Abstract

ABSTRACT This article has written the contribution of appreciative reading skills in fairy tale texts to the skills of producing short story text in class VII students of SMP 26 Padang. This research is quantitative research using descriptive methods and contribution research designs. The research data is a score of appreciative short story text reading skills and short story text test scores. Data is obtained through two types of tests, namely objective tests that use short story texts that write. Based on the results of data analysis and discussion, the researcher concluded the following three things; first, the average score of appreciative reading skills reads short story texts of students in class VII Padang 26 Junior High School in good qualification (82.01). Second, the average score of short story text students who write students in class VII of Padang 26 Junior High School is in good qualification (79.17). Third, there is a significant contribution between the ability to read short story texts that are appreciative of students who write short story text students in class VII of Padang 26 Junior High School as much as 84.82%. Kata Kunci: kontribusi, kemampuan, membaca apresiatif, menulis, teks cerpen

Abstract

ABSTRACT Research purposes. First, describe students' reading comprehension skills. Second, describe the skills of writing Description text. Third, describe the correlation between reading comprehension skills and text writing skills Description of Grade VII students of the UNP Laboratory Development Middle School. This type of quantitative research is a correlational method. The study design was correlational two variables. The research population of VII grade students of SMP UNP Laboratory Development registered in the academic year 2019/2020 total 142 students in five classes. The sample in the study was 37 people. Samples were taken by simple 25% random technique using proportional random sampling technique. The research instruments were performance tests, description writing text tests and objective reading comprehension skills tests. Conclusion. First, students' reading comprehension skills are in good qualifications (78.98). Second, the students' written text description skills are in good qualifications (83,12). Third, reading comprehension skills correlate with text writing skills Description of VII graders of SMP UNP Laboratory Development with degrees of freedom n-2 at 95% confidence level. T value is greater than t table that is 2.637> 1.68, thus H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted because the test results prove that t count is greater than t table. the conclusion "There is a correlation between reading comprehension skills and writing skills text. Description of Grade VII students of SMP UNP Laboratory Development" was accepted. Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this research is to describe the wrong type of phrases in the short story text, describe the causes of phrase errors in the short story text, describe the pattern of revision of the short story text written by student of 11th grade SMKN 1 Padang Panjang. This type of research is a qualitative research with descriptive methods. The instrument of this research is the research itself. This research data is in the wrong phrase. The data source of this research is a short story text written by a student of 11th grade SMKN 1 Padang Panjang. The research data was collected using documentation. Based on the results of the study obtained data as follows. First, the wrong type of phrase in the students' short story text. The wrong type of phrases in the short story texts of students in this study are endocentric phrases and exocentric phrases. Second, the cause of phrase errors in the students' short story text in the form of front-word phrases, mismanagement, wrong due to excessive, the addition of certain words to phrases whose elements are inseparable, and the omission of certain words that connect parts of phrases. third, the pattern of revising the short story text by selecting the language corpus, recognizing errors in the corpus, classifying errors, explaining errors, and evaluating errors.  Kata kunci: Frasa, Kualitatif, Teks Cerita Pendek

Abstract

ABSTRACT The Characteristics of Structure and Language News Texts of Class VIII Students of  Junior High School  Number 12 Padang. Thesis: Indonesian Language Study Program, Indonesian Language and Literature Department, Faculty of Language and Art,  Universitas Negeri Padang. This research is motivated by many facts found in the field that the obstacles faced by teachers and students in implementing teaching news writing skills. Many students complain the difficulties starting their writing. In addition, the provision of facilities and the application of less creative teaching methods were the main obstacles encountered. This results in boredom in students when assigned to write a news. In fact, the use of an interesting method is one way that can be done to motivate students' interests to write and develop their reasoning. This was found at  Junior High School  Number 12 Padang. Indonesian language teacher at  Junior High School  Number 12 Padang, Afdawati, S.Pd., revealed the problem in a pre-research interview on January 23, 2019. This study illustrates abouth the ability of students of class VIII  Junior High School  Number 12 Padang in understanding and making news texts. Kata Kunci: bahasa Indonesia, pembelajaran, teks berita

Abstract

ABSTRACT  This study aims to (1) describe the structure of the report text observation of the work of class VII SMP Negeri 12 Solok Selatan (2) illustrates the linguistic characteristics of the observation report text by class VII SMP Negeri 12 Solok Selatan. The results of this study are as follows. First, in writing the report text of observations of Grade VII students of class VII SMP Negeri 12 Solok Selatan, they have used the three text structures of the observation report results. The structure of the report's observational text is a general definition, section description, and description of benefits. This is evident from the 20 observational report texts that have been analyzed throughout the observation report text of class VII SMP Negeri 12 Solok Selatan complete using general definitions, section descriptions, and benefits descriptions. Second, in writing the report text of observations generally in class VII SMP Negeri 12 Solok Selatan have used the four text structures of the observation report. The Fourth linguistic characteristics of the text of the observation report are repetition, pronoun, conjunction, and description sentences. This is evident from the 20 text reports on observations that have been analyzed, there are 16 text reports on observations that are complete using the linguistic characteristics of repetition, pronouns, conjunctions, and sentence definitions. Abstract

ABSTRACT This is article of research is to description the effects of the using the model of problem based learning towards the skills of writing a text eksposition of the seventh grade students at SMP Negeri 31 Padang. The method used is this research is quasy experiment method. Based on the results of data analysis it was concluded the following three points. First, the skills of writing a text exposition of students of class VII SMP Negeri 31 Padang without using model of problem based learningis located on qualifications is enough (62,38). Second, the skills of writing a text exposition of students of class VII SMP Negeri 31 Padang using model of problem based learning is located on qualifications is good (78,25). Third, based on the result of test-t, there is effects of model of problem based learning towards the skills of writing a text exposition of students of class VII SMP Negeri 31 Padang because taritmatic> t table. Kata kunci : effects, model PBL, text eksposition

Abstract

Abstract This research aims to (1) describe grade ability to understand short story text of students class VII SMP Negeri 3 Payakumbuh before application cooperative learning NHT type, (2) describe grade ability to understand short story text of students class VII SMP Negeri 3 Payakumbuh after application cooperative learning NHT type, (3) describe the effect of the use of cooperative learning NHT type, toward students’ ability to understand short story text of students class VII SMP Negeri 3 Payakumbuh. The type of this research is quantitative research done using experimental design. There are three results of the research are (1) the students’ ability to understand short story text before application cooperative learning  NHT type at class VII SMP Negeri 3 Payakumbuh is more fairly and grades C with average 63,08, (2) the students’ ability in to understand short story text before application cooperative learning NHT type at class VII SMP Negeri 3 Payakumbuh is good and grades B with average 76,00, and (3) based on t-test, alternative hypothesis (H­1) is gained at the significant phase 95% and degrees of freedom (df)=(n-1) because tcount> t-table (7,83>1,70). Kata kunci : pengaruh, kooperatif, numbered head together (NHT), dan cerita pendek

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis article was written to describe the correlation of reading comprehension skill with the skill of writing the text of the result of observation of the tenth grade students of SMK Negeri 2 Lubuk Basung. This research is a quantitative research with descriptive method. The sample in this study amounted to 40 people. The data of this research is the result score skill test reading comprehension and the result score skill test of writing the text of the result of observation. Based on data analysis and discussion, the following three things are obtained. First, the skill of reading comprehension of the tenth grade students of SMK Negeri 2 Lubuk Basung is in very good qualification  (88,42). Second, the skill of writting the text of the result of observation of the tenth grade students of SMK Negeri 2 Lubuk Basung is in good qualification (82,50). Third, there is correlation of reading comprehension skill with the skill of writing the text of the result of observation of the tenth grade students of SMK Negeri 2 Lubuk Basung because tcount>ttable(2,13>1,68). Kata kunci: korelasi, membaca pemahaman, menulis, teks laporan hasil observasi

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to describe the skills of reading comprehension news eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 7 Padang, news writing skills class VIII SMP Negeri 7 Padang, and the relationship between the reading comprehension skills of news with news writing skills class VIII SMP Negeri 7 Padang. This research data is the result of the test scores of news writing skills using descriptive methods. Data were collected through performance tests. The results of this study are the skills of reading comprehension news eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 7 Padang are in good qualifying (81.58), news writing skills class VIII SMP Negeri 7 Padang are in good qualifying (80.14), and there is a relationship reading skills understanding of news with news writing skills class VIII SMP Negeri 7 Padang at significant level of 95%with degrees of freedom (n -1), which tvalue > ttable (12.57> 1.68). Ho refused and H1 accepted because the hypothesis testing results prove that tvalue bigger than ttable. Kata kunci: hubungan, membaca pemahaman, keterampilan, menulis berita

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research aims to (1) describe grade ability in writing one act plays of students class VIII SMP Negeri 10 Padang without application cooperative learning TPS type, (2) describe grade ability in writing one act plays of students class VIII SMP Negeri 10 Padang  with application cooperative learning TPS type, (3) describe the effect of the use of cooperative learning TPS type, toward students’ ability in writing one act plays of students class VIII SMP Negeri 10 Padang . The type of this research is quantitative research done using experimental design. There are three results of the research are (1) the students’ ability in writing one act plays without application cooperative learning TPS type at class VIII SMP Negeri 10 Padang  is more fairly and grades LdC with average 74,51, (2) the students’ ability in writing one act plays with application cooperative learning TPS type at class VIII SMP Negeri 10 Padang is good and grades B with average 83,67, and (3) based on t-test, alternative hypothesis (H1) is gained at the significant phase 95% and degrees of freedom (df) = (n1+n2)-2 because tcount> t-table (4,10>1,70). Kata kunci : pengaruh, kooperatif, think pair share (TPS), dan naskah drama
