Abstract

To ensure the safety and health of workers or others who are in the workplace, including the source of production, production processes, and working in safe environment, that showing the application of Occupational Safety and Health Management System (SMK3). The main purpose of application of SMK3 is to giving protection for the workers. Because, workers are assets to be maintained and guarded their safety. The purpose of this study is to determine the extent to which description of the application Government of Regulation Number 50 in 2012 about SMK3 at Food-Beverage Manufacture in 2015. This research use qualitative method and case study design. The object of this study about SMK3 in Food-Beverage Manufacture. The result of study showed that Food-Beverage Manufacture 89% has completed SMK3 Government of Regulation in which consists: (i) the company has not had a person in charge K3 Certificate valid for every worker who was given the responsibility, (ii) don’t yet have procedures regarding the purchase of equipment or materials production, (iii) not create a new certificate upon expiration crane certificate, (iv) yet have a tagging system for the equipment that is no longer safe to use or are not used, (v) has not tested the emergency alarm system (e.g. sprinkler), (vi) have not done the work environment measurement (ergonomics and psychology), (vii) have not had the procedure inspection and assessment of occupational diseases.

Abstract

In principle Manoeuvrability vessel is strongly influenced by the design of the hull, propulsion system and steering system. Some of these elements are directly give a significant effect on the hydrodynamic force and moment when the ship maneuver. Analysis of hydrodynamic aspects is a stage that is absolutely necessary in the design process of a ship, especially for ships operating in waters with varying depths. By the time the ship through the shallow waters can increase frictional resistance surge barriers and the vessel which resulted in a decrease in speed boats. The hull form with rise of floor and without the rise of floor by focusing on the analysis of the obstacles, the character of the ship motion and acceleration criteria in deep and shallow water conditions. In numerical calculations for shallow water conditions (shallow water) with a ratio of water depth and draft of the ships, h / d = 1.2 and deep water (deep water) with h / d = 20. Evaluation of the obstacles, the character motion and acceleration for heave, roll, pitch and yaw is done by combining numerical methods through Hullspeed and AQWA Ansys program. From this numerical calculation, it can be analyzed with the rise of the hull form floor and without a rise of floor optimum for deepwater and shallow.

Abstract

  One of the most commonly discussed Cardiovascular diseases is a stroke uniform caused by the stagnation of blood flow to the brain due to the narrowing of blood vessels by fat (atheroclerosis). This study examines the effect of reducing the number of lumen areas and the location of the blockage to human blood velocity, pressure, and flow rate by using CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics). In the modeling stage, 13 kinds of luminal cross-sectional area were collaborated with 2 clogging locations and 1000 calculation was done. From the simulation, results obtained the value of pressure velocity and discharge. From the results show that the value of velocity reaches peak at 28-30% of lumen cross-sectional area and decreases at 30% cross section. The simulated debit values show that the larger the area of the lumen cross section, the higher the flowing blood flow and the opposite. While the analytic results show the value of speed is increasing and the decreasing pressure caused by the reduction of the luminal cross-sectional area, the value of the calculation of the analytic calculation shows the same values

Abstract

Material JIS G 4051 S 17 C including low carbon steel with alloy composition 0:15% C, 0.157% Si, 1.2% Mn, 0.01% P, of 0.02% S. Low carbon steels are widely applied for construction machinery. This study aimed to analyze the effects of the process of hardening and tempering on material hardness, impack and metallografi. Results of this research show the value of Brinell hardness will increase the hardening process with temperatures of 900 C, holding time 15 minutes and the coolant medium is water. Brinell hardness is HB 364.22, is due to the structure of ferrite and pearlite transformed to martensite. Impack results increased in the process of tempering with temperature 500 C, holding time 15 minutes are cooled with air. Impack toughness value of 0.447 Joule / mm2, is because the value of tenacity to grow up and hardness decreased in the coarse grain structure.

Abstract

Heat exchanger is a means of heat transfer from the fluid temperature is higher to a fluid othertemperature is lower, in which the heat exchanger is one tool that is often found in industries suchas thermal power plant, machinery chemical processes, equipment air conditioner, refrigerator,radiators etc. The design of the exchanger draw string shell and tube is planned using two fluidsare cold fluid (water) in tempratur (Tco = 37 ° C) with a flow rate past the fluid (mc = 0.122 kg / s)and the hot fluid (oil) on tempratur (Thi = 47 ° C) with a flow rate past the fluid (mh = 0.075 kg /s) in which the operation of Heat exchanger will be operated on a thermal load constant that isequal to 5100 watts, then in in the planning of found the number of tube of Heat exchanger was 37pieces with effectiveness of Heat exchanger result of the design is 62%.

Abstract

Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries of the Republic of Indonesia in the development of national fishing fleet in an effort to improve the welfare of fishermen and supporting the domestic shipbuilding industry, will build 3000 fiber glass fishing vessels with gross tonnage various fiscal years 2016 to 2019, 2016, 1719 units have been built with a capacity of 3 GT , 5 GT. 10 GT, 20 GT and 30 GT. In planning the production costs (RAB) needs to be examined carefully because during the RAB production of fishing boats fiber glass made reference to the RAB that already exist, if the RAB is too big ship production becomes uneconomic and likely to occur abuse RAB production conversely if too little can affect the quality production ship. The research objective is to make the RAB production of fishing vessels 30 GT-type purse seine with the cooling system of fish hold where materials and equipment/supplies ship components are marine use with a price refers to the exchange rate of the rupiah, which is expected to guarantee the economic value and the quality of the production vessel, The method used in making the RAB is the survey unit price of materials and equipment/supplies components ship with a screw on the design drawings and technical specifications. Based on the results of the study, the cost of manufacture of molded fiber glass fishing boat 30 GT-type purse seine is Rp.278.225.000, - and the cost of ship production (services and material) of Rp.1.944.470.000, -

Abstract

Dalam penelitan ini akan dibahas mengenai analisis tegangan sistem perpipaan di proyek tangguh pada line 043-GN-31004/T08 yang mana fluida yang mengalir pada pipa mengalami fluktuasi pada pressure dan temperatur setiap harinya dan diperlukan analisis perhitungan tegangannya untuk memastikan jalur pipa yang telah terpasang dan tumpuan pipa yang diletakkan tepat pada tempatnya sehingga tegangan (stress) yang terjadi tidak melebihi limitasi besaran maksimal tegangan yang sudah diatur oleh code/standar ASME B31.3. Hasil analisa perhitungan tegangan akibat beban Sustain maksimum berada pada node 88 pada program CAESAR II sebesar 171.999 Kpa dan perhitungan manual sebesar 245527.7 Kpa dengan deviasi perhitungan sebesar 12.34%. Sehingga perhitungan tidak ada yang melebihi batas tegangan yang diizinkan code/standar ASME B31.3,dan akibat fluktuasi fluida dari segi pressure dan temperatur yang mengakibatkan pipa mengalami perubahan yang tidak menentu setiap harinya maka pada node 88 perlu dilakukan perencanaan ulang dengan  menambah penyangga yang lebih fleksible sehingga dapat mengikuti perubahan pipa tersebut,  sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa sistem perpipaan di proyek Tangguh Expansion Train - 3 tidak terjadi overstress dan aman untuk beroperasi.

Abstract

The strength of the weld is influenced by the arc voltage, the magnitude of the current, the speed of welding, the magnitude of the penetration and the electrical polarity. The determination of the magnitude of the current in metal grafting using arc welding affects the efficiency of the work and the weld material. Based on the existing problems, this research aims to determine the effect of low carbon steel welding current on tensile strength, toughness, hardness and micro structure to use SMAW with E7018 electrode using experimental research methodology using low alloy steel ASTM SA 516 gr 70 containing chemical element C = 0.16%, Si = 0.37%, Mn = 0.146%, S = 0.11%, Ni = 1%, Nb = 1%, Cr = 2%, Cu = 0.47%. Material welded with a variation of welding current 110 A, 130 A and 150 A using reverse polarity DC SMAW with E7018 electrode diameter of 3.2 mm. Specimens were tested for tensile strength, toughness, hardness and microstructure photographs with the highest tensile strength results in a variation of 130 A currents with an average of 546.83 MPa which increased by 21.77 MPa from raw materials. The highest yield strength at 130 A current variation with an average of 377.27 MPa which increased by 17.27 MPa from raw materials. The toughness in the highest welding area occurs in the 110 A current variation of an average of 1.85 Joule / mm2, it decreases 0.375% of the raw materials. The highest level of hardness occurs in the weld metal area with an average of 201.5 HVN of current variation of 150 A, this show in the micro structure of the grains are softer than the variations of other welding currents.

Abstract

On a project of building jack-up drilling rig CL15 done by PT.X and PT.Y, it uses standard bilge design of PT.X from existing jack-up drilling rig LL90 that has been ever done before. While the design of tanks and compartments CL15 is designed by PT.Y which has differences from the standard of PT.X there is also different rule to be applied . the LL90 uses France class (BV) while CL15 uses American class (ABS). By refering the rule of ABS and hydraulic system theory, the analysis is done covering design and operating capability of bilge system which is done maually so the changes that needs to be applied will be covered to prove that the design of LL90 can be used for CL15 under rule of ABS covering line design, pump capacity, velve selection. Abstract

The alloy steel that is widely used in the world of manufacturing industry is the type of tool steel because it has special characteristics and includes special steel. One type of tool steel that is widely used by the manufacturing industry is SKD steel type 61. ST 41 steel material is a low carbon steel with a carbon content of 0.08% -0.20%. ST 41 steel is commonly used as industrial machine component, but in this ST 41 steel is not as strong as steel SKD 61. So, to improve quality to ST 41 steel. Quality improvement can be done by heat treatment process. To obtain hardness requires the heating process, holding time, cooling medium, precise hardening temperature and see the material comparison between SKD 61 steel and ST 41 steel before and after the hardening process to the nature of hardness and microstructure. Result of hardness test of SKD 61 nonheattreatment steel material has hardness value equal to 197 HV, ST 41 nonheatreatment steel material has hardness value equal to 165 HV, after hardening for temperature 900⁰C has hardness value 154 HV, temperature 950⁰C has hardness value 152 HV, temperature 1000⁰C has 161 HV magnification value. Seen in the metallographic results appear to be a change in microstructure on ST 41 steel which after the hardening structure looks more dominant after the hardening structure turned into bainite-ferrit
