Abstract

Gemilang Lima Jaya (GLJ) has done such a word of mouth promotion, personal selling, sales promotion, and advertising. But in fact, GLJ generates sales is low due to lack of brand awareness on a sandal with a brand of NIMS. The purpose of this study was to evaluate communication marketing that can support GLJ’s brand awareness. This type of research is a qualitative method with semi structured interviews with GLJ’s consumers, CEO of GLJ, lecturers who supervise the project and experts, and documentation in collecting data. The results showed that (1) the overall that marketing communication applied in support of brand awareness GLJ is still not effective (2) factor marketing communication that supports brand awareness is advertising. (2) Advertising and personal selling GLJ yet effective, the need for evaluation in improvingInstagram such as posting the supporting images and increase the intensity of advertising. Personal selling by increasing design stand, do partnership, and doexhibition surveys. (3) Word of mouth and sales promotion has been running quite effectively. Still, Word of mouth needs evaluation by expanding markets outside the community. Sales Promotion is in compliance with the target market GLJ, yet still needs to be improved by offeringpromotional goods such as stamp and voucher.

Abstract

This research aimed to invesitgate the exploration of intrinsic and extrinsic motivation for the sustainability of Ciputra University’s student’ businesses. Using a qualitative approach. This study employed semi-structured interview for a data collection method. The key informants of this present study involved are 3 Student’s businesses wich still continues after 7th semesters, 1 student’s business wich is ended in 7 th semester, 1 Human Resource Managements lecturer who understand human empowerment in doing business, and 1 IBM-Practice coordinator who understand motivation factor In Student business sustainability. This study found there’s 3 extrinsic motivation and 4 intrinsic motivation students need to maintain their business’ sustainability. Qualification is the first intrinsic motivation, because the matriculants recognized, they should be going to Ciputra University for studying business. Need for independence and responsibility were also intrinsic motivation drive student’s business’ sustainability. Self-actulization was the basic of all motivation. The first extrinsic motivation was student’s task completion, so the students’ businesses were run to grade achievement. Resources and group-mate also drive student’s motivation for maintaining their businesses’ sustainability.

Abstract

The food industry keeps on growing due to the needs of each individual for food to survive. The purpose of this research is to determine the influence of aesthetics, serviceability, perceived quality and durability on the customer satisfaction of Le Fluffy Dessert. Population in this study is customers who already bought product of Le Fluffy Dessert. The number of the population is 53 people. The sampling technique used is saturated sampling. This research uses total of 53 Le Fluffy Dessert customers as the samples. The data are collected using questionnaire. The technique analysis used in this research is multiple linear regression analysis. The results show that aesthetics and serviceability have no significant effect on the customer satisfaction of Le Fluffy Dessert. The results also show that perceived quality and durability significantly affect the customer satisfaction of Le Fluffy Dessert.

Abstract

This research is done with a purpose of knowing how the evaluation of the work motivation that has an impact on the performance of the members of Hepi Potato (PIPO). Methods that was used for this research is qualitative approach. The data retrieval process is done by interview method. The researcher interviewed 4 informants, they are 2 members of PIPO, a facilitator lecturer of PIPO, and a motivation expert. The aim of this research is to improve the performance of the members of PIPO by evaluating their work motivation. Based on the result of the interview, it has been found that the performance of PIPO was already good enough but has not maximum yet so it still can be improved, while for the valuation of the work motivation in PIPO decreased because of the rushing activity and has reached saturation point. The result of this research is that to increase the work motivation in PIPO, each member must search for internal motivation first and each member has to be open with one another so they can support each other. Other than motivation, there are other factors that can improve the performance which are direct supervisor and organizational culture.

Abstract

Java Origin is a company that runs in fashion field. The competition of the business world become tighten in accordance with the era. Various strategies are done by the company so that the company will not be left behind by the other competitors. One of the company’s strategy is to fix internal SOP. To know the role of SOP quality control towards operational performance of Java Origin. Determination of data source use purposive sampling with two speakers from internal employeer of Java Origin. One lecturer of Java Origin and one owner of business. The method that is used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. Data analysis use data reduction. Validation and data reliability that are used membercheck and triangulation source. The result of this research is the company is still lack concept out SOP. Java Origin company need to follow the existing SOP, does not interfere work division, implement evaluation system, built up more communication.

Abstract

PT Orela Shipyard is a family company running the shipping industry. In the two recent years, the company’s turnover becomes fluctuated, this change is caused by some factors, one of them is the employee work motivation. The purpose of this research is to find out the factors that motivate the employee works of PT Orela Shipyard. The data used are primary data with data collection techniques by using a questionnaire.The sample that is used is 60 employees of PT Orela Shipyard that consist of 30 office employees and 30 shipyard employees with a simple random sampling technique and that are processed by using SmartPLS 3.0 software program. This research uses a first-order construct and second-order construct tests. The results of this research indicate that the variables of work safety, award, achievement, salary, relationship with superiors and work conditions are the factors that motivate the work of the employees at PT Orela Shipyard.

Abstract

Vermicelli is a type of food originating from China, vermicelli are white noodles made from processed rice flour. Kuntul vermicelli is a rice vermicelli produced by company Gizi Pangan Nusantara. There is an increasing demand for vermicelli but the production quantity is difficult to increase, this problem can be caused by several factors, therefore the researcher will explore the factors that can affect the production of Kuntul vermicelli. The purpose of this study is to determine the factors that can affect Kuntul vermicelli production to increase the quantity of Kuntul vermicelli that can be produced. Respondents in this study are vermicelli companies registered on the website of the ministry of industry. The number of samples used was 50 respondents. The research approach was carried out quantitatively by using exploratory factor analysis method. The data collection method used a questionnaire based on 4 variables which are thought to be factors that influence the production of Kuntul vermicelli. The results of this study indicate that there are 2 factors that are formed, namely factor 1 consists of personal capital and the amount of market demand while factor 2 consists of business condition after adding capital and raw material inventory.

Abstract

Kegiatan ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kebutuhan ruang yang nyaman bagi civitas akademika sebuah universitas dalam bekerja dan berkontribusi bagi negara melalui kualitas pendidikan. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah meningkatkan kompetensi soft skill dan hard skill tenaga kebersihan melalui pelatihan Profesional Cleanning Service di lingkup Universitas Ciputra Surabaya. Metode yang digunakan adalah pelatihan yang disertai ceramah, demonstrasti, praktek dan evaluasi. Terdapat 2 jenis evaluasi yang dilakukan yaitu pre-test dan post-test. Hasil dari pelatihan ini nenunjukan nilai sig. (2 tailed) sebesar 0,000 (p < 0,005) pada soft skill dan hard skill. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa ada pengaruh yang signifikan pelatihan terhadap peningkatan keterampilan perserta dalam bidang service management, kompentensi sanitasi, dan kesehatan dan keselamatan kerja.

Abstract

Kebersihan sebuah universitas mencerminkan upaya lembaga pendidikan tinggi tersebut untuk menjaga agar kegiatan belajar mengajar berlangsung dengan baik, karena kebersihan semua sarana dan prasarana sangat mendukung proses pembelajaran  Gedung universitas yang terjaga kebersihannya akan menjadi tempat belajar yang nyaman bagi mahasiswa dan tempat bekerja yang menyenangkan bagi staf dan dosen, yang pada gilirannya akan memberikan kontribusi optimal bagi nusa dan bangsa.  Di Universitas Ciputra, hal tersebut tidak mudah diwujudkan, namun tenaga petugas kebersihan sebagai garda terdepan mengemban tugas untuk melakukan dan menjaga kebersihan, mereka tetap harus dapat melakukan tugas tersebut dengan baik. Berdasarkan wawancara dan observasi, umumnya para petugas kebersihan diberikan pelatihan dasar secara singkat saat bergabung dan selanjutnya bekerja secara langsung di lapangan dengan pengawasan seorang team leader, dan mereka belum memiliki pengetahuan lebih jauh mengenai sanitasi dan higiene lingkungan. Atas dasar hal tersebut maka dilaksanakan sebuah kegiatan yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan sanitasi dan higiene lingkungan, kesehatan dan keselamatan kerja bagi petugas kebersihan di Universitas Ciputra, agar mereka dapat melakukan tugasnya dengan lebih baik. Pelatihan ini bekerjasama dengan mitra Property Management Universitas Ciputra sebagai penghubung dan pengatur terselenggaranya pelatihan bagi  Cleaning Service di Universitas Ciputra.  Metode yang digunakan adalah model pelatihan kepada para petugas kebersihan dengan mengukur sebelum dan sesudah pelatihan dilakukan. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan sanitasi dan higiene lingkungan, kesehatan dan keselamatan kerja  petugas tenaga kebersihan di lembaga pendidikan tinggi setelah mengikuti pelatihan sebesar 17 persen terutama dalam hal pengetahuan secara teori mengenai sanitasi dan higiene lingkungan, kesehatan dan keselamatan kerja.  Kata kunci: cleaning service, higienis, professionalitas, sanitas, Universitas Ciputra.

Abstract

Instagram is one of the most popular social media right now. This is proven by millions of active users who use it. In order to optimize Instagram marketing, research is done on well-known brands in Surabaya that use Instagram as their marketing media. The aim of this research is to explore more about which marketing techniques are more effective than others among Instagram business owners, so that it can be used by researcher to determine Instagram marketing optimization efforts for No Club business growth. The method used in this research is qualitative research using descriptive analysis. The informants in this study were three people who were selected based on purposive sampling. Observation and interview were conducted on brands in Surabaya who use Instagram as their marketing media, namely Other Rag Enterprise, Cosmic, and Garlick. The results of this study indicate that Instagram is effectively used for marketing activities. There are several strategies that can be implicated by No Club related to features on Instagram such as cameras, hashtags, arrobas, geotagging, and comments also need to be considered to improve service quality. The most effective marketing on Instagram is by soft selling and up to date every day with at least 1 post a day and a simple but attractive caption. Promotion can be carried out with selebgram and those who are still relevant to the young and fashion target market. The focus of the promotion is on the Instagram feeds and Instagram story features.
