Abstract

This article aims to (1) profiles that reflect the character of prominent educators educators associated with the responsibilities of the novel Burlian the work of Tere Liye, (2) profile that reflects the character of prominent educators educators associated with care for the environment in a novel Burlian the work of Tere Liye, (3) profiles that reflect the character of prominent educators educators relating to social care in the Novel Burlian the work of Tere Liye, (4) profile that reflects the character of prominent educators educators relating to honest in the  Novel Burlian the work of Tere Liye. Data collected by: (1) read the novel Burlian, (2) conducted a study of the literature, this step is performed to obtain library materials referenced in discussing Burlian novel or as a guide for researchers, and (3) data on the profile inventory educators be held responsibility, environmental care, social care and honest in the novel Burlian the work of Tere Liye. The study's findings are prominent educators who reflect the character of responsibility, care for the environment, social care, and honesty. Abstract

This study  aimed to determine the structure and social function of folklore legend naming Batunabontar Batang Natal district Mandailing Natal district. The method used in this research was descriptive method. The data source of this research was the people who inhabit Batunabontar village, Batang Natal District, Mandailing Natal District. The instrument used in this study was the researcher himself and the informant based on the understanding of the structure and social function of the naming legend of a place. Data collection techniques used in this study were observation by observation and to strengthen the data obtained, direct interviews were carried out to the authorities in research on the Social Structure and Function of the Legend of the Naming of Batunabontar Village, Batang Natal District, Mandailing Natal District. The results of this study indicate that the Social Structure and Function of Naming Legend of Batunabontar Village, Batang Natal District, Mandailing Natal District has a unique history and structure and function in the village. The uniqueness of this Batunabontar makes the writer want to know the importance of the structure and function of the Batunabontar in Batang Natal District, Mandailing Natal Regency.

Abstract

This article was written to describe the language, form, meaning, and function of the jargon used by the user community facebook chat with students Padang State University. The file of this study in the form of jargonfacebook chat user community among students Padang State University. The file source of this research is a conversation and dialogue among students and research as a communication interaction. File collected using the method and technique refer to note as advanced technique. The finding of the study first, jargon language used by the user community facebook chat among Padang State University students as seen from the use of language is considered the jargon Indonesian, English, and the Joint Indonesian and English. Second, the form it can be divided into abbreviations, acronyms, and phrases. Third, the meaning of jargon that is formed is not the true meaning of meaning connotations. Fourth, facebook chat user community using jargon that serves as a tool for communication in the familiar, sarcastic and streamline communication.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the form of social class, the causes of social class conflict, and the impact of social class conflict in novel Orang-orang Pulau by Giyan. Data in this research are sentences, direct speeches of characters and author narratives that can be interpreted as social class. Source of data in this research is novel Orang-orang Pulau by Giyan which published for the first time by Beranda in December 2013. This research is a qualitative research and using descriptive analysis method. Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that the social indicators in novel Orang-orang Pulau by Giyan are: (1) the form of social class, it can be seen in terms of economi, ie upper class, middle class, lower class. In terms of social status, ie upper class, middle class, lower class. And in terms of political status, ie upper class, middle class, and lower class; (2) the causes of social class conflict because of social change, there are differences in cultural patterns, and there are differences in social status that leads to rebellion between upper and lower classes; And (3) the impact of social class conflict, ie strengthened sense of solidarity group, the destruction of groups, loss of property and human sacrifice, the destruction of existing values and social norms, and the change of individual personality.Keywords: social class, conflict, and the causes of conflict

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the morality of the characters in the novel Angels-Angels Heaven works Tere Liye. Morality is described that relate to conscience, freedom and responsibility, values ​​and norms, as well as the rights and obligations of the characters in the novel. To determine morality contained in the novel then used the following research questions: How moralitastokoh-figure-terdapatvdalam novel Angel Angel Heaven Tere Liye work, in terms of morality, namely: conscience, freedom and responsibility, values ​​and norms, as well as the rights and obligation This type of research is qualitatively using descriptive content analysis (content analysis). This method is used to see and describe the existing data in novel Angel Angel-Heaven Work Tere Liye which decomposes in the form of words rather than in the form of numbers. In the data collection was done in three steps: read and understand the novel Angel-Angel Heaven TereLiye work, mark events and figures behavioral symptoms that lead to focused research, and inventory data by using the format of the data inventory. Results of  this study  showed that the novel Angel Angel Heaven-there character who has  morality associated with (1) conscience, which is reflected by the figures, namely: Laisa figures, figures Dalimunte, Ikanuri figures, figures Wibisana, Yashinta figures; (2) freedom and responsibility, reflected by the figures, namely: laisa figures, figures Dalimunte, Mamak Lainuri figures, and figure Burhan Wak, (3) values ​​and  norms, reflected by the figures, namely: Ikanuri figures, figures Wibisana; (4 ) the rights and obligations reflected by figures, namely: Laisa figures, figures mamak Lainuri.

Abstract

The research was conducted aimed at analyzing the utilization of the locality of figure of speeches in a collection of poems entitled Lelaki and Tangkai Sapu written by Iyut Fitra. In addition, with the existence of this research, it can be seen the purpose of the poet using the locality assembly in his collection of poems, namely as a form of satire and introducing locality in his culture. In this study, used a type of qualitative research with descriptive methods. The majors of locality used by the poet in this collection of poems are as many as ten majas, namely (1) the comparison of metaphors of locality, (2) comparison of simile locality, (3) comparison of personification of locality, (4) comparison of metonymy locality, (5 ) the comparison of the antonomasia of locality, (6) the insinuation of the irony of locality, (7) the insinuation of locality allegory, (8) the insinuation of locality parables, (9) the insinuation of locality cynicism, and (10) majas satire locality. Abstract

The research was done because of the heterogeneous of Indonesian society which create the varieties of language insed in daily life. It is known as jargon. Let’s see the jargon used by plant sellers in Lubuk Minturun subdistrict Koto Tangah Padang, West Sumatera in their daily activities, especially in doing transaction of trading. They have special vocabularies called jargon. The purpose of this research is (1) to describe the form jargon used by plant sellers in Lubuk Minturun sub district Koto Tangah Padang West Sumatera. (2) To describe the meaning of jargon used by plant sellers in Lubuk Minturun subdistrict Koto Tangah Padang, West Sumatera. This research is a qualitative research that produces a descriptive data. It means the data analyzed and the result of the analysis is in a descriptive form, not in form of numeral of the efficiency of the relationship between variables. In this research, the data was taken from the daily conversation among the plant sellers in Lubuk Minturun by using listen method (record based technique). Based on the research about jargon in the trading transaction among the plant sellers in Lubuk Minturun sub district Koto Tangah Padang, West Sumatera, jargon can be classified into form and meaning. (1) Form, it can be words, phrases, or clauses. The word in jargon can be verbs, nouns, or adjectives. Phrases in jargon can be verb phrases, noun phrases, or adjective phrases. (2) Meaning, it has the lexical meaning and contextual meaning.Keywords : Jargon, Sellers, Plant, Trading transaction, Lubuk Minturun.

Abstract

Purpose of this study is describe and analyze the dynamics of personality contained within the novel Aku Bukan Budak work Astina Triutami. The data of this study is prominent personalities including traced by the elements characterizations. The data source of this research is novel Aku Bukan Budak work Astina Triutami published by Libri Publishing in 2011. Data collected by reading the novel while marking related elements and invetarisasi data with the data format. The study's findings are Astina character has a strong personality, smiling, friendly, helpful, even stubborn. Personality conflicts experienced in the form of (1) voltage (behavior that consciously or unconsciously), (2) needs (or physical affection), (3) anxiety (anxiety or fear that something will happen, (4) energytransformations (behavior that is open or closed).

Abstract

This study aims to describe and explain the value of aqidah, syariah values, and moral values depicted in the speech of a character or character behavior in the novel Assalamualaikum Beijing by Asma Nadia. This research type is qualitative research with descriptive method. Data collection is done through (1) reading and marking the events and speeches of characters or characters in the novel Assalamualaikum Beijing by Asma Nadia, in order to get a clear picture of the content of the novel to be studied; (2) marking the novel part that will be the focus of research that is the value of aqidah, syariah value, and moral value; (3) to record data on Islamic values contained in the novel by looking at issues that appear through the speech of a character or behavior of a story character in a data recording format; (4) inventory data using data inventory format. Based on the results of the study concluded, the following points. The Islamic values in Asma Nadia's novel Assalamualaikum Beijing are (1) the value of faith that can be seen from the actions and behaviors of the character: faith in God, faith in God's book, faith in the last day, and faith in Qada and Qadar (destiny); (2) the value of sharia is like the sentence shahada, pray, pray, dzikir, dress, and marriage; (3) moral values such as morality to God that is grateful and morals towards each other is divided into (a) morals to the self that is patient, sincere, and self-guard; (b) morals to the family that is doing good to the parents, and educating children; (c) morals to others is to say hello.Keywords: islamic values, Assalamualaikum Beijing

Abstract

This article was written based on (1) to describe fonem vocal, consonant, semivocal, diphthongs, (2) distribution of vocals, consonants, semivocal and diphthongs, (3) form syllables of Minangkabau in Padang Laweh. The method used in this research was descriptive method. It is the method that used to describe something in objective situation. The data were collected used pancing technique that has good purpose to a researcher to do it again that the language never studied before in short time to describe collections fact. The finding of this  research were Minangkabau language in Padang Laweh has 5 complete distribusy vocal, 14 incomplete consonants, 2 complete distribusi semivocal, 7 incomplete distribution diphthongs and 4 syllables.
