Abstract

This article aims to describe: (1) how the processing of library materials in the Library of SMAN 1 Painan South Coastal District, (2) what are the obstacles encountered in the processing of library materials in the Library of SMA N 1 Painan South Coastal District and (3) how problem solving encountered in the processing of library materials in the Library of SMAN 1 Painan South Coastal District. Data were collected through observation and interviews with librarians SMAN 1 Painan South Coastal District. Analyzing data descriptively. By analyzing the data, it was concluded matters as follows. First, the processing of library materials in the library SMAN 1 South Coastal District has not run with the maximum, because not all the implementation of activities such as, inventory of library materials, library materials classification, cataloging library materials, and the completion of the completeness of library materials. Second, the constraints encountered in the processing of library materials, namely: (1) is not maximal performance librarian, (2) lack of funds or the budgets allocated to libraries, (3) facilities and infrastructure are inadequate. Third, efforts were made so that the processing of library materials in the library SMAN 1 Painan South Coastal District goes well, namely: (1) improve the performance of librarians, (2) provide funding / budget for the library, (3) complement and provide facilities and infrastructure adequate. Abstract

In this paper discussed about how to manufacture traditional Minangkabau woven index in Adityawarman Museum collection. The aim of this paper is to help visitors and manager of museum to surf the information. In this paper described the stage of making traditional woven index collection in  Adityawarman Museum. The method used in this  paper is descriptive method done by direct observation and interviews with the manager of the museum. The observations were made by collecting and recording data from the woven collection at traditional  Adityawarman Museum. Based on direct observation of woven collection in Adityawarman Museum are 357 collections. Based on the discussion above, the researcher can concluded the stage of making traditional Minangkabau woven index are as follows: (1) screening a collection of Minangkabau traditional weaving; (2) create a description of the article that the collection of the name, place of origin collections made in, from the collection of woven materials, the inclusion of the collection, the size of weaving, as well as a collection of code and registration number that has been determined by the museum; (3)  provisions which comply with the rules of index typing; (4) Typing index woven collection.Keywords: Index, weave, Minangkabau, Museum Adityawarman.

Abstract

AbstractThis paper discusses the evaluation of the level of use of library collections in the Padang Panjang Library and Archives Service. The purpose of using this paper is: (1) to describe the compatibility of the use of collections in the Padang Panjang Municipal Library and Archives Service; (2) describe the frequency of use of the library collection; (3) describes the number of collections used by the library.The research method used in testing this final paper is descriptive method. Data collection is done through a process of observation and interviews.The discussion in this paper is calculated from January 2018 to June 2019. The first indicator is to describe the intensity of the use of collections. The number of collections described as a comparison for collections used. The number of collections purchased was 5,257 copies or 27.38% of the 19,197 collections available. And for unused collections, 13,940 copies or 72.62% of the total collection. Based on the number of uses of the collection, only ¼ collections are used and used by users. The second indicator is the frequency of use of collections which are described based on frequency graphs per class. The results of using the graph can be seen the level of usage of the collection per month. For the class with the most collections, the class is 800 with 2,246 copies and the lowest class is 700 with 97 copies. The last indicator is the number of collections used based on the criteria of the year published and the name of the publisher. For the year published from 2015 to 2018 the number of collections used was 1,270 while the publisher's name was approved 5,246 copies. Both of these criteria also oppose the level of use of collections in libraries because these collections are more often used and known by users. Keywords: Usability, collection, amount.

Abstract

This paper describes the process of catalog penuliasan student thesis by using Microsof Access at Bung Hatta University Library Padang. This study aimed to describe the process of cataloging and Industrial Engineering student thesis by using Microsof Access 2010 at the Bung Hatta University Library Padang. Data were collected through observation and direct observation during fieldwork prektek at Bung Hatta University Library Padang. Analyzing data descriptively. By analyzing the data, writing the catalog summed up as follows. 1) The process of making catalogs: a) call namber, b) the title of the thesis, c) description of the author, d) tension edition, e) imprensum, f) a physical description of the thesis or collation, 2) Making use of Microsof Student Thesis Catalog acces 2010. Abstract

This paper discusses archive management system using System Application And Products In Data Processing (SAP) in the Keuangan PT. Telkom Witel Sumbar. The purpose of this paper is (1) to describe how the records management system using SAP at the Keuangan PT. Telkom Witel Sumbar; (2) Describe any obstacles encountered in the process of using the SAP records management at the Keuangan PT. Telkom Witel Sumbar; (3) describe the efforts made to overcome the obstacles in the process of using the SAP records management at the Keuangan PT. Telkom Witel Sumbar.The method used in this study were collected through a literature review, observation, interviews, and direct observations at Keuangan PT. Telkom Witel Sumbar.Based on the contents of this paper, we can conclude the following: First, the archive storage system at the Keuangan PT. Telkom Witel Sumbar using System Application And Products In Data Processing (SAP) the application used in the management of financial records in order retrieval easier to search the archive. Second, obstacles encountered, namely: (1) the completeness of data entry and the deadline that requires discipline users; (2) is too cumbersome and slow to use; (3) operates on a single database. Third, efforts are being made to overcome the obstacles, namely: (1) the user should be professional and be more careful in managing the archive that will be at the entry to the SAP; (2) has a smart and qualified employees in order in records management using SAP is not slow and cumbersome to be used; (3) using an application that uses a database that can operate much more.Keywords: system applications; management; archival data

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to guide the implementation of archive management activities both archive management and dynamic archive management. Data were collected through observation, interview, and literature study. Data analysis was done by descriptive method. Based on the discussion, it can be concluded that the stages of making Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) of Archive Management in West Sumatera Provincial Office and Library are: a) to collect as much information as possible about the archive management process; B) conduct discussions to receive opinions and input from archivists; C) create a standard draft with the team; D) drill tests that have been made; E) if the SOP is deemed effective enough, then do the approval of the head of the field of coaching; F) using language that is easy to understand; G) identity creation; H) list supporting documents; I) list the date of creation and date of revision; And j) list the authorized officer.Keywords : Archive, Standard Operating Procedure.

Abstract

AbstractIn this paper, it is discussed about Making Library Promotion Videos in Imam Bonjol State Islamic University Library Padang. The purpose of this paper is to describe the stages of making library promotional videos at the Imam Bonjol State Islamic University Library in Padang. This type of research is qualitative with descriptive method. Data collected through observation and interviews with the Head of Imam Bonjol State Islamic University Library Padang. Based on analyzing the data it can be concluded that the steps in making a library promotion video are follows: First, preproduction is the initial stage before the video production process consists of the discovery of ideas which are the theme of production, synopsis, treatment which gives an overview of the production theme, storyboards that describe a series of events, shooting scripts as a guide in the field, production planning, and production preparation. Second, production to realize all the steps in the preproduction stage. Third, post-production is the final stage in video production before it’s ready to be presented.Keywords: videos, promotions, libraries

Abstract

The purposes of this study were are to explain about step of shrinkage inactive dynamic archives office regional parlements (DPRD) province West Sumatera and describe what are the obstacles faced in doing of shrinkage inactive dynamic archives office DPRD province West Sumatera. Technique of analyzing data is done by describing the interview, describing the results of direct observation, data has been obtained in accordance with the theory discussed, conclusions, and reporting. The results of this study were as are: (1) process shrinkage inactive dynamic archives at office DPRD has not done will, at affice DPRD doing  shrinkage with inventory; (2) the obstacles faced in doing of shrinkage inactive dynamic archives at office DPRD province West Sumatera are lack of expertis, the absence of records retention schedules, lack of infrastructure and the lack of budget funds are doing of shrinkage at office DPRD Province West Sumatera. Abstract

Writing this paper aims to describe: 1) Archive storage facilities, 2) Archive storage system, 3) obstacles and efforts in archive storage system in Koto XI Sub-Bereau Head Office of South Pesisir. The method used is descriptive method. Data collected through abservation and interview. The observation was done directly at Koto XI Sub-Bereau Head Office of South Pesisir.Based on the result of these studies can be summarized as follows. First, the archive storage facility in the Offcie of the Sub-District  Head Koto XI South Coast using archival storage boxes and filing cabinets. Secondly, the archive storage system at the South Coast Koto XI Sub-Dictrict Head Office uses an alphabetical storage system and uses chronological and systematic problems and storage systems or dates. Third, the obstacles and efforts encountered in the implementation of achival storage is less precise storage space, lack of professionals and archivists archive professionals in the Office of the Koto XI Sub-District Head South Coast Pusan.Keyword : archive, filling system, means of archiving, Filing system.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was: (1) describe the source of procurement of library materials in the Library of the Polytechnic of Agriculture Unand Payakumbuh, (2) describing the obstacles encountered Unand Payakumbuh Agricultural Polytechnic Library in the procurement of library materials and solutions. Sources of data were collected through direct interviews with librarians. The study's findings (1) Source of procurement of library materials in the Library of the Polytechnic University of Agriculture Andalas Payakumbuh of purchases and donations and graduate students of Higher Education, (2) the procurement of library materials library Unand Agricultural Polytechnic Payakumbuh not running properly visible from the lack of budgetary funds for the procurement of materials libraries, lack of attention led to the procurement of library materials, collection of old releases available.Keywords: acquisition; collection development
