Abstract

To obtain a bachelor's degree at a university, students must complete a skripsi (undergraduate thesis). In completing a skripsi, there are many things that must be overcome, such as preparing and submitting the skripsi title to the Head of the Study Program. To provide time efficiency for students, it is necessary to develop an easy-to-use application for submitting a skripsi title online. This research uses a qualitative approach method that focuses on observation.  The model of the system is based on the SDLC Waterfall method which has a structured flow. This designed system model will assist in designing a website-based skripsi title submission system which will help students and lecturers to carry out the process of submitting skripsi titles to the Head of the Study Program for an official decree containing the name of the skripsi supervisors and the acceptance of skripsi title.

Abstract

Moving to the automation era is a big step in human civilization. The use of integrated automation technology with the help of internet connectivity, known as IoT, has helped a lot in human life. The aim of this research is to design a water turbidity measuring device and ornamental fish feeding sensor that can be controlled remotely using the Android-based internet. The research method used is an experimental method by conducting trials (trial error). Each module/sensor is tested one by one so that it can function as planned. Components tested include: Servo motor, ultrasonic sensor, turbidity sensor. Test result at a servo motor opening time is of 350 ms, the weight of the food released is 5.3 grams with an error percentage of 5.6%. When the servo motor is opened at 650 ms, the weight of the feed released is 10.2 grams with an error percentage of 2.4%. When the servo motor is open for 1000 ms, the weight of the food released is 15.2 grams with an error percentage of 1.84%. The ultrasonic sensor has an average error in detecting food residue of 3.01%, and the turbidity sensor detects turbidity by dividing it into 3 types of water, namely clear water, turbid water, and very turbid water. The results of the research are an Android-based water turbidity meter and ornamental fish feed sensor that can ensure fish food intake is adequate, especially when the owner travels far from home.

Abstract

The information and Communication Technology Development Index (IP-ICT) is used to describe the level of ICT Development, the imbalance and development opportunities of a region from the use of ICT.  IP-TIK is composed of 11 indicators, with the calculation conducted by BPS. The analysis is a K-Means Cluster analysis used to group provinces in Indonesia based on the similarity of IP-ICT constituent indicators. Grouping provinces based on IP-TIK indicators will help the government set realistic targets, track and evaluate progress over time to promote development and growth based on the capabilities of each province, so that the government is able to determine the right policies to assist in ICT development in each cluster. The results of this study obtained 4 clusters with different characteristics each. Cluster 1 and Cluster 2 require improvement in IP-TIK development.

Abstract

One option for introducing micro, small, and medium enterprises (UMKM) in West Java is through the use of virtual technology, which can potentially visualize different UMKM products interactively. Previously, the introduction of UMKM products relied solely on print media or social media for advertising. Therefore, Virtual Reality technology can be a solution to integrate information about UMKM in West Java. This research utilizes the MDLC (Multimedia Development Life Cycle) method to optimize the design and implementation process of Virtual Reality technology as an integrated information tool with 3D and other media. The end result of this virtual reality utilization research is a virtual tour simulation on "Introduction to West Java's UMKM," which allows users to interactively view the products that can be produced through the Artsteps application that has been integrated with the development of Virtual Reality technology.

Abstract

Health is a need that must be met for all Indonesian people. A healthy body and mind are needed to support all activities. The Health service activities at Posyandu (Integrated health services post) Aster XI are still conducted manually or written by hand, from the collection to process of the data. This can hinder and cause many problems in the processing, searching and producing reports on Posyandu Aster XI activities. Thus, it is necessary to develop the conventional systems to become computerized. The research method used is Grounded Research, while the system development method used is waterfall. The aim of this research is to design and implement a Java-based information system at Posyandu so that it can help and speed up work in terms of processing data such as storing, changing and searching data to making reports at Posyandu Aster XI. The result of this research is the use of a computerized system, created with the Java programming language and MySQL database, that can help and make cadres process the data at the Posyandu more quickly, precisely and efficiently.

Abstract

In determining alternative decisions for improving its employee performance, PT. Cipta Karya Abadi appraises its employee performance with the help of predetermined criteria limits. To find out the level of quality of employees, work facilities, employee welfare which is a priority in performance improvement strategies so that employees get comfortable and motivated and can reduce feelings of boredom when carrying out work, can be conducted by looking at some of the problems that occur in the company. This research was conducted to find out strategies that can be used to increase employee performance in making a company organization more efficient. Based on the results described in the results and discussion, it can be concluded that the criteria used as a reference in employee performance improvement strategies are additional tasks, management skills, work skills, and communication skills. From the above criteria, several alternatives proposed by the company to improve employee performance. They are HR Quality Improvement, Work Facilities Improvement and Welfare Improvement. The three calculations that have been carried out using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method to determine employee performance improvement strategies show that the first alternative priority is to increase work facilities with a priority value of 0.3448, then the second and third alternatives are to improve the quality of human resources and increase welfare by the same priority value of 0.3276.

Abstract

Many physics concepts are still not explained using mechanical equations, such as Newtonian and Lagrangian, especially in the context of downwardly vertical motion. This research investigates aspects of downwardly vertical motion that may or may not be affected by air friction. To examine this phenomenon, the researchers detail and compare the Newtonian and Lagrangian equations. Apart from that, there is a need for extensive literature studies on classical mechanics, including these theories (Newtonian, Lagrangian, and Hamiltonian). The method used in this study is a mathematical theoretical study by calculating the equation of downwardly vertical motion using partial differential equations from the Lagrangian equation to obtain the equation of downwardly vertical motion which is influenced by air friction. The results of this research reveal three Lagrange equations, namely the equations for acceleration, speed and position in the context of vertical motion which are influenced by air friction.

Abstract

Making population documents such as cover letters, certificates, business permits and other documents is still often done conventionally in services to the community, that is, people have to come directly to the Village Head's office. The required documents are completed within 2 - 3 days from submitting the application, so it is inefficient for residents who live outside the city. Based on these problems, the researcher intends to help overcome the problems that exist at the Ganggeng Village Office to facilitate the administration of population documents such as cover letters, certificates, business permits and other letters to be more effective and efficient. The method used in this research is the waterfall method and base on  Android. The results of this research are the implementation of e-Government in the Village Government in providing document and correspondence creation services, so that it becomes more efficient in serving the community.

Abstract

Product quality control is very important to pay attention to so that a company can continuously compete with other companies, increase its sales value, and get the trust of customers as its most important target. PT JP is an industrial company engaged in manufacturing with packaging products made from polypropylene/Impraboard, Cardboard Box, Polyethylene Foam, Spon Eva, and other packaging need materials. One of the products with a high sales rate is imprabox products. But, during the inspection process, there is a fairly high and diverse defect rate. Therefore, efforts are needed to minimize product defects using the basic seven tool method. This research begins with product inspection using a cheksheet in the QC (Quality Control) department. The inspection is carried out 23 times with a total of 3,256 items and 941 NG products. Furthermore, a flowchart is made to display the manufacturing process starting from marking, cutting, bending or fit up, welding, to finishing. Histogram is used to determine the variation of defects, in this case there are 12 types of defects including printing, EVA coating and NG cover. Pareto diagram is used to determine the dominant defects including in printing at 41.34%, Eva coating at 22.85% and NG cover at 11.265. Ishikawa/fishbone diagram is used to determine the causes of defects including human factors, machine factors, method factors and environmental factors. Scatter diagram is used to express the 77% relationship (correlation) between the variation in the number of defective products and the amount of production. The control diagram is used to analyze the control limits with UCL 40.9 and LCL 0.403.

Abstract

Food technology as a source of human needs must receive a special attention. Various methods in pursuing food preservation technology are carried out in order to have a long shelf life. This study aims to reduce the percentage of weight loss of cayenne pepper through gamma irradiation technology. The research method used in the process of preserving pepper is gamma exposure irradiation at varying doses (1; 1.5; 2; and 2.5 kGy). Based on the research results, it can be concluded that gamma irradiation at doses of 1; 1.5; 2; and 2.5 kGy affected the weight loss of cayenne pepper. The 8th to 10th days of observation showed the highest percentage of weight loss which ranged from 5.58% to 18.71%, from the original (31.69% without gamma irradiation). Intracellularly, this means that there is a disruption of the fungal membrane in cayenne pepper which causes leakage of sugar and protein from damaged cells. In addition, irradiation disrupts the metabolic function of malate dehydrogenase (MDH) and succinate dehydrogenase (SDH) in the tricarboxylic acid cycle (TCA). This study was tested statistically with a single ANOVA, showing that gamma irradiation affected the weight loss of cayenne pepper as proved by the result of Fcrit (6.725) > Ftable (3.8852).
