Abstract

This research wanted to know the competitive strategy chosen by Desa Puri Syariah Hotel to face competition in sharia accommodation industry in order to achieve company goals and objectives. The design of this research is descriptive qualitative. The subjects or informants taken in this study were determined by purposive procedures. The data collection of this research is by deep interview. The conclusion of this research is with competitive strategy that applied, Desa Puri Syariah Hotel able to survive in the syariah accommodation business competition in Yogyakarta. Desa Puri Syariah Hotel can withstand the overall cost advantages that appear from the selling price of its rooms far below its competitors, the differentiation that trying to build compared to other sharia hotels is the familial relationships that management trying to build to its customers, and focus on providing halal service, Muslim niche market, and online marketing.

Abstract

This is a case study to explain the causal relationship between the variables in the research model, namely product quality, service quality, price perceptions, and brand association to customer satisfaction, and customer loyalty. The research was conducted by distributing questionnaires to 130 people who have two or more Honda motorcycles in the last 5 years in Surabaya, then processed using Stuctural Equation Modeling (SEM) method with the help of AMOS 20.0 software. The result of research indicated that the direct effect of product quality to customer loyalty is 0.270, while the influence of product quality to customer loyalty indirectly through customer satisfaction mediation is 0.102. The value of the direct effect of product quality on customer loyalty is greater than the indirect effect. The results showed that there is no direct effect of service quality on customer loyalty because the value is very small that is 0,065, while the influence of service quality to customer loyalty indirectly through customer satisfaction mediation is also very small that is equal to 0.049. The direct effect of price perception on customer loyalty is 0.236, while the effect of price perception on customer loyalty indirectly through customer satisfaction mediation is 0.064. The direct influence of brand association to customer loyalty is 0.318, while the influence of brand association to customer loyalty indirectly through customer satisfaction mediation is 0.041.

Abstract

In order to improve a classroom engagement in learning one specific lesson, for instance, in Management Information System (MIS) subject, certainly there is an extra effort need to be done. MIS originally is a quite technical lesson that requires adequate prior knowledge on Management and Information system. Clearly, MIS is something new for secretary study program students. As a lecturer, we need to shift from becoming the centre of learning rather than to lead students to become more active in the learning process (student - centered learning). In relation to that, a classroom action research (CAR) is needed urgently to help both lecturer and students running the class effectively. This time, the researcher tries to implement a Jigsaw learning type throughout two stages and phases. Hopefully, all students who learn one of MIS chapter which is about ‘The role of Information to increase product and service quality’ could understand the topic better than before using Jigsaw. Then, finally all secretary students who enrolled in this class could achieve a good mark in the final exam.

Abstract

Conventional management has several weaknesses that must be covered so that the company can be grow. Therefore, trading companies try to analyze the constraints in the company’s expansion, namely marketing management with a customer interface approach. The factor that makes a company in using marketing management is the development of technology in this case information technology. With the existence of information technology customers can easily find the desired product in a store or company, customers can also compare expected products with similar products, customers can also request transactions electronically and request delivery of goods to the destination address with certain conditions and amounts. In addition, customers can easily see information about the item without having to go to the store. These advantages make use of information technology for business management so that trading companies can survive and anticipate the threat of similar companies in eroding the turnover of their business. This research will examine how the marketing process has been carried out by computer stores that have run management traditionally and electronically, how to design and develop marketing management to compete with similar companies. The purpose of this study was to find out the results obtained from utilizing information technology in management traditionally and electronically through interviews and surveys and thinking about how to develop marketing management to become the market leader in Central Java Province. The benefits of this research are so that it can be a consideration in determining good online marketing, as well as improving the quality of services that are better in increasing sales and expanding the sales area. The method used is marketing management with customer interfaces.

Abstract

The food industry keeps on growing due to the needs of each individual for food to survive. The purpose of this research is to determine the influence of aesthetics, serviceability, perceived quality and durability on the customer satisfaction of Le Fluffy Dessert. Population in this study is customers who already bought product of Le Fluffy Dessert. The number of the population is 53 people. The sampling technique used is saturated sampling. This research uses total of 53 Le Fluffy Dessert customers as the samples. The data are collected using questionnaire. The technique analysis used in this research is multiple linear regression analysis. The results show that aesthetics and serviceability have no significant effect on the customer satisfaction of Le Fluffy Dessert. The results also show that perceived quality and durability significantly affect the customer satisfaction of Le Fluffy Dessert.

Abstract

Taxes is one of the most important sources of national income, which is taxes are a main sources in sustaining government and development in a country. Indonesia is a developing country so it is not in spite of the various infrastructure development. In view of its development, the construction sector contributed substantially as the drivers of national economic growth.This study using qualitative research with the aim to analyze aspects of the income tax and value added tax on construction industry. Aspects of taxation to the construction businesses has characteristics with other business. The method of recognition of income used is the percentage of completion method. The results of research showed that revenue from construction businesses income tax withholding has been made final income tax by the Treasurer, while the income derived from procurement of goods this failure code in the remittance of taxes, so have to make a balance transfer application. In the Value Added Tax, taxable person/entrepreneurs are overpaid VAT because the entire transaction was opposed to VAT collector.

Abstract

In organization, especially in a company, it is necessary to implement a monitoring and an appraisal toward the activities of the employees. Performance Appraisal is the activity of an organization in appraising the task that has been done by the employees / organization member. Strategic Models is one of the models in the Decision Support Systems (DSS) that can be used as an alternative way in doing the Performance Appraisal. Strategic Models is used by the top management to help in determining the organization’s objective, the resources that are needed to achieve the objective, the policy to determine the result, the usage, the assignment, and the management of the resources. In calculating formulas, Assignment Model and Sociometry Model which are used as the implementation of Strategic Models can give a useful result to the management in getting the best employee.

Abstract

Intense competition between companies in the era of a global economy requires companies to always be the leader and best in providing satisfactory service to consumers especially companies engaged in services. Sales force management is often seen as part of marketing management is crucial in supporting the success of the company. The purpose of this study to analyze the impact of customer orientation, adaptive selling, and quality-customer relationship salesperson to salesperson performance. Methods in this study conducted by questionnaire. The population in this study is the salesperson who is in the marketing office of PT. Prudential Life Assurance in JL Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo, No. 40 A Semarang, the sample used in this study were 85 respondents and sampling of the population using purposive sampling technique. Testing the hypothesis in this study using multiple regression analysis with SPSS applications 21. The results of the study with multiple linear regression showed that adaptive selling and quality of the salesperson-customer relationship positive and significant effect on salespeople performance, and customer orientation does not affect the salespeople performance.

Abstract

People talk about entrepreneurship simply everywhere. This trend also happens in Indonesia as it is proved with the increase of 3.1% entrepereneurship development ratio in 2016 (www.depkop.go.id). The hype is supported by the expansion of e-commerce in Indonesia. The rise of e-commerce entrepreneurs in Indonesia is one of the factors that makes Business English study program to set up Integrated Business Applications (IBA) course. The course is intended to make students learn to do business activities by doing real online business. This research would like to reveal whether the IBA course could enhance students’ entrepreneurial skills or not. This research uses fifth semester students who already passed this course as respondents. The findings of this research reveal that Integrated Business Applications course is really essential to enhance students’ entrepreneurial skills. Further research could be implemented in order to find the impact of this course to the other study program.
