Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this research was to describe things as follow. First, describes the writing skills of the exposition text of grade VIII Junior High School 31 Padang before using the discovery learning model. Secondly, describes the writing skills of the exposition text of grade VIII Junior High School 31 Padang after using the discovery learning model. Third, analyze the effect of discovery learning models on the exposition writing skills of grade VIII studensts of Junior High School 31 Padang. The type of this research is quantitative research using experimental methods Based on the results of the study, can be concluded three things as follows. First, the writing skills of the exposition text of  grade VIII students of Junior High School 31 Padang before using discovery learning model are in fair qualifications (61,59). Secondly, the writing skills of exposition text of grade VIII students of Junior High School 31 Padang after using discovery learning model are in good qualifications (78,26). Third, there is a significant influence in the use of discovery learning models on the exposition writing skills of grade VIII students of Junior High School 31 Padang, so it can be concluded that H1 is accepted in H0 is rejected because the test results prove that tcount is greater than ttable (2,04>1,70). Kata Kunci: Pengaruh, Model Discovery Learning, Menulis Teks Eksposisi

Abstract

ABSTRACT  This article was written to describe the correlation of reading comprehension and writing a exposition text seventh grade students of SMA Negeri 3 Padang. Tipe of this research is quantitative research with descriptive method and used a correlational research schema. The population and sample of this research is the seventh grade students of SMA Negeri 3 Padang in the year of 2019/2020. The sample of this research is 40 students. The sampling technique used is random sampling. From this research, it can be concluded that there is significant correlation between reading comprehention with writing exposition text seventh grade students of SMA Negeri 3 Padang by freedom degree n-1 with significants rate 95% and tobservation  is bigger than ttabel that is 3,78 > 1,68. It means, the students who have a higher ability in reading comprehension so they also have a good ability in write a exposition text. In contrast, if their ability in reading comprehension is low, their ability in write a exposition text is too low.  Kata Kunci: Hubungan, Keterampilan, Membaca, Menulis, Teks Eksposisi

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to describe how the practicality of teaching materials for interviewing skills based on the model of imitation techniques in light entertainment type speech titles used by Indonesian Language Study Program students. This type of research is research and development. Research and development methods are research methods used to produce certain products and obtain the effectiveness of these products. The development model used is a 4-D model (define, design, develop, and disseminate). The type of data in this study is quantitative data. Quantitative data were obtained from the results of questionnaire practicality of teaching materials by lecturers and students. This research was conducted in the rhetoric class in July-December 2019 Indonesian Language Education study program, Faculty of Language and Art, Padang State University. The practicality of teaching materials is assessed from four aspects, namely presentation, ease of use, readability, and time spent. The results of this study indicate that teaching materials produced are categorized as practical. This practicality is seen from the practicality values obtained from lecturers 'and students' assessments. The practicality value of the lecturers is 88.89% with a very practical category. The practicality value of students is 82.64% with a very practical category. Based on this, the teaching materials for interviewing skills based on model copying techniques in the light entertainment type of speech degree have direct implications for the learning of interviewing skills. Kata Kunci: Praktikalitas, Materi Ajar, Keterampilan Berwawancara

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study is three. First, it describes the writing skills of the description text of grade VII students of SMP Negeri 25 Padang. Second, describe the reading comprehension skills of the VII grade students of SMP Negeri 25 Padang. Third, analyze the correlation between reading comprehension and description text skills with the writing skills of the VII grade students of SMP Negeri 25 Padang. This type of research is quantitative research with descriptive methods. The design (design) in this study is correlational. By using simple random sampling technique, the sample in this study amounted to 48 students. The research instrument was an objective test to measure comprehension reading skills and performance tests to measure description writing skills. The conclusion of this research is thirteen. First, the description writing skills of grade VII students of SMP Negeri 25 Padang are in good qualifications. Second, reading comprehension text skills of the seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 25 Padang are in good qualifications. Third, there is a significant relationship between reading comprehension text description skills and writing text description of students in grade VII of SMP Negeri 25 Padang at n-1 degrees of freedom and a significant level of 95%. H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted because the test results prove that the value is greater than t table (2,468> 1.68). Kata Kunci : Korelasi, Kemampuan Membaca Pemahaman, Keterampilan Menulis Teks Deskripsi

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of the research is to describe the reading skills of students' news text comprehension, Second, to describe the skills of writing news texts of students, third, to describe the correlation of reading comprehension of news texts with news writing skills of students of class VIII at SMP Negeri 9 Padang. The population of this research is VIII grade students of SMP Negeri 9 Padang in the 2019/2020 school year, which is 245 students. The sample in this study was determined by proportional random sampling 25% of 49 students. The research data scores the results of reading text comprehension test scores and the scores of news text writing skills scores. The research instrument is an objective test for reading text comprehension skills and performance tests for news text writing skills. Research Results First, the reading skills of understanding the news text of good qualifying students (B). Second, the skills of writing news texts of good qualifying students (B). Third, there is a correlation between reading comprehension and news writing skills with news writing skills of VIII grade students of SMP Negeri 9 Padang with degrees of freedom n-1 at 95% confidence level. T value (5.55) is greater than t table (1.68), i.e. titung> ttabel (5.55> 1.68) thus H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted because the test results prove that tcount is greater than t table. It can be concluded that reading text comprehension skills are correlated with news text writing skills. Kata Kunci: Korelasi, Membaca Pemahaman, Teks Berita

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to describe (1) planning of learning Indonesian language in the implementation of 2013 Curriculum in SMA Negeri 7 Padang (2) implementing Indonesian learning in implementing 2013 Curriculum in SMA 7 Padang, and (3) evaluating Indonesian learning in implementing 2013 Curriculum at Padang 7 High School. This type of research is a qualitative research with descriptive methods. This research was carried out in Padang 7 High School. The data in this study are the results of data collection by utilizing guidelines for observation, interviews, and documentation about planning, implementing, and evaluating learning conducted by Indonesian language teachers in SMA Negeri 7 Padang obtained from data sources. The techniques used in the research are observation, interviews, and documentation studies. Techniques used to analyze data are data identification, data presentation, and drawing conclusions.Based on the research findings and research results, the following three things can be concluded. (1) Learning planning in the form of RPP made by Indonesian language teachers in SMA Negeri 7 Padang is mostly in accordance with the principles of RPP preparation contained in Permendikbud Number 22 of 2016 concerning the Process of Primary and Secondary Education. (2) The implementation of Indonesian language learning in SMA Negeri 7 Padang has been carried out with a scientific approach. (3) Assessment in Indonesian language learning at SMA Negeri 7 Padang is carried out with authentic assessment, which includes an assessment of the process and an assessment of results. Teacher 1 and teacher 2 of Indonesian subjects have carried out attitude aspect assessments by observation and journals, knowledge assessment by written tests and assignments and skills assessment by practice / performance, project and product assessments. Kata Kunci: Implementasi, Kurikulum 2013, Mata Pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this research was to describe things as follows. First, describes the skills of reading appreciative grade XI Senior High School 2 Padang. Second, it describes the writing skills text cerpen grade XI Senior High School 2 Padang. Third, explain the relationship between the reading appreciative with writing skill text cerpen grade XI Senior High School 2 Padang. This type of research correlation between appreciative reading skills and writing skills text cerpen of grade XI Senior High School 2 Padang is quantitative research with descriptive methods. Based on the reslt of the study, the following three things concluded. First, the appreciative reading skills of grade XI Senior High School 2 Padang are in good qualification (81,32). Second, the writing skills text cerpen on grade XI Senior High school 2 Padang are in good qalification (82.24). Third, there is a significant correlation between appreciative reading skills and writing skills text cerpen of grade XI Senior High School 2 Padang at n-1 degress freedom and a sicnificant level of 95%. Kata Kunci: korelasi, membaca apresiatif, menulis teks cerpen

Abstract

ABSTRACT  This study aims to (1) describe the structure of the report text observation of the work of class VII SMP Negeri 12 Solok Selatan (2) illustrates the linguistic characteristics of the observation report text by class VII SMP Negeri 12 Solok Selatan. The results of this study are as follows. First, in writing the report text of observations of Grade VII students of class VII SMP Negeri 12 Solok Selatan, they have used the three text structures of the observation report results. The structure of the report's observational text is a general definition, section description, and description of benefits. This is evident from the 20 observational report texts that have been analyzed throughout the observation report text of class VII SMP Negeri 12 Solok Selatan complete using general definitions, section descriptions, and benefits descriptions. Second, in writing the report text of observations generally in class VII SMP Negeri 12 Solok Selatan have used the four text structures of the observation report. The Fourth linguistic characteristics of the text of the observation report are repetition, pronoun, conjunction, and description sentences. This is evident from the 20 text reports on observations that have been analyzed, there are 16 text reports on observations that are complete using the linguistic characteristics of repetition, pronouns, conjunctions, and sentence definitions.
