Abstract

Science and technology have advanced significantly, leading to an increased reliance on digital information and technology in nearly all aspects of human activity and work, including the micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) sector. This study aims to support an MSME, namely Haji Umar Store, in preparing for growing market demands and enhancing its marketing capabilities through the development of a website-based Sales Information System integrated with a Product Recommendation Feature. The research employs a Research and Development (R&D) approach to create a website as the primary product. To implement the Product Recommendation Feature, the study utilizes market basket analysis, a method used to examine consumer purchasing patterns. This analysis is carried out using the Apriori algorithm. The results indicate the identification of 45 valid product combinations that can be utilized in the recommendation feature, providing suggestions when consumers purchase related items.

Abstract

This study addresses the limited recognition of earthworm farming and the lack of detailed financial record-keeping and feasibility analysis within the business. The research aims to evaluate the revenue and income of CV RAJ Organik and assess the financial feasibility of its earthworm agribusiness. Conducted in Sukun District, Malang City, from February to April 2024, the study involved the business owner and financial manager, who provided insights into the company’s financial operations. The analysis employed includes revenue and income evaluation, followed by a financial feasibility assessment using Net B/C, NPV, IRR, and PP criteria. The results indicate that earthworm farming is profitable, with the financial analysis confirming the business's viability. The study recommends that the company maintain its financial management practices, as they meet the necessary feasibility criteria, ensuring the long-term sustainability and success of the agribusiness.

Abstract

Erratic weather, such as intense heat followed by heavy rain, is causing air pollution in the sky of Jakarta. According to the SNI 03-6389-2011, which deals with energy conservation in building envelopes, the overall thermal transfer value (OTTV) for walls should not exceed 35 W/m2. This study aims to analyze OTTV in Class T and Class S. Class S uses clear glass, while Class T has a shading device in the form of a sunglass sticker. The method used involves calculating the total outer wall area, glass area, window-to-wall ratio (WWR), solar factor value, and then obtaining the OTTV. The results of the study show that the WWR value for Class T was 0.5, while for Class S it was 0.4. The OTTV value in Class T is 58.74 W/m2, whereas the OTTV in Class S is 70.64 W/m2. Despite both classrooms not meeting the SNI requirements, the classrooms using shading devices have OTTV values closer to the SNI standard.

Abstract

Pumpkin (Cucurbita moschata Duch) is a food rich in vitamin A, vitamin C, minerals, carbohydrates, and flavonoid compounds. Flavonoids have several pharmacological activities, including as antioxidants to ward off free radicals. This study aims to determine the total flavonoid content and antioxidant activity of pumpkin fruit. The extraction of pumpkin fruit was done by the maceration method in a 70% ethanol solvent. The total flavonoid test used the colorimetric method with a 10% AlCl3 reagent and quercetin as a positive control. Antioxidant activity was tested using the DPPH (1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl) method. The results obtained for the total flavonoid content of the ethanol extract of pumpkin fruit amounted to 1.741 mgQE/g ± 0.2438 and an IC50 value of 379.44 ppm, including the category of weak antioxidant, compared with the positive control.

Abstract

Dicranopteris linearis (rasam fern) is known to contain flavonoid compounds that exhibit significant antioxidant activity. In this study, the antioxidant potential of rasam fern leaf extract was assessed using the DPPH assay at three different concentrations: 30 ppm (P1), 40 ppm (P2), and 50 ppm (P3). Phytochemical screening confirmed the presence of flavonoids, tannins, and saponins in the extract. The IC50 values obtained for each treatment were as follows: P1 = 8.37 ppm, P2 = 12.31 ppm, and P3 = 13.57 ppm, all of which fall within the category of very strong antioxidant activity. Statistical analysis using one-way ANOVA revealed a significant difference in IC50 values among the three DPPH concentrations. These results indicate that variations in DPPH concentration significantly influence the IC50 values, thereby affecting the accuracy and interpretation of antioxidant activity measurements.

Abstract

At the Sari Mukti Landfill, the reduction in the volume of waste entering the final processing is achieved through landfill management, composting, and sorting. The sorting that has been carried out so far is done by scavengers. Based on data and studies conducted at the landfill, it was concluded that the sorting efficiency, on average, between January and February is 0.81%. This efficiency of 0.81% was obtained from sorting in 5% of zones B and C, with a total of 385 scavengers. If we apply the same efficiency to 100% of the area, the number of scavengers required would be 7,700. However, the results of the study do not recommend increasing the number of scavengers. Instead, it is recommended to sort waste at the source. With the sorting mechanisms outlined in the discussion, it is hoped that only a small portion of organic waste will enter the landfill.

Abstract

The rapid growth of e-commerce in Indonesia has positioned food, beverages, and groceries as the most frequently purchased product categories, accounting for 43.92% of online sales in 2023. Despite offering convenience, online food shopping carries inherent risks due to product perishability and the inability of consumers to directly assess product quality prior to payment. This study investigates the influence of online customer reviews and ratings on food purchasing decisions at Sayur Dapur Devita’s Shopee marketplace in Malang. Employing a quantitative approach, data were collected from 100 purposively selected respondents using the Cochran formula. Descriptive statistics and SEM-PLS analysis with SmartPLS 4.0 were applied. Findings reveal that most consumers are female, aged 13–28 years, students with bachelor/diploma degrees, earning IDR 1,000,000 – 2,000,000, and frequently purchasing vegetables and fruits. The analysis confirms that reviews and ratings significantly and positively affect purchasing decisions. Practical implications suggest encouraging consumer feedback, promptly responding to reviews, and diversifying product offerings.

Abstract

This study analyzes the value addition of soybean processing into tempe in Guntung Paikat, South Banjarbaru District, Banjarbaru City, using a case study of Mr. Suparji’s enterprise. The objective of the research was to determine output value, input value, labor utilization (measured in workdays), and to identify challenges encountered in tempe production related to value addition. A quantitative method with a case study approach was employed, conducted from March to June 2025, involving two respondents: the owner and his son as a worker. Data were analyzed descriptively, and value addition was calculated using the Hayami method. Results show that tempe production was carried out through simple processes including sorting, washing, soaking, peeling, boiling, inoculation with yeast, wrapping, and fermentation. The value addition, defined as the difference between output value, other input contributions, and input costs, was IDR 20,133 per kilogram, with a ratio of 71.90%. This high ratio indicates strong economic feasibility, as it exceeds the 40% threshold.
