Abstract

Al-Wāfî bimā fî Shahîhain li al-Imāmaini al-Bukhārî wa Muslim by Salih bin Ahmad al-Syāmî is a secondary-contemporary hadith book that is important to study. This book is unique compared to other similar books such as 'Umdah al-Ahkām by al-Maqdisi and al-Lu'lu' wa al-Marjān by Fuad Abdul Baqi. In this article, the issues studied in al-Wāfî are their position and significance, the systematization of the arrangement of hadiths and their books, as well as the method of selecting hadiths and summarizing their books. This problem is examined by comparative-confirmative analysis and analysis of its significance-relevance in the present context. The results of the study show that the book of al-Wāfî: (1) has a very important position because the theme is relatively complete, the hadiths are concise and representative, and the presentation of the book is easy, even though the themes and hadiths are limited; (2) the hadiths are arranged thematically, with a special systematic, detailed and easily accessible. However, for the current context, many new themes do not yet exist; and (3) the method of selecting the hadiths by standard is taking the most complete and representative hadiths, even though the implementation is sometimes inconsistent.

Abstract

The ideal hope for a household is the realization of a happy, harmonious and peaceful family. It's just that this often doesn't materialize because of a family problem and dispute that is difficult to compromise on, so the path taken is divorce (talak). The problem that will be examined is the validity of divorce outside the courtroom in the perspective of hadith. This article will contain an explanation of the problems of divorce with the formulation of important issues; first, what is the law on divorce?, and second, how is the hadith about divorce understood in the Indonesian context? To answer this question, the writer uses descriptive-analytical theory. After the required data has been collected, the authors carry out an analysis and comparison with positive law through the Compilation of Islamic Law. As a result, divorce is indeed something that is permitted by religion and at the same time becomes behavior that is hated by Allah. So it takes policy and comprehensive understanding of this problem. On the other hand, the state requires that the divorce process be carried out in the Religious Courts, in order to ensure the benefit of each party and become a standard legal basis.

Abstract

The law of wishing Merry Christmas by Muslims is always debated and can be an indicator to determine the level of religious moderation. There are at least three groups in the legal debate wishing Merry Christmas, namely groups that allow, prohibit, and situational. One of the figures that has attracted public attention regarding the law of wishing Merry Christmas is Dr. Buya Ar Razzy through Deddy Corbuzier’s YouTube podcast. By applying Stuart Hall’s reception theory, this study found that the reception of hadith tasyabbuh and intentions in the podcast are included in the negotiation category. This welcoming pattern is proof that ar Razzy is trying to spread a moderate mindset. This moderation has implications for the creation of cyber Muslims who are wiser in responding to differences. This is reflected in the digital response in the podcast comments. In addition, the emergence of many video clips on YouTube Shorts with positive narratives is another proof that more and more parties agree with the moderate opinion and mission presented by ar Razzy.

Abstract

The debate about the meaning of the term ahl al-sunnah wa al-jamā'ah in the iftirāq al-ummah hadith has not stopped until now. Each group has different views and claims to each other as the most deserving of that status. Al-Barbahari (d. 329 H), one of the figures of the Hanbali school of thought, tried to revive this understanding, but then tried to revive it haphazardly by modern Salafi-Wahhabi groups in order to legitimize the takfiri movement and anti-heresy sentiments. This article explains the views of al-Barbahari in the book Syarḥ al-Sunnah with several basic questions; first, what is al-Barbahari's view in interpreting ahl al-sunnah wa al-jamā'ah?, and second, what is the approach of manhaj wasaṭiyyah al-Azhar in explaining the same term? To analyze this problem, the writer uses descriptive-analytical method through the approach of manhaj al-Azhar al-Syarif and found the fact that Al-Barbahari has the characteristics of thinking that tend to be textual and pragmatic. Thus, there are many discrepancies in the discourse of aqidah, the use of reason in understanding the texts, and the methods of criticism and syarah of hadith are not appropriate.

Abstract

The Prophet forbade his ummah not to build buildings over graves because they did not want to be like the previous people, namely the ummah of Noah as who worshiped their ancestors and the ignorant Arab people who worshiped idols. However, this prohibition is realized by society today with various perspectives. This paper aims to find out the perspective of the Kampung Mahmud Community towards the hadith prohibiting building over graves through two basic questions; first, how is the concept of graves and the prohibition of building over graves in Islam?, and second, how is the understanding of the people of Kampung Mahmud in understanding the prohibition of building over graves?.. The method used is a qualitative-descriptive method by collecting all observational data, interviews and documentation were then analyzed using the sociology of knowledge approach developed by Begger and Luckmann, namely social construction theory which includes three aspects, externalization, objectivation and internalization. The results of this study indicate that the Mahmud village community allows building over graves with several conditions that have been mutually agreed upon, namely that it must be built on private land and the center of the grave must be empty. They also forbid the construction of buildings over graves if they are used for worship.

Abstract

The Prophet through his hadiths taught goodness to his people, both in the realm of attitude, character, worship, and even greater things. In practice, Muslims only implement the prophet's commands to the extent of religious doctrine which considers the prophet to be ma'shum, but they forget the conceptual dimensions that actually support the truth of what the prophet conveyed. This article discusses the connectivity between the hadith of the Prophet SAW and sains through two fundamental questions; first, what is the methodological conceptual relationship between hadith and sains?, and second, to what extent is the truth of hadith seen from a scientific perspective? Both questions are analyzed using descriptive-analytical research methods which will then be compared to find the meeting point. The results found a very close relationship between hadith and sains, where both are built on methodology and are objective. The truth is not just a claim, but the truth is proven through data and facts.
