Abstract

Discus ornamental fish have become a popular hobby among ornamental fish fans. However, to maintain optimal conditions for Discus fish, proper maintenance and careful monitoring are necessary. Therefore, in order to be able to keep discus fish easily, a detection system that utilizes Internet of Things-based technology is needed to ensure fish welfare and water quality. This system uses temperature, pH, Ultrasonic sensors to measure and monitor water conditions. In this research the author developed a smart aquarium for ornamental discus fish based on the Internet of Things with a data transmission mode via a wireless network or (wifi) and integrated with a mobile application platform. With real-time monitoring, it is hoped that we can monitor and maintain aquarium conditions more effectively, reduce the risk of stress in fish, and increase the chances of success in keeping Discus fish. Based on the results of the tests carried out, the system can provide feed and water changes automatically based on the time the user has set in the mobile application. Sensor reading results in the form of temperature, PH and water level values can be monitored easily on the 20x4 LCD and mobile applications in real time.

Abstract

Abstract

As people become more dependent on information technology, the need for Internet availability increases. Various types of devices are connected to the network, increasing the convenience of using information technology. However, this convenience can often be disrupted by attacks on the network infrastructure, one of which is a DHCP Starvation attack. The Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) is a client-server-based protocol used to automatically assign or obtain IP addresses for client computers or other network devices. Mitigating DHCP Starvation attacks is one form of protection for users. The impact of this attack is that the attacker can become one of the hosts on the network and perform a man-in-the-middle attack, so the impact of information leakage can occur. In addition, it is necessary to know the impact on router resources when a DHCP Starvation attack occurs, so that network managers can calculate how much resources are needed. The author uses a Filtering method based on Mac address es, ARP, and alerts on the Mikrotik router. In addition, the PPDIOO method is also used to develop this system, which consists of preparation, planning, design, Implementation, operation, and optimization. The test results showed that the application of this Filtering method proved to be very effective in preventing DHCP Starvation attacks, and the router board resources were not significantly affected when this Filtering method was applied.

Abstract

Food, a basic human need, is crucial for survival. Food shortages signal vulnerability to food security in a country. This affects the welfare of the people and the economy of a country. This research explores the challenges of food security in Indonesia, where unequal distribution creates access gaps and affects food management. It presents visualizations highlighting aspects of food security, including limited access in vulnerable areas, and emphasizes the need for government intervention to prevent food crises and stunting. The study underscores the importance of optimizing food utilization through education and community empowerment to drive economic growth. In addition, with Indonesia's high population growth, ensuring sustainable food availability is crucial. The visualization takes the National Food Agency dataset, which includes the scores of each province based on aspects of food security. The data is processed and presented using Tableau, representing various visuals such as bar charts, maps, trend lines, and several other visuals made into a dashboard. The results show that food security in each region, especially vulnerable areas, shows good progress. The visualization results can be used as a reference for the government in developing strategies to prevent food crises by considering these aspects in reducing stunting rates and encouraging the economy in Indonesia.

Abstract

Unemployment is one of the main problems faced by many countries, including Indonesia. The Open Unemployment Rate (OER) is an important indicator used to measure the amount of labor force that is not absorbed in the labor market. This research aims to Cluster the provinces in Indonesia based on unemployment rate and school enrollment rate, so as to provide a clearer picture of the distribution of unemployment in different regions: The study identified three main Clusters: Cluster 1: Provinces with high unemployment rates. Cluster 2: Provinces with a medium unemployment rate. Cluster 3: Provinces with low unemployment rates. Distribution: The Clustering results show that 13 provinces are included in Cluster 1, 18 provinces in Cluster 2, and 3 provinces in Cluster 3. This study found that the K-Means algorithm is effective in Clustering provinces based on TPT and school enrollment rates. The Clustering results show significant variation between provinces, with some provinces having higher unemployment rates and lower school enrollment than others. This study successfully Clustered Indonesian provinces based on unemployment and school enrollment rates using the K-Means algorithm. The Clustering results provide valuable insights into the distribution of unemployment in Indonesia and can be used as a basis for more effective policy making.

Abstract

In this study, an analysis of lighting in campus buildings was conducted, specifically for the in the Laboratory of Hotel Operations Department Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (UMN). The main issue identified is visual comfort for occupants in a room, which must comply with the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) 6197-2020. Ensuring proper lighting is crucial for both functionality and occupant comfort, particularly in educational settings where tasks require adequate illumination. The lighting analysis was performed through simulation using Dialux and SketchUp software. The process involved designing a detailed building model based on the room layout, including all relevant architectural and interior features. Once the model was completed, the lighting simulation was executed using Dialux. This simulation entailed determining the optimal position of furniture within the room, selecting appropriate types of luminaires, and strategically placing these luminaires to achieve the desired lighting levels. The results of the simulation indicated that the current lighting levels in the laboratory were below the standards set by the SNI. Specifically, the minimum illumination level required by SNI 6197-2020 for a room functioning as a restaurant kitchen, which is analogous to the that Laboratory, is an average of at least 250 lux. The findings highlight the need for redesigning the lighting system in the laboratory to meet the prescribed standards and ensure adequate visual comfort and functionality for its users.
