Abstract

This study aims to analyze, evaluate and overcome the risk management faced by "Amicable Cafe" in developing its culinary business to achieve sales or profit targets. The method used in this research analysis is a qualitative method, namely by observing, analyzing, and interviewing related to operational activities and to find out how operational risk management is implemented by Amicable Cafe, so that it can carry out operational activities more effectively and can manage risks that are exist properly, precisely and in accordance with the level of risk faced. Based on the results of observations and interviews, operational risk can be caused by human resources or technical errors. Actions taken by Amicable Cafe to anticipate this risk by conducting direct supervision to avoid errors in the production process that cause losses. Employee control and operational systems are also in accordance with the capabilities of each employee, so that the level of effectiveness in production is always under control. Anticipation implemented by Amicable Café in avoiding risks, one example is by providing training in advance to new employees to avoid the risk of human error in café operations. This research is useful for MSME business actors, especially the culinary business, in anticipating risks that can occur in their business.

Abstract

Personal financial management (financial planning and control) is one form of application of financial management. For most students, college is the first time they manage their finances without the supervision of their parents. Students must be able to manage their finances properly independently and must also be able to take responsibility for the decisions they have made. This research aims to determine students' literacy levels and personal opinions about their respective financial decisions. The method used is descriptive qualitative, adjusting opinions between researchers and informants. The data source in descriptive qualitative research is a questionnaire (list of questions). The object of this research is students currently studying at the Indoneisa Institute of Business and Technology (INSTIKI) in Denpasar, Bali. The respondents in this study were 100 people. The results indicated that financial education and financial literacy should be provided early. The conclusion of this study states that the level of financial literacy possessed by students who are respondents in this study is at an intermediate level. And in deciding their respective finances, they have been able to recognize existing financial products but have not explored the procedures and processes for running them in the future.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship in the world of education aims to form a whole human being (holistic), as a human being who has the character, understanding, and skills as an entrepreneur. This study used observation, interview, documentation techniques, and a purposive sampling technique with the research object being students who were pursuing entrepreneurship education at INSTKI. The purpose of this research is to find out whether after studying entrepreneurship students can see business opportunities around them and foster an interest in entrepreneurship for students. The results of this study state that after studying entrepreneurship in theory and practice, students are able to see business opportunities around them and foster student interest in entrepreneurship

Abstract

The maximization of profits and the assumption of risk are inseparable elements of corporate management. The seafood restaurant industry offers promising future potential. Rezeki Seafood is one of the seafood restaurants in Batam City. This study aims to determine how Rezeki Seafood applies risk management, specifically in terms of strategic risk, operational risk, compliance risk, and tactical risk. This study approach is qualitative, and the acquired data will be examined. Observations and interviews were used to collect existing data. According to the findings of the investigation, Rezeki Seafood has a high amount of reputation-affecting operational risk, compliance risk, and strategic risk. Regarding risk, Rezeki Seafood demonstrates a high impact with a low chance. The conclusion of the research is that Rezeki Seafood restaurant has a high level of risk, especially in operational risk, compliance risk, and strategy risk. Risks related to reputation are one of the risks that often occur at Rezeki Seafood, where the factors that cause it come from the ability to overcome small problems quickly, employee problems, raw material problems, responsiveness to customer problems, and so on.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of business risk management to Chika Laundry SMEs. Analysis of Chika Laundry SMEs is carried out by analyzing risks to finance, operations, marketing, and products. The methodology used in this study is a qualitative method with the results of data obtained from interviews, on the results of the analysis the author identified risks to Chika Laundry SMEs and obtained results from research showing the greatest risk, namely regarding financial risks that rely on personal capital so that it can cause businesses to stop, and also we provide solutions in the form of risk control such as preparing raw materials for 2 months in the future, and to anticipate business failure, namely inviting work partners to work together, and it is also hoped that this research will be useful for entrepreneurs and readers so they can apply business risk management in their businesses and also add information about the importance of business risk management. The urgency of the research is that with the potential development of the Chika Laundry MSME business, it is necessary to implement risk management so that Chika Laundry MSMEs know what risks will occur and have prepared solutions to overcome these risks, and of course this risk handling needs to be implemented properly and appropriately.

Abstract

Risk management is very important to do because it can prepare the company to face certain conditions that cause losses for the company. The research method using qualitative, qualitative types that the author uses are interviews and observations. The author's goal of choosing MSME Blackforest Cakeshop as a partner in carrying out this project is because the authors consider that MSME Blackforest Cakeshop has a wide market reach and many consumers. In addition, the MSME Blackforest Cakeshop is located in one of the economic centers of the city of Batam which has very promising market opportunities and the author wants to advance MSME partners by providing advice on how high the risk of this writing partner is in the business world. This study aims to determine the application of risk. The contribution of the research is that it can provide risk management analysis for MSME businesses, especially Blackforest Cakeshop using a risk matrix so that the impact on MSME businesses can be known and solutions that can be applied to risk management problems in Blackforest Cakeshop MSMEs.

Abstract

Many people have built various kinds of businesses. Starting from the business of selling household goods to businesses that we often find, namely the culinary business, for example the UMKM Kopitiam Singkawang which has a segmentation of regular customers. In running a business, not all companies or businesses run smoothly. There will always be risks that it finds, both directly and indirectly. Seeing the importance of understanding risk management for MSME businesses in running business operations, the research objective is to apply SWOT analysis which aims to determine the effect and frequency of risk occurrence in managing risk management in Kopitiam Singkawang MSME businesses. The research method uses an approach to obtain information through interviews and observations. Several recommendations for MSME businesses based on the weakness and treats factors from the SWOT analysis show that MSME management can evaluate both in terms of facilities, business place concepts and customer flavors. From the SWOT analysis, it was found that Kopitiam Singkawang MSMEs have the strength and potential to advance and continue to develop well even though they have quite intense competition from other business competitors.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of thin capitalization and transfer pricing on tax avoidance in the multinational manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2016-2021 period partially and simultaneously. The research method used in this study is descriptive with a quantitative approach. The population in this study is the multinational manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2016-2021 period which amounted to 45 companies. The number of multinational manufacturing companies that were sampled in this study was 16 companies. The total sample of research is 96 samples The conclusion of this study is partially thin capitalization has no effect on Tax Avoidance, Transfer Pricing affects Tax Avoidance. Simultaneously Thin Capitalization and Transfer Pricing affect Tax Avoidance.

Abstract

Emotions that can be in the form of stress are certainly in the work environment. This article discusses the basics and stress management that may occur in the workplace. Stress is an emotion that the context of this reflective study will show through a process-oriented approach to stress reduction and factors that influence internally and externally based on previous empirical research reviews. This study will convey the understanding of stress, its causes, and thoughts on how to live side by side with stress. In the end, emotions are necessary we are with them. In general, stress is related to external and internal factors. External factors include the physical environment, work, relationships with other people, and all the situations, challenges, difficulties, and expectations. Internal factors determine our body's ability to respond to external stressors. Internal factors that affect our ability to deal with stress include our health, emotional well-being, and our ability to control through relaxation techniques or other strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of psychological capital, job satisfaction and human capital management on employee performance with employee engagement as a mediating variable at PT. HI. This study uses a quantitative method that uses primary data sourced from questionnaires distributed via google form to employees at PT HI. The research sample was selected using purposive sampling method with a population of 254 employees, so that 155 employees were obtained as samples. Data analysis used for hypothesis testing is Covariance-Based Structural Equation Modeling (CB-SEM) and the software used is AMOS and to test the hypothesis of mediating variables using the Sobel Test. The results of this study indicate that there are several hypotheses that have a positive effect including; psychological capital on employee engagement, job satisfaction on employee engagement, employee engagement on employee performance, psychological capital on employee performance, job satisfaction on employee performance, and job satisfaction on employee performance through employee engagement. In addition, the results also found information that there is no positive influence between human capital management on employee engagement, human capital management on employee performance, psychological capital on employee performance through employee engagement, and human capital management on employee performance through employee engagement.
