Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of student learning outcomes in learning by applying the use of discussion methods in social studies learning with the subject of the map. This research was carried out by applying Classroom Action Research. With the research subject of IVA grade students of SDN 084 Cikadut Bandung with the number of students 20 students. The instruments used in conducting the study included observation sheets of teacher interaction, student interaction, test sheets, interviews and questionnaires on student attitude scale. Based on data analysis, it can be concluded that learning by applying the discussion method implemented in three cycles shows an increase in student learning achievement in each cycle. Student Worksheets in cycle 1 are 36% of students who complete learning, cycle 2 56% of students who achieve completeness. Next on the Worksheet 1 cycle group 61% of students completed, cycle 2 84% of students completed. So that it can prove that the application of the discussion method to improve the learning outcomes of fourth grade students in social studies subjects with the main discussion of maps can be carried out quite well and the results of each student have their respective improvements.

Abstract

The research based on the fact at 104 Langensari-Senanggalih Elementary school, is found the problem is learning outcome is low in the natural science subject. Therefore, was research with the aim to improve students activity and learning outcome, with a formulation of the problem in research is how to improve students activity and learning outcome in natural science subject by using experiment method. The research used classroom action research which does to students in the fourth grade with a qualitative approach. Data in this research based on an interview, test, and documentation. The result shows that can increase student activity and learning outcome in a natural science subject. Student activity level in cycle 1 33,4% and in cycle II goes up to 75%. While the average score of students in science lessons also increased. In the first cycle, the average score of students is 69.5 or 50%, while in cycle II rose to 80.08 or 83.3%. From the data, it can be concluded that the use of experimental methods in science class IV lessons can improve student activity and learning outcomes. This research can become a recommendation for teachers,  that the experimental method can be used as an alternative to innovate learning in the classroom, especially to improve student learning outcome.

Abstract

This research aims to improve students reading skills through the application of the technique of composing words. This technique is a form of cooperative learning development that has characterized the developing activities thinking through discussion or group work. The subject of research is the grade 1 SDN 070 Pasirluyu, years 2017/2018 lesson. The research approach used is qualitative while the type of research that is a class act (CAR). Data analysis techniques using interactive model analysis technique consist of three components, namely the reductions of data, data and cereal drawdown conclusion. Based on a result of research that has been carried out can be concluded that crafting game techniques can improve the ability to read grade 1 SDN 070 Pasirluyu. It can be seen from the increase in the number of studying thoroughly in the percentage of the initial conditions that only 54% increased to 71% in cycle 1 and reach 92% the end of cycle 2. The total increase in the result of the study is of 46%  yield close to average at this stage of pre-cycle of 58 rose to 71 in cycle 1 and cycle 2 be 87 on. pre-cycle.

Abstract

This study aims to improve learning outcomes of students through a learning model of problem-based learning on the sub-theme energy and change. This research was conducted in class III SD Muhammadiyah 4 Bandung and against the background circumstances of students are lacking in learning outcomes in the learning because teachers still use the learning that is conventional, that is, by using the lecture method, so that the involvement of learners in the learning was minimal. By using the model of Problem Based Learning can improve learning outcomes of students, because, in this model, the students become the center in the process of learning, stimulating learners to think critically, and to deepen their knowledge about what they know and what they need to know to solve the problem. In addition to its model of problem-based learning can also increase the activity and learning outcomes of students, help, develop skills to solve problems, and develop the skills to communicate orally. The conclusions obtained from this study is that the use of the model of problem-based learning can improve learning outcomes of students. Thus, the application of learning model problem based learning in sub-theme energy and amendments can be used as an alternative method of learning to be applied in Elementary School.

Abstract

This research was carried out at SDN 035 Soka Bandung City with the subjects of the fourth grade student participants totaling 30 people, this research was motivated by the phenomena that occur in elementary school students in teaching and learning activities that are lacking in collaboration with friends, very visible in learning activities when The teacher forms a discussion group to do group assignments, it seems that there are only a few group members who work while the other members seem indifferent to their assignments. Thus, there needs to be a problem solving that must be done to improve student collaboration in social studies learning, namely by applying the learning model of Problem Based Learning. The research method used was PTK with the Kemmis and Taggart models. Data collection techniques use observation, tests, documentation and field notes. The results of the study showed that the application of the Problem Based Learning model in social studies learning could improve cooperation among students. This can be seen from the percentage of the components of the formation of cooperation both from the aspect of knowledge and awareness that increases in each cycle.

Abstract

Natural Sciences includes basic natural science that has a lot to do with life and life in this world. That is the background of this research. Learning Natural Sciences has been given since students in elementary school. It is very important for students to understand the process of forming elements of life in the surrounding environment. The results of learning Natural Sciences in the fifth-grade students of SDN 001 Merdeka were still relatively low. In addition, the learning process so far allegedly runs monotonically and can make students feel bored easily, so the classroom atmosphere is no longer conducive to the learning process. Seeing this fact, researchers conducted classroom action research by applying experimental methods to the learning process in the classroom. With the experimental method, it is expected that students will feel interested in learning new things, including fostering curiosity in students about the characteristics of the light they encounter daily. The learning outcomes are also expected to improve better, considering that in the experimental method students can directly gain experience and knowledge directly. The results of this study can also be used as reference material for teachers to conduct further research or similar research.
