expression of Jamalus, as well as criticism from Narwoko and Suyanto. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis uses interactive analysis of water models, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the musical expression of the Communist Dangerous song paid attention to dynamics, tempo, and style. The social criticisms contained in the song Communist Danger can be classified into sociological perspectives, psychological perspectives, and conflict perspectives. It can be concluded that the song Bahaya Communist has paid attention to musical expressions and there is social criticism in the lyrics, but has the potential to cause ambiguity in the meaning of the lyrics. Based on the conclusions, it is recommended that Jason Ranti maintain musical expression and include a synopsis of the song Harm Communist in each song presentation.
