Abstract

The rapid growth of e-commerce in Indonesia has positioned food, beverages, and groceries as the most frequently purchased product categories, accounting for 43.92% of online sales in 2023. Despite offering convenience, online food shopping carries inherent risks due to product perishability and the inability of consumers to directly assess product quality prior to payment. This study investigates the influence of online customer reviews and ratings on food purchasing decisions at Sayur Dapur Devita’s Shopee marketplace in Malang. Employing a quantitative approach, data were collected from 100 purposively selected respondents using the Cochran formula. Descriptive statistics and SEM-PLS analysis with SmartPLS 4.0 were applied. Findings reveal that most consumers are female, aged 13–28 years, students with bachelor/diploma degrees, earning IDR 1,000,000 – 2,000,000, and frequently purchasing vegetables and fruits. The analysis confirms that reviews and ratings significantly and positively affect purchasing decisions. Practical implications suggest encouraging consumer feedback, promptly responding to reviews, and diversifying product offerings.

Abstract

This study analyzes the value addition of soybean processing into tempe in Guntung Paikat, South Banjarbaru District, Banjarbaru City, using a case study of Mr. Suparji’s enterprise. The objective of the research was to determine output value, input value, labor utilization (measured in workdays), and to identify challenges encountered in tempe production related to value addition. A quantitative method with a case study approach was employed, conducted from March to June 2025, involving two respondents: the owner and his son as a worker. Data were analyzed descriptively, and value addition was calculated using the Hayami method. Results show that tempe production was carried out through simple processes including sorting, washing, soaking, peeling, boiling, inoculation with yeast, wrapping, and fermentation. The value addition, defined as the difference between output value, other input contributions, and input costs, was IDR 20,133 per kilogram, with a ratio of 71.90%. This high ratio indicates strong economic feasibility, as it exceeds the 40% threshold.

Abstract

Rising public awareness of health has encouraged lifestyle changes aimed at preventing Non‑Communicable Diseases (NCDs), particularly obesity. Dietary adjustments have increased demand for healthy food and catering services such as Dietindo Catering. However, fluctuating sales of one of its flagship meal box products suggest that consumers do not fully recognize the urgency of healthy eating. This study examines the influence of attitude, subjective norms, perceived behavioral control, and health consciousness on purchase intention toward healthy food products, applying the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB). A quantitative approach was employed using descriptive statistics and Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM‑PLS) with 100 respondents. Data were collected through online questionnaires, interviews, and secondary sources. Results show that 60% of respondents had never purchased, with most being young female students. SEM‑PLS analysis revealed that attitude, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control significantly affected purchase intention, while health consciousness was positive but not significant.

Abstract

This study was conducted over one year of production in 2024 to evaluate the feasibility of a layer chicken farming enterprise. The research employed a survey method with a case study approach, supported by descriptive and financial analyses. The financial assessment utilized the Revenue-Cost (R/C) Ratio to determine total costs, revenues, profits, and overall business viability. Results revealed that the enterprise incurred a total annual cost of IDR. 193,466,071, while generating revenues of IDR. 225,900,000. Consequently, the net profit amounted to IDR. 32,433,929 per year. The calculated R/C Ratio was 1.16, exceeding the threshold of 1.0, which indicates that the business is financially feasible and profitable. These findings suggest that the enterprise can be sustained and potentially expanded, as the profitability ratio demonstrates economic viability. The study contributes to the understanding of financial performance in layer chicken farming and provides a reference for similar agribusiness ventures.

Abstract

Student reading interest in Indonesia remains relatively low, which impacts the utilization of library resources. One contributing factor is limited access to fast and easy information, making students reluctant to seek references beyond academic requirements. This study aims to develop a library chatbot using the Template Matching method integrated with ChatGPT artificial intelligence. The chatbot is designed to deliver interactive, quick, and relevant information services. System development followed the Waterfall method, while evaluation employed black-box testing and a Likert scale survey to measure user satisfaction. Results showed an average score of 83.12%, categorized as “Strongly Agree.” These findings indicate that the chatbot effectively facilitates access to library information and enhances user satisfaction. Moreover, it has the potential to increase student engagement with library services and contribute positively to improving reading interest. Future research should explore broader applications and long-term impacts of chatbot-based information systems.

Abstract

The ethanolic leaf extract of Pellacalyx fimbripetalus (locally Tabuluh) was analyzed by Liquid Chromatography–Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS) to profile its bioactive constituents. Seventeen compounds were putatively identified, including tropane-type alkaloids, phenolic acids, flavonoids, glycosides, and fatty acids. Notably, orientin (a flavonoid C-glycoside) and chlorogenic acid derivatives were detected, which are known for antidiabetic and antioxidant activities. Several unusual compounds (e.g., a phenolic alkaloid and an iridoid-like glycoside) were present, potentially representing novel or understudied constituents. Traditional usage of P. fimbripetalus leaves in Bornean ethnomedicine for ailments such as cancer is supported by the discovery of diverse phytochemicals. This first LC-MS profiling of P. fimbripetalus leaf extract provides a basis for further pharmacological evaluation, especially for antidiabetic potential.

Abstract

The use of organic waste such as water hyacinth, cassava peel, and coconut shells can produce high-quality and environmentally friendly biochar briquettes. The manufacturing process includes drying, carbonization, sieving, mixing with tapioca flour as a binder, molding, and final drying. Five variations in composition were systematically tested using a completely randomized design (CRD) method, so that each treatment had the same opportunity and the results were more accurate. The analysis was based on five main chemical parameters: moisture content, ash content, fixed carbon, calorific value, and combustion rate in accordance with the SNI 01-6235-2000 standard. All samples showed acceptable quality, with P1 recording the highest calorific value (6388.21 cal/g), lowest moisture content (5.7%), and most efficient combustion rate (0.095 g/minute). Meanwhile, P2 excelled in having the highest bound carbon content (96.5%), which contributed to a stable and long-lasting flame.

Abstract

In this study, we constructed four examples of light-like hypersurfaces that satisfy the conditions of an Osserman manifold, based on the characterisation of light-like hypersurfaces of a pseudo-Riemannian manifold of dimension m+2. To this end, we relied on several theoretical results and propositions, particularly those of DUGAL and BEJANCU, in order to establish the conditions under which a light-like hypersurface  of a pseudo-Riemannian manifold , can be characterized as an Osserman manifold. This characterization is achieved either through the admissible screen distribution  or through the induced algebraic curvature structure. Accordingly, we presented several examples of lightlike hypersurfaces in a semi-Riemannian setting that satisfy the Osserman condition by verifying the required properties of both the Jacobi operator and the induced algebraic curvature.
