Abstract

Many things can affect the quality of Arc Sprayed process, including the process of setting the parameters of the machine, especially large current and voltage settings on the machine Arc Sprayed burning electricity (in this study using the machine SULZER METCO TUBE models 300). Given it is done research on comparative analysis of the microstructure of the material hardness and cooper wire AW 14 GA and 13Cr steel which will be used as the standard parameters on PT. X by using some variation of voltage (voltage) and current (ampere) on the machine SULZER METCO TUBE 300 models that aim to make the coating material sprayed results arc process. Coating or coating aims to improve the mechanical properties of the material or industrial goods that are far superior and quality of existing or recondition the mechanical properties of the material originally kekondisi. One example of that is the Arc Sprayed coatings using Copper material AW 14GA and 13Cr steel. The amount of electric current used in this study for 200A, 225A, 250A, and 275A and a large voltage that is used for 26V, 28V, 30V and 32V with standard minimum hardness of 118 HV and 372 HV hardness maximum amount and there is no porosity of testing photo material micro structure. From the research, it was found that the magnitude of the ideal machine parameters in accordance with the quality standards that have been set, namely the+32V 250A engine parameters, and the parameters used as the standard parameters for the production process in PT. X.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the cause of damage to the welded joints in the spool pipe on the pre-cooler air venting system in the natural gas exploration and production environment in the form of crack defects. The analysis was done by taking field data in the form of operational data and chemical content of fluid served, visual observation, chemical composition test with Optical Emission Spectrocopy, Hardness Testing using Rockwell scale B, Micro observation and makrophotograpy, Metalographic observation, microhardness testing using Vickers test plane, Observation of macro fracture surface using Scanning Electron Microscope. Based on the results of the tests and observations, it shows that the main cause of the damage is the brittle crack caused by the welding performance made possible by the use of higher current than required and rapid cooling of the welding of the thin material.

Abstract

Leaf spring is one of the components contained in the rear suspension system and made from high carbon carbon steel. Nowadays, many people do leaf spring modifications, one of them is by the pressing process, but many of the vehicle owners modify it excessively and finally leaf springs broken. Therefore to know how the strength of leaf springs is done by testing the chemical composition test, metallographic test, hardness test and tensile test, the test is done in PT.IWWI located in tangerang area. The sample used to perform the test consisted of 4 samples, namely sample A, sample B, sample C and sample D, taken from each spring number 3 which has been modified as much as 2 cm and that has not been modified. From the four tests obtained results from testing the chemical composition of carbon content contained in sample C is highest with the value of carbon content contained 0.7719. From the hardness testing of sample which has the highest hardness value is sample C with hardness value 111.06 [kgf]. and from the sample tensile strength test which has the highest tensile strength value is sample B with a tensile strength value of 1408.75 [N / mm2].

Abstract

Pada masa globalisasi seperti saat ini, industri berlomba-lomba untuk dapat menjalankan produksinya dengan efisien. Semakin efisien suatu proses yang dijalankan maka semakin rendah pula cost yang akan dikeluarkan. Demikian pula yang terjadi pada Line Rear Axle Assy, dengan mempunyai efisiensi lintasan sebesar 88,28%, lini produksi ini mempunyai waktu menganggur, sehingga kapasitas produksi menjadi rendah dan mengakibatkan Loading vs Capacity (LVC) lini tersebut tinggi, yaitu menyentuh angka 126%. Dengan metode penyeimbangan lintasan (line balancing), kita coba untuk meningkatkan efisiensi lintasan yang nantinya berdampak pada peningkatan kapasitas produksi dan juga akan menurunkan LVC. Setelah dilakukan perbaikan, dengan kondisi lintasan yang semakin seimbang, efisiensi lintasan pun meningkat dari 88,41% menjadi 97,96%. Perubahan efisiensi ini, berimbas pada kapasitas produksi yang juga ikut bertambah sebesar 9,23%. Dengan naiknya kapasitas produksi sebesar 9,23%, berdampak pula pada penurunan LVC dari 126% (waktu kerja 3 shift + 4 Sabtu + 4Minggu), menjadi 119% (waktu kerja 3 shift + 4 Sabtu), kapasitas produksi meningkat 6 unit/jam, total keuntungan perusahaan bertambah sebesar Rp.9.179.160.000.-

Abstract

PT. X is an automotive manufacturing that produce kind of any vehicle on Indonesia. Bending process is one of process system in PT. X. As the biggest manufacturing which have so many consument in Indonesia,  on time delivery is an important things that have to kept costumer smile achievement. From the main factor before if any proces that related delay delivery have to fastly contermeasure and standardization guarantee for reoccurance problem. With using 6 step Kaizen methode and focus to bending frame assy process and frame assy robot process that give the biggest impact to delivery, so as this reason the author make a target for both process can be guaranted as process delivery.

Abstract

This studi purpose to modify the design molding of motorcycle 14 inch  used for gravity casting by using CAD/CAM software. Modifications are made with a view to improving the cast product results from previous research. In previous research conducted by the authors obtained the results of wheels products that still occur defects include missrun defects and shrinkage. The scope of this study is review of problems in the previous design, the foundry system design, the modification process, and the parameter determination of the simulation process. Process simulation refers to the temperature parameter of pre-heating mold of 300 and 350 oC with liquid metal pour temperature ranges 800 and 850 oC, and Heat transfer Coefficient = 500 and 700. The parameters of aluminium materials used are aluminum type A356. Analysis of the simulation process is performed to find shrinkage porosity defects that occurred. From the simulation results, the perfect product is a product with pre-heating temperature of 350 oC, 800 oC cast temperature and HTC value = 500, with a shrinkage of porosity 3.16 %.

Abstract

The need for motorized vehicles at this time is very high. It can be seen from the increasing number of motorized vehicles that have sprung up with various variations and innovations. Motorized vehicles are needed as a means of transportation to support day-to-day activities both to workplaces, schools, sending goods and so on because they are faster and more efficient and fuel efficient. However, the performance capability of motorized vehicles will experience a decline from all aspects, especially the performance of the engine, due to the use or behavior of our use of the motorbike. One way to restore even improve the performance of the motorbike by giving a device to the control unit system in the form of Piggyback, so that the performance of the motorbike will return like the new one and even increase. To be able to find out the performance of the engine before and after using Piggyback, a motor test was performed on the engine by dynotest on the dynamometer. So this reason the author can analyze how much changes in power, torque and fuel to air ratio occur.

Abstract

Plastic deformation is a permanent deformation that occurs in steel, even though the load causing the deformation is removed. It is widely used to change the shape of steel permanently without adding or reducing the chemical composition of the steel. This permanent change in shape is followed by a change in the shape or phase of the microstructure of the steel. Several types of loading on plastic deformation are Pull (drawing), Stamping and Curling, which are widely used to change the shape of a plate to a curve or a circle.
