The increase in injury incidence in Indonesia in 2018 was 9.2% and in Surakarta by 30.8%. One non-pharmacological treatment for early treatment when an ankle sprain occurs is to use the Protect, Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation (PRICE) technique. Objective: To determine the effectiveness of early treatment of ankle injuries with PRICE on the level of knowledge of pencak silat athletes in Surakarta. Method: This research used a quasi-experimental design with one group pretest-posttest. With a total of 31 respondents and a questionnaire from Fajar Robin Pinanditto. The analysis test uses the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. Results: This research shows that the majority of athletes aged 13 years are 9 people (29.0%), 19 people are female (61.3%), and 17 people have junior high school education (54.8%). Initial treatment training for ankle injuries with PRICE is effective on the level of knowledge of pencak silat athletes in Surakarta with Asymp scores. signature. (2-tailed) 0.000. Conclusion: Training on the first treatment of ankle injuries with PRICE is effective on the level of knowledge of pencak silat players in Surakarta.

Abstract

Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS) is a global problem and the largest contributor to mortality in the world. The risk of death from ACS increases significantly with aging and delayed management. Complication of ACS that can cause death is Ventricular Septum Rupture (VSR). One of the nursing approaches is the Myra E Levine energy conservation approach which aims to increase the patient's energy conservation. The purpose of this case study is to analyze using Levine's conservation theory on Mrs. MM with a medical diagnosis of ST Elevation Miocard Infact (STEMI) in a comprehensive intensive room. The case study writing method uses a single case design method. The results of the application of case studies with this energy conservation approach obtained tripocognsosis of conservation integrity including decreased cardiac output, impaired gas exchange, risk of infection, impaired electrolyte balance, instability of blood glucose levels and impaired spontaneous ventilation, while for energy conservation integrity is pain and decreased activity tolerance. Interventions focused on acute cardiac care and respiration monitoring. The results of this case study analyzed the nursing diagnosis obtained from the patient. The application of nursing care with Levine's conservation approach can be carried out in various nursing settings both in the critical and terminal phases.

Abstract

The number of urinary tract sufferers is increasing, prevention of urinary tract infections can be held with vulva hygiene. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of health education on vulva hygiene on knowledge of prevention of urinary tract infections (UTI) in class VIII female students at Ash Shiddiqiyyah Integrated Islamic Junior High School. The method used is quantitative research using experimental research design, with one group pretest-posttest design. Total sampling amounted to 39 respondents. The results of this study with data analysis conducted using the Wilxocon Test, there were pre-test results before health education about vulva hyginene regarding knowledge of prevention of urinary tract infections. The conclusion that Ha is accepted means that there is an effect of health education about vulva hygiene on knowledge of preventing urinary tract infections (UTI) in class VIII students at Ash Shiddiqiyyah Integrated Islamic Junior High School. Suggestions from this study are expected that the community can increase knowledge about vulva hygiene for the prevention of urinary tract infections

Abstract

Indonesian health profile data in 2022 revealed that there were 30,154 cases of gastritis and included in the top ten diseases among sick people in Indonesian hospitals. Predisposing factors in the occurrence of gastritis are respondent characteristics, stress, and coffee consumption patterns. This study is a quantitative study that uses primary data (questionnaires) and uses cross-sectional research methods. The aim of this study is knowing the relationship between the stress and coffee consumption to gastritis. The sampling technique in this study used Purposive Sampling with a total sample size of 172 early adults in the Pondok Benda Health Center working area. The results of this study found that there was a relationship between stress and the incidence of gastritis (p-value = 0.037, < 0.05) and there was a relationship between coffee consumption and the incidence of gastritis (p-value = 0.024, < 0.05). Conclusion in this study is there was a relationship between stress and coffee consumption patterns to the incidence of gastritis.

Abstract

Background: Type II Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a chronic metabolic disease that can cause long-term complications, incluiding peripheral artery disease, which can be detected through the Ankle Brachial Index (ABI) examination. Non-pharmacological management, such as acupressure and warm water immersion, serves as a potential complementary therapy to improve ABI scores. Objective: This study determined the difference in ABI values after administering acupressure and warm water immersion therapies to type II DM patients. Method: The researches used a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest approach and two intervention groups: acupressure and warm water immersion. A total of 76 respondents participated. The researches analyzed the data using the paired t-test and independent samples t-test. Results: The paired t-test results showed a significant increase in ABI values after both acupressure (p = 0.001) and warm water immersion (p = 0.000). The independent samples t-test results indicated no significant difference existed between the two. Conclusion: These interventions can serve as alternative non-pharmacological therapies to improve peripheral blood circulation in DM patients.
