Abstract

Coal oil mixture (COM) is one of the methods of making liquid coal fuel in addition to liquefaction and coal water fuel. Coal oil mixture (COM) is a mixed fuel with a balanced composition between coal, petroleum, and additives (Maeda, 1991: 66).In this study, the coal used is low rank coal mixed with additives and diesel. The ratio of coal: diesel: the additives used are 25%: 75%: 0% (COM A1), 25%: 74%: 1%, (COM A2) and 25%: 73%: 2% (COM A3).The results showed that the viscosity characteristics tested on COM A1, A2, A3 were closer to MDO than HFO as standard ISO 8217 2010 MDO (Marine Diesel Oil) viscosity with maximum limit of 11 cSt at 400c temperature. The calorific value of COM A1, A2, A3 is lower than MDO due to the utilization of low calorie coal in the mixture.

Abstract

One of the mining activities at PT. Kaltim Prima Coal is overburden materials dumping activities in an area until attain a final condition (final dump). Final dump areas must have a drainage system design to regulate runoff water in the area so it does not enter the front and disrupting mining activities. In October 2018, at the Pinang South Department of Jupiter Pit PT. Kaltim Prima Coal will be opened the Palapa dumping area with an area of 101,29 ha from the elevation of 40-160 mdpl and is expected to be final in the end of 2020. The maximum daily rainfall value from 5-years rainfall data (2013-2017) for the return period 25 years is 112,917 mm/day. In the final disposal area, Palapa was made into 3 open trapezoidal channels with dimensions of 2 m channel base widths and 1 m channel depths. Determination of water flow classification is calculated using the froude number indicator. The calculation results show a very critical flow (f>1) on all channel segments so reinforcement is needed by using the tire drop structure from the Komatsu HD 785 dumptruck and CAT HD 785 used tires. Runoff from the disposal area then streamed by using open channels by utilizing gravity to Angsoka settling pond. Open channel is trapezoidal shape with 2 m channel widths and 2 m channel depths. Keywords:  Final dump, rainfall, open channel, froude number, tyre drop structure

Abstract

Abstract. PT. Nusa Alam Lestari is one of the mining companies engaged in coal mining located in the Village of Salak, Talawi District, Sawahlunto City, West Sumatra. Mining activities carried out by PT. Nusa Alam Lestari was initially carried out with open pit mines and underground mines. However, since 2011 no open pit mining has been carried out due to the lack of economic coal mining (higher SR). So that currently mining is only done with underground mining. With the room and pillar mining method. PT. Nusa Alam Lestari has several seam coal reserves including the C1 seam, which ended its mining period in December 2017, because of that, it was followed by seam mining C2. As for the ventilation system used is the suction system (exhaus system) with the arrangement of blower relay. Installation of the suction blower system is followed by the installation of blowers, so that dirty air is immediately circulated out. Dirty air resulting from mining activities from one suction hole comes out through the ventilation hole and then changes with clean air entering through the other hole. The total air requirement for mining activities in C2 A seam is 686.6264 m3 / s, and in C2 B seam is 686.6264 m3 / s. . The number of blowers used to support 13 panels will be carried out development and 53 crosscut, then ventilation control is required by installing 13 auxiliary blowers on each panel with a diameter of 20 "(37 KW), and to release dirty air out, 6 main Suction blower fans will be installed 32 "(75 KW) in diameter.Modeling of the ventilation system using Ventsim visual 3 and producing a 3D ventilation system modelKeywords: Undergraound mines, Ventilation, Blower, Exhaus System, Modeling.

Abstract

Abstract. PT Trimegah Perkasa Utama is a granite manufacturer in Indonesia. Granite is processedusing a crushing plant. Based on split stone production data at PT Trimegah Perkasa Utama in July2018, the company's granite stone production target of 180,000 tons / month was not achieved. Whilethe actual production obtained was 141,114 tons / month or 87.51% of the production target. This isdue to the many disruptions to repair and standby times during the processing of granite stones anddamage to the jaw crusher, so that from these disturbances the effective working time is reduced. Theresults obtained after repairing are reduction in repair time and standby time so that the primarycrusher's effective working time becomes 219.53 hours, 38.85% work efficiency and secondary andtertiary crusher's effective working time to 311.58 hours, work efficiency 53.72%. The value of crushingplant unit availability will also increase. Primary crusher unit production increased to 162,000 tons /month after increasing effective working time. Production of secondary and tertiary crusher units canbe increased by setting the gyratory crusher closed side setting to 71 mm and the cone crusher to 23mm.Keywords: Crushing Plant, Granite, Jaw Crusher, Production, Repair Time

Abstract

The excavation of a tunnel in rock mass resulting a change in the balance of rock conditions such as the occurrence of rock collapse and changes in the dimensions of tunnel at the tail gate THC-02 as a result of the displacement of the voltage distribution. It is desirable to have a good geotechnical analysis to provide an appropriate treatment of rocks excavated. This research was conducted to determine rock mass class, rock strength, and stability of open aperture based on potential of wedge collapse by estimating value of Safety Factor (FK) of openings and recommendation of ground support at tail gate hole THC-02 branch C-6.Classification of rocks mass with RMR system and FK potential of wedge using unwadge software. From the measurement of several parameters of RMR method, the average RMR value of 45,3 is obtained whereas rock mass class III (fair rock). From RMR value also obtained the maximum span value of tunnel is 3 m with collapse time 90 hours and collapsed load value 3.705 kg/ m2. The kinematic potential of wedge at the tail gate THC-02 branch C-6 in three general direction joint set with strike/ dip value: N1740E / 790, N1410E / 260, N1600E / 590 where FK value is 9,525 and the wedge stable.Based on the data it can be recommended as follows: if using rock bolt required rock bolt (20 mm diameter, fully grouted) with length 4 m spacing between 1,5-2,0 m bolt on the wall and roof and added wiremesh mounted systematically, 50-100 mm thick shotcrete installation on the roof and 30 mm on the wall, if wooden support required wood 20 cm diameter, length 2 m, grade III (360 kg / cm2) and spacing 1,5 m.

Abstract

Abstract. PT. Allied Indo Coal is a public company that conducts coal mining activities with the type of company PKP2B (Coal Mining Concession Agreement) under contract No. J2 / Ji.Du / 25/1985 on August 21, 1985. The mining contract period is 32 years with an area of 372.40 Ha.Reclamation with revegetation activities will be carried out in some part of the stockpile area, stockpile area to be reclaimed consists of 3 blocks, block 1 has an area about 0.83 ha, the block 2 about 1.46 ha and block III about 2.91 Ha. The total area to be revegetated in the reclamation activity about 5.2 ha. Because of PT.Allied Indo Coal has a license from forestry department (IUP) to exploit a forest area a so the company has an obligation to pay the land compensation, includes PNBP fees (Non-tax State Revenues). This stockpile is one of the areas subject to the PNBP (Non-tax State Revenue) with a tariff of Rp. 3,900,000 / ha every month. So that this activity aims to reduce the burden of PNBP (Non-tax State Revenues) to the company tax.Reclamation activities include land management activities. The land is recovered with overburden at the bottom and then the upper layercovered with top soil as a growing medium for plants. After the land arrangement is complete, the cover crop will be planted. Furthermore, the revegetation process starts from irrigation, digging planting holes, planting, and maintenance.Based on calculations in reclamation planning with revegetation, the direct costs for revegetation reclamation activities in Stockpile at PT. Allied Indo Coal is IDR 804,921,900.00. and indirect costs are IDR 173,101,842.00. Then the total cost of reclamation and revegetation at that location is IDR978,023,742.00.Keywords: Stockpile, PNBP, Reclamation Plan, Revegetation, Cost.
