Abstract

This research is conducted to apply Fuzzy Logic which is implemented in short term load forecasting. Data that is used for short term load forecasting are historical load data and temperature data. The data is analyzed to learn the load characteristic of Sumbar System which is used as references for making rules in Fuzzy Logic. The Fuzzy Logic model is made using fuzzy logic toolbox that is provided by Matlab. The forecasting result is compared with actual load. It is seen from experiment that the advantage of Fuzzy Logic is its rules that are made from supplied data. Keyword :       Fuzzy Logic, load forecasting, rules.

Abstract

Result of research indicate that at level of significanti 5%, (1) machine rotation have an effect on significant to gas emission throw away HC with percentage of contribution 98,90%. Where its tendency of machine rotation excelsior hence gas emission throw away  HC progressively. Gas emission throw away  the lowest HC obtained by rotation 2200 that is 153 ppm. (2) Machine rotation have an effect on significant to gas emission throw away CO with percentage of contribution 91,60%. Where its tendency of machine rotation excelsior hence gas emission throw away CO progressively. Gas emission throw away the lowest CO obtained by rotation 1800 that is 0,20%. Abstract

Inulin is natural polymer belong to a class of carbohydrates. Inulin has effect the best of prebiotic. Inulin is fermented by Bifidobacteria and Lactobacilli quictly and easy. Major product of  fermentation is short chain fatty acids (SCFA) and L-laktate.  SCFA is an important function of the large intestine. SCFA influence immune function, heart health, cancer prevention. SCFA decrease colonic and faecal pH, so support growth of Lactobacilli and Bifidobacteria, inhibits growth of patogen bacterial. SCFA can influences metabolism of lipid and glucose. Abstract

AMF as the biofertilizer on several crops  has been reported, but not so much the information about biodiversity of AMF on potatos rhizosphere and its potential to colonize that crop. The research about the biodiversity of AMF has been done in laboratorium  Biology in Faculty of Agriculture of Andalas University and in laboratorium Biotecnology of Agriculture Faculty of Jambi University from November 2004 till April 2005. The sample of soil have been collected from  rhizosphire of potatos plant in Alahan Panjang, West Sumatera, and then the AMF spore are isolated and identification based on morphology and size of spores. Inoculation of single and multi spores to potatos root to see the structure of colonization and percentage of colonization. The result of identification of AMF spores show that there are many kind of spores on rhizosphere of potatos plant and the spores are dominated by: Glomus, Acaulospora, Scutellospora, Gigaspora, and Enterophospora. Unfortunately, the inoculation of single spore has no good effect to the structure of colonization and the potatos plant not vigorous and easy to be severe of stem desease. But, inoculation with multi spores show that the tipe of colonization on potatos root have the coil hyphal and intracellular vesicular. The same result also indicated that colonization with active propagule (mycelium, spores, and infected root) have the coil hyphal and intracellular vesicular. The species of AMF that have the typical characteristic is assumed as Gigaspora sp.. Key words :    AMF, potatos rhizosphere, biofertilizer

Abstract

PT. Andalas Lumber Products is a company engaged in manufacturing semi-finished wood (sawn timber). The company's success in serving customer demand on time is determined by the readiness of the facility in carrying out its functions. One of the main engine is a molding machine is the machine used for the finishing process. The ability of these hourly Moulding machine is 600 m / hr working hours per day 7 hours, so if the machine does not operate in a single day because of damage to the business may experience a loss of 4200 m / hour. This machine consists of three units of the machine, which was 9 years old, in theory the economic life of 10 years for type machine Unimat 23E and 22N Profimat 8 years. This category of critical engine unit, therefore it is necessary that good maintenance schedule and a schedule of renovation that is right for the machine. In this research study and analysis of economic life cycle through the calculation of the estimated operating expenses, depreciation calculations, and determination of the cost of return on capital (capital recovery cost) by using an interest rate of 10%. Replacement schedule will be taken through the smallest total cost is considered as the economic life of the machine where the costs incurred is minimum. From the results obtained by processing data from the smallest total cost of Rp molding machines I 157,240,725.3 with economic life in its 7th year, molding machine II of Rp 112 551 903 with the economic life of Rp 156,391,605.3 the economic life of the year-to-7. Abstract

Recently, the oil industry has emphasized enhancement oil recovery (EOR) process. The steamflood are ones EOR process can used to increase the heavy oil production. Effective management of EOR process requires detailed reservoir description and observation of the reservoir being swept at time. The 4D microgravity method can be applied in obtaining reservoir description such as steamflood zone mapping. Combination between the rock physics analysis with ideal model of steamflood used to calculate the synthetic 4D microgravity anomaly. This result suggest the negative 4D microgravity anomaly changes at time represented steamflood zones causes by density contras between steam at the high temperature after injection and pressure with heavy oil at the low temperature and pressure before injection. But the 4D microgravity anomaly can’t detect steamflood zone boundaries causes the anomaly shape with respect to shape of source. We proposed the 4D microgravity anomaly constrained with high resolution horizontal derivative to detect steamflood zones boundaries. The field data showed gravity change of up to -300mGal have occurred in area near ones the oil production well.  The maxima value of the field constrained 4D microgravity anomaly represented the steamflood zones boundaries with its surrounding. Abstract

Amylase is an hydrolase enzyme that plays a role in the hydrolysis reaction of starch and glycogen into isomaltose, maltotriose, maltose and glucose. Amylase can be obtained by extraction from several sources of plants, animals and microorganisms. Extraction of the enzyme can be done in two ways, with an organic solvent and inorganic salt. We have conducted research on amylase activity of yam tubers extracted with ethanol and ammonium sulfate. This research aimed to determine the optimum amylase activity at the variations of temperature and pH, and the effectiveness of extractors. This research is an experimental research using complete randomized design with two factorials which are pH and temperature. pH variations were 4, 4.5, 5.0, 5.5, and 6, while the variation of temperature are 300 C, 400 C, 500C, and 600C. Isolation of amylase-was carried out by multilevel fractionation using saturated ammonium sulphate 40, 60. 80, and 90% w/v and cold ethanol 95%. Amylase activity was determined based on the concentration of glucose which is result of hydrolysis of starch by Nelson-Somogy method. The highest activity was found in fraction I, pH 4 and temperature of 500C with 34.55 units of activity for ethanol solvent and 30.72 units for ammonium sulfate. Abstract

The increasing number of academics on Faculty of Engineering, State University of Padang (FT-UNP) resulted in the provision of facilities parking space problem. This study aims to determine the characteristics of parking, how parking demand model and know the standards required parking. Data space requirements include primary data obtained from field surveys used to obtain the characteristics of the parking and secondary data obtained from the Bureau of Academic and Student Affairs Administration FT-UNP. Parking demand modeling performed by the method of simple linear regression analysis. Independent variables that are reviewed include: the number of FT-UNP academic community. While the dependent on variable is the highest accumulation of parking and parking accumulation on average. The analysis showed that, the car is a vehicle with the highest accumulation index 1.24, and accumulated an average of 0.71, the highest accumulation on motorcycle accumulated an average of 1.02 0.59. Model the relationship between the accumulation of a car park with the highest number of academic community is y = 11.987 + 0.008 x (R2 = 0.919) and accumulated an average of y = 11.717 + 0.005 x (R2 = 0.904). While the motorcycle to the highest accumulation of y = -12.812 + 0.096 x (R2 = 0.966) accumulated an average y = -18.793 + 0.065 x (R2 = 0.952). To determine the vehicle parking space requirements based on the number of the academic community in the year 2010 (5721 people) are: 58 parking lot (SRP) for car or 725 m2, and for motorcycle parking lot 536 or 750 m2. Abstract

This research was a flavonoid isolation to determine the characteristics and the bioactivities of  the Cyphomandra betacea (Cav) Sendtn. Flavonoid was known as a compound which contribute to physiological and pharmacological values to human. The compound was found in angiospermae, gymnospermae, and pteridopita. The flavonoid was also presumed can be used as a dyer and to protect human as medicines. The method of isolation by using maceration with methanol, then was  fractionated by using n-hexane and ethyl acetate. Ethyl acetate fraction seperated column chromatography by silica-gel 60, treated n-hexane: ethyl acetate and ethyl acetate: methanol as eluen. The purity of fraction was identified by KLT and the melting point. Pure flavonoid (58.1 mg) as white yellow needle crystal obtained has the interval range melting point as much 168. 4 to 169.90C. The bioactivity test of the flavonoid shows that the flavonoid  function as  antibacteria, but not function as antifungy. The flavonoid was assumed as O-glycoside flavon with OH at C-5, C-3’, C-4’ and prenil at  C-6. Key words:     flavonoid, dye, isolation, bioactivity & antibakteria

Abstract

A flavonoid of the Clerodendron infortunatum Linn has been isolated by ethylacetate fraction of its methanolic extract. Apigenin (5,4 ,dihydroksiflavon) was isolated by chromatography over silica gel with ethylacetate – hexane as eluent and then crystallized from ethylacatate – hexane to give the flavonoid as plates, m..p. 289-291 0C. The structure of which followed from its spectroscopic properties. Key word :      Flavonoid, elusidation, ethylacetate fraction, chromatografi, spectroscopic properties.
