Abstract

ABSTRACT In the 21st century it demands a mathematical literacy ability. In PISA 2012 mathematical literacy is defined as the ability of individuals to formulate, use and interpret mathematics in various contexts. Someone can be said to be able to solve a problem if able to examine a problem and be able to use their knowledge in new situations. This ability is also known as HOTS (High Order Thinking Skills) or higher order thinking skills. The purpose of this study is to determine the retention of mathematical problem solving abilities in 21st century mathematics learning. The study was conducted at SD Muhammadiyah 17 Semarang with a sample of 40th grade IV students conducted in the 2019/2020 school year. This study uses Product Moment Correlation data analysis techniques. The results showed that the retention of problem solving abilities of fourth grade students from the perspective of 21st century skills was still low.Keywords: Retention, Problem Solving Ability, Mathematics, 21st Century Skills

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal kecepatan dan debit. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan bentuk penelitian survey. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 34 siswa kelas V SDN Petompon 02. Alat pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes tertulis berbentuk essay. Hasil analisis data menunjukan bahwa kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa rendah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan 1) Mendeskripsikan implementasi penanaman nilai karakter peduli lingkungan pada siswa. 2) Mendeskripsikan faktor pendukung dan penghambat implementasi penanaman nilai karakter peduli lingkungan pada siswa di SD Unggulan Aisyiyah Bantul Yogyakarta. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah kepala sekolah, guru penanggung jawab program GeMeS, guru kelas dan siswa kelas IV yang berjumlah 10 siswa. Objek penelitian ini adalah implementasi penanaman nilai karakter peduli lingkungan pada siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data yaitu wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan Model Miles dan Huberman yaitu tahap reduksi data, penyajian data, dan kesimpulan. Keabsan data dilakukan dengan triangulasi sumber, dan teknik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi penanaman nilai karakter peduli lingkungan pada siswa di SD Unggulan Aisyiyah Bantul sudah dapat berjalan dengan baik karena sudah mampu menerapkan indikator yang diterbitkan oleh Kementerian Pendidikan Nasional yaitu pembiasaan memelihara kebersihan dan  kelestarian lingkungan, tersedia tempat pembuangan sampah, tempat cuci tangan, kamar mandi, pembiasaan hemat energi, melakukan pembiasaan memisahkan jenis sampah organik anorganik, menyediakan peralatan kebersihan, membuat tandon penyimpanan air, dan memogramkan cinta bersih lingkungan. Sedangkan faktor penghambat terdapat pada biaya sedangkan faktor pendukung terdapat pada semangat semua warga sekolah dan fasilitas yang ada disekolah.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to produce and develop a product maximally in order to increase its usefulness by utilizing the facilities and infrastructure in Muhammadiyah Karangploso elementary school. The research to be carried out is in the form of thematic learning media products using Lectora Inspire media. Data collection techniques used expert validation assessment sheets (media experts, material experts and learning experts) and student response assessment questionnaire sheets. The data analysis used is quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis by analyzing quantitative data that has been obtained from expert validation sheets and student response assessment sheets to learning media which were originally a score, then converted into qualitative data (interval data) on a scale of five. The results of this study indicate that the media using Lectora Inspire multimedia is suitable for use in learning. Interactive multimedia based on Lectora Inspire on the sub-theme of energy sources used in class four elementary schools to assist teachers in providing understanding to students on energy sources with interactive multimedia based on Lectora Inspire is very supportive when used for thematic learning on the sub-theme of energy sources for fourth grade elementary school students.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the development procedures and determine the feasibility of the Petulangan Matematika (Petamatika) media.. This research is a type of Research and Development (R&D) used the Borg and Gall development model with the following stages: (1) research and information collecting, (2) planning, (3) develop preliminary form of product, (4) preliminary field testing, (5) main product revisions, (6) main field testing (small-scale), (7) operational product revisions and (8) operational field testing (large-scale). The trial subjects used were 27 students in IV grade and teachers in Muhammadiyah Tamantirto Elementary School. Data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observation and questionnaires. Data analysis includes quantitative data analysis and qualitative data analysis. The results showed that the validation of the media experts scored 78.33 in the "Good" category, the validation of the material experts scored 81.67 with the "Very Good" category and the validation of the learning expert scored 90 with the "Very Good" category. The results of small-scale field trials get a value of 87.16 with the category "Very Good" and the results of large-scale trials get a value of 94.91 with the category "Very Good". From all assessments of experts, students and teachers, the Petulangan Matematika (Petamatika) media scored an average score of 86.41 in the "Very Good" category and was declared eligible for use in the material of perimeter and areas of two dimensional shapes for grade IV elementary schools.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis karangan narasi peserta didik kelas 4 SD Muhammadiyah Pulokadang pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode mind mapping. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilakukan selama dua siklus. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas 4 yang berjumlah 22 orang. Teknik yang digunakan untuk pengumpulan data adalah observasi, tes dan dokumentasi. Analisis data penelitian ini memakai analisis data kualitatif dan analisis data kuantitatif.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari presentase hasil rata-rata menulis karangan narasi peserta didik pada siklus 1 sebesar 64,7%, kemudian pada siklus 2 meningkat menjadi 81,4%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, penerapan metode mind mapping pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia dapat meningkatkan hasil keterampilan dalam menulis karangan narasi peserta didik kelas 4 SD Muhammadiyah Pulokadang. Kata kunci: Keterampilan, Kooperatif Learning, Mind Mapping

Abstract

The aim of the study was to improve storytelling skills through hand puppets and solve the steps to improve storytelling skills with puppets of grade IV students at SDN 05 Bojongbata. This type of research is classroom action research, with Kemmis and Mc. Taggart. The research subjects were grade IV students who participated in 35 students and the object of the study was the student learning outcomes. Data collection techniques using the method of observation, testing and documentation. The data analysis technique used descriptive quantitative data analysis techniques. The results showed an increase in the results of the research on storytelling skills in students. The results showed the first cycle to get an average of 73.56% learning outcomes with completeness, an increase in the second cycle to get an average of 85.71% learning outcomes with completeness. Based on the results of the study, using puppet media can improve the skills of students in grade IV SDN 05 Bojongbata.

Abstract

The purposes of this research are (1) to improve the teachers’ scientific writing ability based on classical guidance method in 2 Sumberagung Primary School. (2) The implementation of classical guidance method to teachers in compile the scientific papers in 2 Sumberagung Primary School. This research was a school action research. The research method went through two cycles. Research data obtained by observation sheets. The result of each cycle were analyzed and then used as reference material for the next action. Technical analysis used descriptive analysis. The success rate of teacher competency was in able category reached 75%. The implementation of classical guidance method in 2 Sumberagung Bantul Primary School carried out through three stages, those were preparation, the implementation and the evaluation phase. The ability of the mentor in conducting classical mentoring in the first cycle was in the quite good category with a score as much 50% and the score it increased to 100% with a very good category in the second cycle. The classical guidance method was able to improve the teacher's professional competence in compile their scientific papers at 2 Sumberagung Primary School. This was evidenced by the increased of the teachers’ ability in compile their scientific papers at this time as much 78.5%.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) develop PARO media (roman board) on roman numerals, and (2) determine the quality and appropriateness of PARO media (roman board) as a learning media for mathematics learning materials for Roman numerals for grade IV elementary schools. This study uses R&D (Research and Development) research. The steps are 1) potential and problems, 2) data collection, 3) product design, 4) design validation, 5) design revision, 6) product testing, 7) product revision, 8) product use trial, 9) design revision. This research was conducted at SD N Banyurejo 1 by using a sample of 6 fourth grade students and 16 fourth grade students. The data collection instrument used a questionnaire. Data analysis used qualitative and quantitative data analysis. The research subjects were grade IV teachers and 22 students at SD N Banyurejo 1. The results of the development were PARO (roman board) media in mathematics subject matter Roman numerals for grade IV elementary schools. Media PARO (roman board) was validated by 76 material experts with the category (Eligible), 85.5 media experts with the category (Very Appropriate), and 78.3 learning experts with the category (Eligible). The first trial obtained 100 in the (Very Eligible) category. The second trial obtained 97.7 with the category (very feasible). The results of the response of students on average from trials I and II were 98.7 with the category (Very Eligible). Teacher assessment obtained 93.8 with the category (Very Eligible). These results indicate that the PARO media (roman board) is suitable for use in the learning process in a very feasible category.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the steps of the development and quality of smart card media (KATAR) in Mathematics subject matter multiplication.This research using ADDIE model with 5 stages: analyze, design, develop, implement, evaluate. The trial subjects in this study were 19 students in grade II and teachers in Sidomulyo 1 Salaman Elementary School. Data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observation and questionnaires. Data analysis used qualitative data analysis and quantitative data analysis. The result showed that the smart card media (KATAR) was appropriate to be used with a score of 95 (Good) from the media expert validator, 45 (Good) from the material expert validator, 43 (Very Good) from the learning expert validator. The results of student responses in small- scale trials get a score of 60 with a percentage of 100 (Very Good) and in large-scaletrials get a score of 130 with a percentage of 100(Very Good). Students respond that learning to use smart card media (KATAR) is fun andcan be learned while playing and the material learned is easy to understand.
