Abstract

Coffee is a widely consumed beverage across all demographic groups, and coffee shops represent a vital downstream component of the agribusiness subsystem, particularly in the marketing of plantation products in ready-to-serve or ready-to-eat formats within the food and beverage industry. This study aims to analyze the selection preferences of Generation Z consumers in choosing coffee shops in the city of Banjarmasin. Utilizing conjoint analysis, the research identifies the relative importance of various attributes influencing consumer decision-making. The most influential factor is Sales Product, with an interest level of 23.003, followed by price (21.839), facilities (20.774), building concept (14.532), trademark (10.389), and location (9.462). These findings suggest that Generation Z places higher value on product offerings and affordability when selecting coffee shops, while branding and location play lesser roles. This information provides strategic insights for coffee shop entrepreneurs targeting this consumer segment in urban Indonesia.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of price and product quality on consumer purchasing decisions for local rice, utilizing a case study approach and multiple linear regression analysis. The objectives are to determine (1) the partial impact of price and product quality, (2) the extent of their individual influence, and (3) the combined effect of these variables. The findings reveal that both price and product quality significantly and positively affect consumers’ decision-making, both when evaluated independently and jointly. The coefficient of determination (R²) is 0.375, indicating that 37.5% of the variation in consumer decisions can be explained by the combined influence of price and product quality. This highlights the relevance of economic and qualitative factors in shaping consumer behavior, suggesting that improvements in either attribute could enhance market competitiveness for local rice. Overall, the results emphasize the strategic importance of understanding and leveraging pricing and product standards in agricultural marketing efforts.

Abstract

In this work, we study and compare two methods for passing from a dual basis to the basis of a finite-dimensional vector space by recalling the passage from a basis to its dual. For the inverse transition, we clarify the kernel method for linear forms and the matrix inversion method, the former exploiting the properties of linear forms and orthogonality, while the latter relies on the explicit inversion of transition matrices, with remarks for each approach depending on the context of application. The study shows that, although matrix inversion is a more direct method, the kernel method can offer a more elegant and efficient alternative in certain cases, especially when the vector space has particular structures.

Abstract

This study investigates the technical and economic aspects of Plant Growth-Promoting Rhizobacteria (PGPR) production at CV. Banua Sejahtera Lestari in Danau Karya Village. Using a case study approach, the analysis covers production methods, cost structure, profitability, and operational challenges. PGPR production follows strict Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), utilizing laboratory-grade equipment in hygienic conditions under supervision by qualified personnel. Each cycle spans 15 days and is repeated twice monthly, yielding 200 liters per cycle. The production cost per cycle is IDR 2,600,000, while revenue reaches IDR 4,000,000, resulting in a net profit of IDR 1,400,000. The Return Cost Ratio (RCR) of 1.53 indicates economic feasibility and a favorable return on investment. Challenges include maintaining consistent product quality and managing production risks. Overall, PGPR production at CV. Banua Sejahtera Lestari demonstrates strong potential for sustainable agribusiness development in Barito Kuala Regency.

Abstract

This study evaluates the financial performance of Ciherang rice farming using certified and non-certified seeds in Ulu Benteng, Marabahan Subdistrict. Cultivation follows standard agronomic practices such as seedbed preparation, planting (tegel system), fertilization, and harvesting. Certified seed farming incurs explicit and implicit costs of IDR 4,924,024 and IDR 4,221,471 respectively, yielding revenue of IDR 15,026,477, with income of IDR 10,102,465 and profit of IDR 5,880,976. In contrast, non-certified seed farming incurs slightly lower costs (IDR 4,567,240 and IDR 4,098,846), but generates lower revenue (IDR 12,577,846), income (IDR 7,748,308), and profit (IDR 3,911,760). The profit gap of IDR 1,969,216 confirms that certified seeds deliver better financial outcomes, supporting their use to enhance farm profitability and sustainability.

Abstract

Red betel leaves (Piper crocatum) contain flavonoids, alkaloids, polyphenols, tannins, and which is known for its antidepressant properties. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of antidepressant activity of ethanol extract of red betel leaves on male white mice (Mus musculus) orally. The method used in testing antidepressants is the Forced Swim Test. Fifteen mice were divided into five groups: a positive control group receiving 3.5 mg/kg BW amitriptyline, a negative control group, and three groups receiving 200, 400, and 800 mg/kg BW of the extract. The antidepressant effect was measured by observing the immobility of mice during swimming. The results of the study using paired sample t-Test analysis showed that there was a difference in immobility before and after, in the 400 mg/kg BW extract and 3.5 mg/kg BW amitriptyline dose groups had significant differences.
