Abstract

Perkembangan industri otomotif dalam hal ini alat berat yaitu sebagai sarana logistic untuk sarana angkut hasil pertambangan dewasa ini sangat tinggi dan bersaing, terutama penggunaan mobil-mobil yang bermuatan besar dalam hal ini Semi Trailer Side Tipper tipe 74 sebagai alat transportasi darat. Tingginya permintaan dari sebesar 20 unit perbulan menjadi 32 unit perbulan yang dipengaruhi oleh harga terjangkau dan kesesuaian dengan minat masyarakat Indonesia, membuat pihak pengelola harus meningkatkan efisiensi dari beberapa aspek untuk tetap meningkatkan kualitas.Demikian pula yang terjadi pada PT. XYZ sebagai salah satu perusahaan pengadaan atau pembuatan Semi Trailer Side Tipper tipe 74. Hal ini juga berdampak pada line efficiency jalur perakaitan Semi Trailer Side Tipper tipe 74 nilai Efisiensi line 24,88 %, Idle Time 14,49 jam, Balance delay 6 %, Smoothest Indeks 8,61, Takt Time 14,67 jam/unit. Metode yang digunakan untuk meningkatkan line efficiency dan menurunkan idle time, Balance Delay, Smoothest Indeks, Takt Time yaitu metode penyeimbangan lintasan atau line balancing. Hasil yang diperoleh dari aktivitas line balancing pada jalur produksi Semi Trailer Side Tipper tipe 74 adalah jumlah stasiun kerja menurun dari 16 stasiun kerja menjadi 15 stasiun kerja, efficiency line meningkat dari 75,12 % menjadi 80,81%, idle time ratio menurun dari 14,49 jam menjadi 8,90 jam, Balance Delay menurun dari 6% menjadi 5,89% dan Smoothest Indeks meurun dari 8,61 menjadi 6,71. Peningkatan efisiensi pada jalur Semi Trailer Side Tipper tipe 74 berimbas pada kebutuhan operator produksi yang bertambah dari 41 operator menjadi 43 operator. Dengan menurunnya kebutuhan produksi 20 unit perbulan menjadi 32 unit perbulan serta pengurangan stasiun kerja di kurangi dengan penambahan 2 orang operator maka perusahaan mendapat keuntungan kotor sebesar Rp 132.838.460,- per bulan atau Rp 1.594.061.520,- per tahun.

Abstract

Ultrasonic Welding has been used to join the thermoplastic material of about 35 years. Now, Ultrasonic Welding has been widely used not only for the thermoplastic material, but also can be used for all kinds of industries, one of which is the textile industry. Ultrasonic Welding has many advantages economically and efficiency. In its use of the zipper industry, Ultrasonic Welding used to join between components to the surface of the film nylon zipper. However, the wrong calculation of the temperature and the length of time could caused the strength of nylon films was reduced to cause permanent damage. This study aims to determine the temperature and duration of heating time. Ultrasonic Welding is used Branson type with power supply 40 kHz / 60 W with a maximum current of 3A. Booster type used is standard series M8 x 1:25 Horn 40 kHz with titanium material. Converter used CH30 with a maximum continuous use at 60 W. attachment method used is butt joint with a gap between the horn surface is ¼ inch zipper.Thermoplastic material in this case used nylon 66.

Abstract

Cathodic Electro Deposition atau CED adalah proses pelapisan sebuah objek yang memiliki permukaan konduktif terhadap listrik menggunakan material organik. Permukaan konduktif tersebut dihubungkan dengan arus listrik sebagai katoda, sedangkan pelapisan menggunakan cat bermuatan positif berupa medium air bermuatan listrik. Objek Cathodic Electro Deposition (CED) berupa logam, mudah bermuatan listrik. Material organik yang digunakan terkandung dalam cat atau dapat disertakan melalui tahapan proses. Cathodic Electro Deposition (CED) digunakan pada pelapisan komponen kendaraan. Electro-deposition sebagai cara praktis dalam mengecat telah dikembangkan dalam industri otomotif selama akhir 1950 dan awal 1960 untuk mengecat mobil dan bagian–bagian mobil. Material yang terbawa air yang digunakan dalam sistem awal semua jenis resin anodik berdasarkan exsisting air ditanggung teknologi cat primer. Teknologi ini bukan merupakan hal langka di dunia industri. Kata kunci: Kemajuan teknologi, efisiensi, and Cathodic Electro Deposition (CED)

Abstract

Research that has been done resulting hull of Series 60 is one model of ship hulls. Series 60 hull is used for the a merchant ship to block coefficient range from 0.65 - 080. Research Series 60 hull has great success, the American Towing Tank Conference (ATTC) and the International Towing Tank Conference (ITTC) agreed to fund further research for the Series 60 hull. The results of further research, published by the Society of Naval Architects and Marine enginners (SNAME). hull form series 60 is still widely used for type of commercial ships due to have a midship U is almost square so that traffic carried quite a lot of it is important for commercial ships, in addition to stability is also good. The bow of a ship is part of the greatest pressure and voltages, as the brunt of the water and the ship blows waves. Modeled and analyzed Series 60 Hull with a sloping shape of the bow, the bulbows and X-Bow with the main dimension of the vessel : Lpp = 30.97m, B = 4.34m, T = 1.7m. To further analyze the effect of the three forms of the bow ship for resistance and speed. Analyzed to three forms of the hull at speeds of 0 to 8.25 knots have resistance almost flat at around 7000 Newton, meaning the ship relatively similar obstacles. At speeds above the 8.25 knots have resistance vessel with a hull tilted began to increase with increasing vessel speed has become increasingly apparent obstacles ships is increasing drastic, especially at a speed of 30 knots have resistance of ship 257733 Newton when compared with resistance vessel for bulbows form who is resistance 230059 Newton or X-bow have resistance 228943 Newton.

Abstract

Energy Audit to Improve Energy Consumption Efficiency in Building D Bank Indonesia, Electrical energy is one of the most important necessities of life for humans. Various human activities require electrical energy. Likewise, the activity in the D building which is one of the buildings in the Office Environment Bank Indonesia (KOPERBI) requires electrical energy is very large. Electrical energy is supplied from PLN 9,500 kVA connected power and back-up generator 5 x 1,500 kVA, equivalent to 7,500 kVA. Distribusui use electrical energy as follows: 8.56% lighting load, air conditioner (AC) 67.72% and 23.72% other building equipment. IKE standard used in Indonesia is the result of research conducted by ASEAN USAID in 1987 that a new report issued in 1992, which for the office's value is 240 kWh / m2 per year. IKE Building D BI is as follows IKE Initial Energy Audit is 250.03 kWh / m2.tahun, IKE Detailed Energy Audit is 239.81 kWh / m2.tahun, IKE Phase 1 After Implementation PHE is 224.02 kWh / m2 .tahun, IKE Phase 2 After Implementation PHE is 219.06 kWh / m2.tahun. Abstract

Litsea cordata Jack (Hook).F is a high tree which grows in West Java.The Alkaloid constituents were isolated from methanol extract , by the usal acid-base extraction to produce a total alkaloid. The total alkaloid was separated into phenolic and non-phenolic fractions with the same way. Two alkaloids components isolated from the phenolic fraction suggested to be , tetrahydro-benzylisokuinolyne derivative and aporphine derivative base on spectroscopic data , UV and mass spectrum.

Abstract

Many things can affect the quality of Arc Sprayed process, including the process of setting the parameters of the machine, especially large current and voltage settings on the machine Arc Sprayed burning electricity (in this study using the machine SULZER METCO TUBE models 300). Given it is done research on comparative analysis of the microstructure of the material hardness and cooper wire AW 14 GA and 13Cr steel which will be used as the standard parameters on PT. X by using some variation of voltage (voltage) and current (ampere) on the machine SULZER METCO TUBE 300 models that aim to make the coating material sprayed results arc process. Coating or coating aims to improve the mechanical properties of the material or industrial goods that are far superior and quality of existing or recondition the mechanical properties of the material originally kekondisi. One example of that is the Arc Sprayed coatings using Copper material AW 14GA and 13Cr steel. The amount of electric current used in this study for 200A, 225A, 250A, and 275A and a large voltage that is used for 26V, 28V, 30V and 32V with standard minimum hardness of 118 HV and 372 HV hardness maximum amount and there is no porosity of testing photo material micro structure. From the research, it was found that the magnitude of the ideal machine parameters in accordance with the quality standards that have been set, namely the+32V 250A engine parameters, and the parameters used as the standard parameters for the production process in PT. X.

Abstract

Batteries or accumulators on the car serves to store electrical energy in the form of chemical energy, which will be used to supply the system to the electric starter, ignition system, lights and other electrical components. In the car, the battery damage can occur due to many factors including temperature. Batteries that work at higher temperatures will have a life span that is lower than at normal room temperature (25OC). Generally, the location of the battery is in the engine room so that the battery position was close to the engine. The car engine works at the optimum temperature 80 ° C - 90 ° C so that the heat is around the engine room can be exposed directly to the battery and can affect the performance and lifetime of the battery. Adding insulation on cover, with low thermal conductivity coefficient will decrease heat transfer rate . Polyurethane as insulation with 7,5 mm thickness will maintenance battery liquid temperature 45,5 OC after running through three hundred minutes.

Abstract

Pada kendaraan sepeda motor, connecting rod berfungsi untuk menghubungkan piston dengan crankshaft atau poros engkol, selanjutnya meneruskan tenaga yang dihasilkan oleh piston ke poros engkol. Pada saat ini banyak beredar connecting rod imitasi dimasyarakat, dimana pada connecting rod imitasi lebih cepat mengalami kerusakan dibandingkan connecting rod asli, itu dikarenakan adanya perbedaan mechanical properties yang tidak sesuai dengan standar nya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui perbandingan nilai kekuatan tarik pada connecting rod asli dan imitasi. Dimana dilakukan beberapa metode pengujian untuk mengetahui perbedaan dari masing – masing sample diantaranya : uji komposisi kimia, uji metallografi, uji tarik. Dari hasil pengujian material connecting rod asli dan imitasi, hasil uji komposisi kimia diketahui kadar karbon (C) pada connecting rod asli sebesar 0.176% dan pada connecting rod imitasi sebesar 0.170%. Selain itu unsur chromium (Cr) pada connecting rod asli sebesar 1.15% dan pada connecting rod imitasi sebesar 0.933%. Dari hasil uji metallografi pada connecting rod asli dan imitasi didapati fasa didominan dengan ferit dan pearlit. Hasil uji tarik pada connecting rod asli memiliki nilai rata – rata sebesar 1084.5 N/ (Mpa) dan pada rata – rata nilai kekuatan tarik pada connecting rod imitasi  sebesar 916.96 N/ (Mpa).

Abstract

The fishermen in Kasemen subdistrict are the traditional fishermen who depend on the stars in the sky for navigation in caching fishes at the ocean . So, they do not go to the ocean everyday. There are many days that they must stay at home. They have another skill besides the fishermen. That is a problem. A solution of this problem is producing a special boat for the ocean tourisme. The boat is katir boat that made from plastics and combine with the glass at the bottom to see the beautiful under water views. The fishermen could be the guide of the sea tourisme because this area is rich with life and under water views. For the first , study to calculate of the cost is to be done , make a design of katir boat with the glass on the bottom and steps of production with economy of engineering method. The results are if the fishermen have to make the boat (Katir) with a special type by themselves need a lot of cost Rp.11.500.000 by a boat (without the engine) . If  the owner of the boats want to make of Katir production from fiberglass with a glass on the bottom as a special type for the ocean tourisme make a lot of cost Rp.12.710.000 by a boat (without the engine)  and get a Rp.1.110.000 profit  after reduced by production cost Rp.11.600.000 by a boat. If the investors want to enter the bussiness of  Katir industry seriously , the capital will be back (Break Event Point/BEP) on time of 4.5 years or after 10th Katir production.
