Abstract

This article aims to describe: (1) how the processing of library materials in the UPT Library Kopertis Wilayah X , (2) what are the obstacles encountered in the processing of library materials in the UPT Library Kopertis Wilayah X (3) what are the efforts made in the processing of library materials in UPT Library Kopertis Wilayah X. the data were collected through direct observation and interviews with librarians in UPT Perpustakaan Kopertis Wilayah X. based on the analysis it can be concluded that the processing of library materials in the Library Kopertis Wilayah X has not been carried out to the maximum. It seen many collections are still scattered on the selves without the appropriate classification number. Constraints of processing library materials after the earthquake of 2009 are: (1) lack of librarians in perticular in the field of Library Science; (2) the lack of infrastructure in the activities of processing library materials. Efforts made in library materials processing activities are: (1) the addition of librarians who are experts in the field of Library Science; (2) provide a special room for library materials processing activities so as not to disturb other library activities; (3) providing complete equipment such as computers, barcode reader, and generator sets in lieu of electricity when a power failure so that library meterials processing activities are not interrupted.  Keywords: management, library materials

Abstract

In this paper discussed about Red Spinach Information Repackaging. Writing paper aims to describe Red Spinach Spinach Information Package with the aim to facilitate in retrieving information about Red Spinach found in Indonesia. The method of writing this paper is using descriptive method with data collection techniques of literature study. Based on analyzing the data, it can be concluded that Red Spinach Spinach from the leaves to the roots produces many benefits that have a function to maintain health as an enhancer of kidney work, cure various diseases and digestion. In the process of Red Spinach Spinach Information Package required stages as follows: (a) identification of user needs, (b) Collection of information and selection of information resources, (c) packing information, (d) determining audience goals, packaging forms, and making (F) determining the way and system of disseminating the ready-made information packing, (g) transferring the information in printed form, (h) determining the strategy for finding the types of information sources that can help find the information needed, Distribute, disseminate, disseminate, market the packaging of information by means of promotion and user education. Abstract

AbstractThis paper discusses a 30-minute reading activity together with SD Negeri 01 Batu Payuang, Lima Puluh Kota, to improve student literacy. paper writing aims to describe; 1) the implementation of the 30-minute reading together with the habituation stage, 2) the implementation of the 30-minute reading together with the development stage, 3) the implementation of the 30-minute reading together with the learning stages. Data were collected through observation and interviews with teachers and principals in SD Negeri 01 Batu Payuang, Lima Puluh Kota. Analyzing data is done descriptively.Based on the description in the previous chapter, it can be concluded as follows. The effort of reading 30 minutes together with SD Negeri 01 Batu Payuang, Lima Puluh Kota, has improved the students' literacy quite well. First, the implementation of the 30-minute reading activity along with the refraction stage including, the reading activity 15 minutes before learning and selecting reading books in schools has been carried out well while the activities of arranging facilities and a literacy-rich environment, creating a text-rich environment, and public engagement have not been carried out properly. Second, the implementation of the 30-minute reading activity together with the development phase including, the steps of reading at the development stage, the activities of discussing stories, and the use of libraries and reading corners in schools have been carried out properly in accordance with existing guidelines, while the activities of selecting fiction and nonfiction enrichment books, non-academic assessment at the development stage, appreciating the achievements of student literacy and the formation of the School Litersi Team has not been carried out well but some of these activities are in accordance with the applicable literacy guidelines. Third, the implementation of a 30-minute reading activity together with the learning phase including, among other things, reading activities, responding to reading activities, rewriting the contents of the story carried out in accordance with predetermined guidelines, but academic assessment activities at the learning stage are still not carried out according to predetermined guidelines. As well as the impact of the implementation of the 30-minute reading together activities including positive impacts, graduates are accepted at the Faforit and Junior High Schools and enhance student learning. The negative impact is the need for parents in fulfilling reading material for students, creating a boring atmosphere and making the eyes tired for students who are not accustomed to, for parents literacy activities can waste learning time, and sometimes takes time teaching and learning process in the classroom. Third, the constraints experienced are lack of literacy facilities and understanding of teachers and school staff towards literacy activities.Keywords: literacy, program, GLS.

Abstract

The purposes of this study were (1) describe the arrangement of the system of inactive records used in the Regional Employment Board of Padang Pariaman district, and (2) describe the constraints faced  when structuring inactive records in the Regional Employment Board of Padang Pariaman district. with the theory discussed, conclusions, and reporting. The results of this study were as follows: (1) the system records the arrangement inactive in District Employment Agency in Padang  Pariaman still jumbled arrangement and structuring procedure is less effective that its archives are still frequent difficulties in the retrieval process. Systems should be applied in accordance with the arrangement of archival science and  providing training for existing archivists; (2) the constraints faced by the frequent occurrence of accumulation of inactive records in the Regional Employment Board of Padang Pariaman District, and the lack of awareness about the importance of the archive. Meanwhile, the lack of attention from the technical implementation will make the situation more chaotic because the archive files are not managed in accordance  with procedures. Has not  been running properly so finding constraints in retrieval. Keywords: records; inactive records

Abstract

The aims of this research are (1) making Solok tourist object directory in West Sumatera amounted to 203 tourist objects and that author can get about 21 tourist objects consisting of some districtsthat located in Solok, this matter is caused by the limited time, a long distant location and cost a lot of money, (2) the way in generating the directory is collecting data, record data, focus on ideas, create a book framework, determine subject, classification or grouping and directory preparation, (3) the constraints in making location plan. The efforts of writing to overcome obstacles in making directories is making the best possible location plan so that the users ofinformation are simplified to find the tourist object they want to visit.Keywords: Tourist object, directory

Abstract

This paper contains an annotated bibliography by subject manufacture medicine using the Microsoft Access at Libraries Kopertis Region X. This study aimed to describe the process of making medical subjects annotated bibliography using Microsoft Access 2007 in the Library Kopertis Region X Padang. Data were collected through observation and direct observation in the Library Kopertis Region X. Analyzing the data be descriptive. Based on data analysis, creation of bibliographic summarized as. (1) Specifies the title of the bibliography is based on information requested by library visitors, (2) collection reading materials by direct collection, (3) selection reading materials with form of monographs, (4) classification grouped based DDC. (5) typing the manuscript bibliography can be helped using Microsoft Access program, (6) index creation can use Microsoft Access program, (7) create keywords create by using the language of the medical dictionary, and (8) checks script.

Abstract

The purpose of this paper to describe the maintenance and care of archive in the Library Archives and Documentation Office of Pesisir Selatan and the obstacles encountered in the maintenance and care of archive in the Library Archives and Documentation Office of the South Coastal District and what efforts were made ​​in the maintenance and care of static archive in office of Library Archives and Documentation Pesisir Selatan. Method in this study uses descriptive method, to obtain the data the authors conducted observations and interviews. The object to be studied is the maintenance and care of archive in the Library Archives and Documentation Office of the Pesisir Selatan. Based on the results of this study concluded that the maintenance and care of the static archive in the Office of Archives and Documentation Library Pesisir Selatan has not done well because it is still using the traditional maintenance process.   Keywords: maintenance of archives;  archival

Abstract

AbstractIn this paper, we will discuss about directory of Bayang Sulaman in South Pesisir regency. The purpose of the paper is to describe the process of making Bayang Sulaman in South Pesisir regency. This is done to make us easier to find information about collective motive Bayang Sulaman that we can find in Barung-Barung Belantai Koto XI district South Pesisir regency. We us describtive methodoly which is done by doing observasion, interview and collecting the data from the real source.Based on data analysis we can conclude that the items of making Bayang Sulaman in Pesisir Selatan district are: (1) The name of the product, (2) The name of Bayang Sulaman Motive, (3) The characteristic of Bayang Sulaman, (4) The material which is used in Bayang Sulaman, (5) The aids which is used in making Bayang Sulaman, (6)Adress of Sulaman Bayang, (7) the price of Bayang Sulaman, (8) the photo collection of Bayang Sulaman. The making of Bayang Sulaman is Started by: (1) collection the data, (2) typing the Data in  Microsoft Word, (3) arrange the Data collection of Bayang Sulaman. The are some problems in making Bayang Sulaman Directory: (1) In the manufacture of Sulaman Bayang products, (2) The name of the motif is Sulaman Bayang, the writer found that  there were Indonesia and Minang languangages(Regional lengaguage). So to solve that problem, there are several thing that should be done: (1) making this Sulaman Bayang product, the writer must be able to set the time for this Sulaman Bayang product, and short the authors Sulaman Bayang motif name requires accuracy.  (2) if the name or of the motif uses Minang language (regional languange) in accord with the name of the motif made by owner of the Sulaman Baayang shop. Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this research is to describe the activity in the Representative of Sumatera Barat about : (1) the source of inactive archives; (2) the archives which include into inactive one; (3) the record system of inactive archives; and (4) if the inactive archives has been reduce or not. The data was collected through observation and interview. Data analisys was processed by descriptive technique. Based on data analisys, it can be conclude that. First, the source of inactive archives that been put into storage comes from the meeting of the Representative. Second, there are only two kinds of inactive archives, specific archives and special archives. Third, the record system that used by the Representative of Sumatera Barat is the chronological system. Abstract

This article discusses how to use the sheet area in Library West Sumatra Provincial Governor's Office and the constraints in the use of the sheet area in the Library Office of the Governor of West Sumatra Province. Based on the discussion concluded, namely: (1) Use of the sheet area in Library West Sumatra Governor's Office used according to the circumstances and needs of the parties concerned. In terms of utilization of the area as a reference sheet, as consideration, for comparison, as a decision maker, as a report and as research materials that are interrelated with each other in local government activities. (2) Constraints in the use of the area as a reference sheet, material considerations, comparative material, material decision makers, material reports, and research materials, ie the number of collection areas missing sheets, lack of human resources to manage the library, not a collection of neat cause difficult to obtain information, a lack of infrastructure such as rack collection, much of the data has not been compiled into a computer causes people not able to access all areas of government policy issued in one year.
