Abstract

This research is based on the general problem, that is how the effectiveness of the implementation of cooperative learning model type TGT and group learning method to improve learning outcomes in social studies subjects in grade VI of elementary school in the aspect of knowledge, understanding and application, and to see if there are differences Significance between cooperative learning method of TGT type with ordinary group learning method. The research method used is quasi experiment with sample of student of class VI of SD Negeri Selaawi I and II. Research instrument in the form of learning result test. The hypothesis was tested using Mann-Whitney U test with a significance level of 0.05. The result of this research is TGT model can improve learning outcomes and more effective than the usual group work model.      Keywords: learning model, cooperative learning type TGT, group work.

Abstract

In terms of time, Mind Mapping can streamline the use of time in studying an information. This is mainly because this method can present a comprehensive picture of a thing in a short time. In other words, Mind Mapping is able to cut learning time by changing the pattern of linear recording into effective recording and at the same time directly understood by the individual. So is the preparation of teachers. Teaching preparation is a special tip in the successful delivery of a subject matter. One of the subjects in Elementary School (ES) is a Natural Science that in fact many proofs between theory and practice. Therefore, the Mind Mapping method in preparation for teaching is one of the special tips for the delivery of the material in its entirety. The more mature the preparation of a teacher in planning the lesson, the better prepared the teacher teaches. With Mind Mapping, the teacher must have tried to think about the things involved with the lesson to be conveyed, such as the tool of the demonstration, how to estimate the condition of the learning condition if using the props, how to use the props, or whether the learner should try the props We make / we serve. With Mind Mapping, teachers are ready to teach with all their abilities accompanied by learning tools that are prepared. Keywords: Mind Mapping, Preparation, Teaching.

Abstract

The main problem of this study is the lack of ability to formulate a conjecture of mathematics students in grade 5 elementary schools, lack of ability to test the conjecture of mathematics students in grade 5 elementary school and a low attitude of self-confidence of students Primary 5. This study uses quantitative and qualitative approach and methods of quasi and descriptive. The study population was the fifth-grade elementary school students in District Ciparay Bandung regency. The sample consisted of 66 students divided into 33 classes of students in the various groups of experiment V-A  and 33 students in the class V-B as the control group. The instrument used comprising written tests on multiplication and division of fractions, and ratio and scale, attitude scale questionnaire of self-confidence, observation, and interviews. Quantitative analysis was performed on average pretest and posttest ability to compose and mathematical conjecture test using the t-test and Mann Whitney. Qualitative analysis was also conducted on the attitude scale questionnaire score self-confidence confirmed by observation and interview. The results pointed to an that mathematics learning by using discovery learning can improve students' mathematical formulate the conjecture. Learning mathematics using discovery learning can also improve students' mathematical test conjecture. The self-confidence of students in the experimental class was obtained using discovery learning math learning is good.

Abstract

The main problem of this study is the lack of ability to think kriis Elementary School fifth grade students in the learning of Social Sciences. This study uses a quantitative approach with quasi-experimental methods. The study population was the fifth-grade elementary school students in District Ciparay Bandung regency. The sample consisted of 51 students divided into 25 students in the class IV-A as an experimental group and 26 students in the class IV-B as the control group. Instruments used comprises a written test regarding social issues. Quantitative analysis is performed against the average pretest and post test critical thinking skills by using the t-test and Mann Whitney test. The results showed that the differences are critical thinking skills in students using problem-based learning model at initial measurement (pre-test) and the final measurement (post-test). encourage the student can solve his problems with critical thinking, there are no differences in the ability of critical thinking in students who use conventional learning model at initial measurement (pre-test) and the final measurement (post-test), there is an increased critical thinking skill in students whose learning using model-based the problem is higher than students whose learning using conventional learning.

Abstract

The development of information and communication technologies have a major impact in many areas of life, one of which is education. Learning use the media, is a strategy favored by students, particularly those related to technology. Because no denying that the interest of students to current technologies is huge. It can be seen from the children of school age, who loss of learning time because they are pre occupied with the world of technology, such as playing games, mobile phones and computers. Indonesian Internet Service Provider Association (APJII) conducted a survey of online game players active in Indonesia, the result is there are about 6 million online game players. This proves that Indonesian children have an interest in the game.  The change of curriculum in Indonesia from 2006 curriculum (Curriculum Education Unit) into a curriculum 2013, providing a wide range of implications for the learning process, one of which is the subject of Information and Communication Technology (ICT). In curriculum 2013, ICT subjects be erased, it’s means not stand alone but rather merged or combined with other subjects. In elementary school curriculum needs  subjects that are combined with computer lessons (Guha &Leonard, 2002). Therefore, teachers must be able to create methods that can capitalize on technology such as computer media in the learning process. Keywords: Computer, Interactive multimedia games model, Social Studies, Elementary school , and Understanding of concepts.
