Penerapan Metode Musabaqoh Bithoqoh Mukhtalithul Kalimah (MBMK) untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Maharah Al-Kitabah Siswa MAN 1 Yogyakarta Rahmawati, Latifah

This article is aimed to describe: (1) the increase of ability to write in Arabic using the method of Musabaqah Bithaqah Mukhtalithul Kalimah (MBMK), (2) behavior changes on the students after learning to write Arabic using MBMK method. The method is done one the XD students of MAN 1 Yogyakarta. The proceedings of this research are done in two cycles. Every cycle has four stages, namely: planning, action, observation, and reflection. Everything is conducted collaboratively. The subjects of the present study are 37 tenth grade students of class D in MAN 1 Yogyakarta, consisting of 20 female students and 17 male students. The data collection technique is by using test and non-test. After attending the learning process using MBMK method, students’ skills in writing show significant improvement. The average score of the students before using the MBMK method was only 68.73. However, after using the MBMK method, it increases to 80.7 in the first cycle and 88.7 in the second cycle. Students’ behavior also changed in a positive direction. The changes are shown by being serious and enthusiastic towards the writing lessons. Based on the data above, it can be concluded that MBMK method is effective to increase the students’ ability in XD class of MAN 1 Yogyakarta.

Language is the main characteristic that distinguishes humans from other creatures, with that language interacting and communicating. One theory of language acquisition and learning regarding language as a human trait is the generative transformative theory Noam Chomsky states that language is the innate potential possessed by humans from birth. Based on the theory, this study aims to analyze the innate potential of human language as a reference in the development of Arabic language learning, taking into account the innate potential of the language that is already possessed by students. It is expected that the potential of the language can be utilized and developed optimally in the process of learning Arabic. his study uses descriptive analysis method, and the conclusions obtained based on this research are curriculum design in Arabic language learning based on Chomsky Innate theory, namely students do not have to be given intensive training, students are given a broad opportunity to create speeches, the rules are given as long as it is needed, students are deployed to real situations in the communication process.

The issue of gender responsiveness become a subject of study that is widely discussed. Discourse about the equality of men and women reap many pros and cons from various circles, as the result of social construction differences that affect the perspective of mindset. This article intends to describe the gender-responsive value contained in the material of Arabic language learning. Where the material presented includes the use of mudzakar and muannats vocabulary, where both have equal status without any stereotypes and subordinates of them. This article was written using library research; the author analyzed the use of mudzakar and muannats vocabulary in a balanced manner, as well as the use of various gender discriminations in the form of gender stereotypes and gender-based violence found in Arabic textbooks in grades IV and VI of Islamic Elementary School (MI). Based on the analysis result, the researcher concludes that gender-responsive emphasis has been appearing in Arabic language teaching materials, but it needs more. So, in the next, gender discrimination will not be found in the Arabic language teaching material of Islamic Elementary School (MI).

ِJurusan Pendidikan Bahasa Arab Fakultas Tarbiyah dan Ilmu Keguruan IAIN Lhokseumawe dalam pengajarannya menggunakan metode serta tujuan dengan jelas. Karena dengan tujuanlah suatu pembelajaran akan berhasil dan dapat diarahkan. Tetapi itu semua tidak cukup, karena mahasiswa Jurusan Pendidikan Bahasa Arab Fakultas Tarbiyah dan Ilmu Keguruan IAIN Lhokseumawe tidak semua berasal dari latar belakang yang sama. Sebagian mahasiswa sebelum masuk ke Jurusan Pendidikan Bahasa Arab ada yang berasal dari MA, SMK, SMA dan Pesantren. Tentu saja yang berasal dari Pesantren prestasi bahasa Arabnya lebih tinggi dari pada yang berasal dari SMA, SMK dan MA, dengan hasil tersebut penulis simpulkan dengan adanya kebijakan-kebijakan yang telah ditetapkan oleh Jurusan, dapat menyetarakan dan mengurangi perbedaan prestasi mahasiswa/i, walupun dalam pelaksanaan program kebijakan dalam pengembangan bahasa masih banyak hambatan dan kekurangan.

The present study aims to: (1) know the vocabulary learning process through field trip method, (2) know the significant differences in the increase of Arabic vocabulary in the experimental and control groups. This study uses qualitative experimental approach. As for the data collection technique, this study uses interview, observation, documentation, and tests, such as pretest and posttest. The pretest uses experimental design. The result shows that (1) the result of the learning class which uses experiment experiences enhancement between the average values of pretest and posttest which are 30.76 to become 55.54. And the result of the control group shows improvement with the average posttest score from 34.00 to 56.16. This indicates that the average value of experimental posttest class is higher compared to the average values of control class posttest. (2) There are significant differences in the experimental and control groups while learning vocabulary of 11th graders of MAN 1 Sleman. It is based on on the data analysis results through -T test Paired T-test with the significance of 0.000<0.05 that the results of vocabulary learning process of experimental and control groups are considered significantly different.

Penguasaan Mufrādat dan Qawā’id Sebagai Upaya Meningkatkan Keterampilan Menulis Bahasa Arab Ahyar, Haerul

This article discusses the elements of language and language skills, specifically the elements of mufradat and qowā’id as well as the skill in writing Arabic (al-maharah al-kitabah). The present study aims to prove the theory of the importance of language element in language skill, i.e. the correlational relationship of the mastery of mufradat and qowā’id with the ability to write in Arabic of grade X students of MAN 1 Sleman Yogyakarta majoring in Religion in the academic year of 2016/2017. This is a quantitative descriptive study that uses the said students as the subjects. There are 27 students involved in this study who show that: 1) The average score of mufradat mastery of the students is 75.74. This score is including in the category of average. 2) The average score of qowā’id ability of the students is 42.74 which is including in the category of average. 3) The average score of the kitabah ability of the students is 64.81 which is including in the average category. 4) The result of r calculation referring to the Correlation Coefficient (R) regression formula shows the value of 0.800. The value significance obtained is (0.000). Thus, it could be interpreted that between the mastery of mufradat and qowā’id simultaneously with the ability to write Arabic of the students shows a positive and significant correlational relationship.

This study aims to find out about language errors that occur in an Arabic textbooks entitled Duru>s al-Lughah al-‘Ara>biyah ‘ala Thariqati al-Muba>syarah al-Mutaka>milah of Muhammad In'am, M.A. Not only the errors that were discussed but there was an attempt or Tashwib or correction in order to evaluate the results of the analysis that has been done. Library research was used with a qualitative descriptive method to analyze the subject of the study which is Duru>s al-Lughah al-‘Ara>biyah ‘ala Thariqati al-Muba>syarah al-Mutaka>milah both volumes I and II. In this study, the following conclusions can be drawn: there are errors in language syntactic aspects in the textbooks. There are several categories of errors (refer to the classification of Toto Suharto et al): nakirah Ma'rifah, Dhamir, huruf Jar, Murakkab Idhafi, Isim Isyarah, Jumlah Ismiyah, and Jumlah Fi'liyah. Several reasons were found for the occurrence of these errors, namely lack of accuracy in writing textbooks, lack of workforce that helped the author to edit the material to be presented in textbooks and limited human resources which led to inefficient writing of textbooks.
