Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the application of the RICE method in the first aid treatment of sports injuries at the Karawang Roller Skate Club. The research method used is qualitative with a discrepancy evaluation approach, which compares standard injury treatment procedures with actual implementation in the field. Data was obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation from 12 informants consisting of coaches, athletes, and officials. The results showed that several aspects, such as the use of bandages (100%), ice compression for 15–20 minutes (100%), and follow-up injury evaluation (100%) had been implemented well. However, several significant gaps were found, such as compression duration for 48 hours (42%), elevation of the injured area (67%), and the availability of ice boxes (50%). These findings indicate the need for improved technical education, provision of supporting facilities, and the development of more systematic SOPs to optimize injury management.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the level of focus and concentration of Karawang roller skaters in facing competitive situations and identify the internal and external factors that influence it. Using a descriptive quantitative approach, data were collected through a questionnaire from 30 athletes who passed the 2024 West Java PIN selection. Analysis was conducted using SPSS version 26 through descriptive statistical tests and instrument validity and reliability. The results showed that the athletes' level of focus and concentration was in the high category with an average score of 4.23. The indicators "maintaining concentration for a long time" and "emotional control" showed positive results, while "flexibility in shifting focus" still requires improvement. The conclusion of this study emphasizes the importance of systematic mental training to optimize concentration and minimize distractions during competitions, for achieving maximum and sustainable performance.

Abstract

A Loadcell-Based Pencak Silat Kick Strength Measurement Tool This research aims to develop a kick strength measurement tool in the sport of pencak silat, addressing the subjective nature of measurements in the field. The primary technology used is a loadcell sensor to achieve accuracy and standardization. The development model applied is ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation), with a Research and Development (R&D) approach. This tool is equipped with a data recording feature and was tested on five pencak silat athletes from PSHT Bekasi. The test involved three types of kicks: T, crescent, and straight. Through data reading analysis and accuracy tests, the results showed that this tool functions well and accurately, with a very low average error value of 1.58%. This figure proves a high level of precision, making this tool suitable for use in the training process. In conclusion, this measuring tool can be an effective solution to support coaches and athletes in conducting kick evaluations objectively, measurably, and efficiently. In addition, this tool has great potential for further development with additional features in the future.
