Abstract

Remedial program is given to the students who do not pass the minimum criteria of learning result. Based on the “KTSP” Technical guidance evaluation in 2008 and 2009, generally teacher only gave retest to the student who didn’t pass the examination, without giving any treatment to pass the learning outcome which was not pass before. It happened because there wasn’t enough time to do this program. The solution was by using learning social media Edmodo which can be accessed online, so the students can do remedial program whenever and wherever they want without preparing remedial time at school. So, the Chemistry teachers in Kabupaten Solok was trained to use edmodo for remedial program. Besides, this media was also used for online teacher forum. This training was evaluated through questioner about practicality of social media edmodo for remedial program and online teacher forum. The result was analyzed by Kappa Cohen Formula with the value of k is 0,7, it means has high practice value.

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the optimum amylase activity at the variations of temperature and pH, and the effectiveness of extractors.  The extraction of the enzyme can be done in two ways, with an organic solvent and inorganic salt. We have conducted research on amylase activity of yam tubers extracted with ethanol and ammonium sulfate. This research is an experimental research using complete randomized design with two factorials which are pH and temperature. pH variations were 4, 4.5, 5.0, 5.5, and 6, while the variation of temperature are 300 C, 400 C, 500C, and 600C. Isolation of amylase-was carried out by multilevel fractionation using saturated ammonium sulphate 40, 60. 80, and 90% w/v and cold ethanol 95%. Amylase activity was determined based on the concentration of glucose which is result of hydrolysis of starch by Nelson-Somogy method. The highest activity was found in fraction I, pH 4 and temperature of 500C with 34.55 units of activity for ethanol solvent and 30.72 units for ammonium sulfate. Key words: amylase, activity, isolation, yam tubers extracted

Abstract

Amylase is an hydrolase enzyme that plays a role in the hydrolysis reaction of starch and glycogen into isomaltose, maltotriose, maltose and glucose. Amylase can be obtained by extraction from several sources of plants, animals and microorganisms. Extraction of the enzyme can be done in two ways, with an organic solvent and inorganic salt. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan permainan ludo kimia berbasis pada materi asam dan basa yang sudah ada kedalam bentuk android sebagai media pembelajaran di kelas XI SMA/MA, menentukan validitas dan praktikalitas ludo kimia berbasis android sebagai media pembelajaran pada materi asam dan basa kelas XI SMA/MA. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Educational Design Research dengan model Plomp yang terdiri dari 3  tahap, yaitu tahap preliminary research, prototyping stage, assessment phase. Penelitian ini dibatasi sampai tahap prototyping stage yaitu tahap (small group). Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah angket validitas dan angket praktikalitas. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu penyebaran angket kemudian dianalisis menggunakan Aiken’s V untuk validitas dan rumuas persentase untuk praktikalitas. Hasil analisis data diperoleh bahwa permainan ludo kimia berbasis android sebagai media pembelajaran pada materi asam dan basa memiliki validitas dari segi konstruk, konten dan media yang valid serta telah praktis dari segi kemudahan penggunaan, efisiensi waktu pembelajaran dan kebermanfaatan suatu media. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa permainan ludo kimia berbasis android yang dikembangkan sudah valid dan praktis sebagai media pembelajaran pada materi asam dan basa kelas XI SMA/MA.

Abstract

Beef rendang is one of traditional foods from Minangkabau, West Sumatra. Rendang cooked with basic ingredient from beef, coconut milk and special spices. The addition of cumin (Cuminum cyminum L.) spice in cooking can improve the taste, other than that, cumin is additionally valuable as an antioxidant, antidiabetic, and lowering cholesterol. Nevertheless, there is no organoleptic report stating that cumin spice can improve the taste of rendang. The aim of the study was to see the level of preference for rendang which was added weight  variations of cumin based on sensory parameters (color, meat texture, surface of spices, aroma, flavor). The test method determined organoleptically by the hedonic test method on 48 panelists from chemistry 3rd year understudies of University of Negeri Padang were given rendang with variations in addition of cumin at 0, 0.5, 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5 grams/500 grams of beef. The test results appeared a significant decrease in the level of inclination for rendang in parameters of color, surface of spices, and flavor of rendang with the addition of 2.5 grams of cumin when compared to the original rendang and and in common there was no significant alter. In conclusion, the expansion of cumin flavor influences the taste of beef rendang.

Abstract

The era revolution 4.0 is an era of digitalization especially in education. Exercise that was initially conventionally using paper does not always provide opportunities high interest students because students are bored using paper. One of innovations is developing a chemistry ludo game as an alternative exercise model. The goal is develop and determine the level validity, practicality, and effectiveness. This type is the Plomp model Educational Design Research with 3 stages, namely initial, prototype, and assessment stage. The research instruments are questionnaires and test instruments. Validity data were analyzed using Aiken`s V and all validation aspects were above 0.80 so the results of content, construction and media validation showed a valid category, practicality data were analyzed using percentage formula with a result of 90% in practical category, and effectiveness using N-Gain with the results experimental class of 0.79 high criteria, while the control class only 0.47 moderate criteria. Hypothesis namely the tcount 7.84527 and ttable of 0.05 obtained 1.668 so the learning outcomes of the experimental class higher. So, the ludo game is valid, practical, and effective. So that this media can be used for educators as an alternative to providing exercise using fun technology for students.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the availability of the chemical ladder snake game as a medium for learning acid-base material developed by Amalia Putri Lubis & Iswendi. It is valid but not tested for practicality and effectiveness. This study aims to determine the suitability and effectiveness of the chemical snakes and ladders game. This type of research is a continuation of development research with a Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design and is a 4-D model development. The research population is class XI MIPA students of SMAN 1 Ranah Batahan. Samples take using by Simple Random Sampling technique. The research instruments were useful questionnaires and learning achievement tests. The data analysis technique is the practicality percentage technique and the N-Gain test and t-test. The results of the data analysis of practicality are, at a convenient level, for effectiveness the results of data analysis show pretty effective. This is evidenced by the N-Gain percentage of the experimental class of 66% at a somewhat adequate level and the control class of 47% at a less practical level, and supported by hypothesis testing with the t-test, namely tcount (2.6686)> table (2.0106) at the real level α = 0.05 with dk = 48 and chance t0.95.

Abstract

This research is a continuation of the development research conducted by Rentia Lestari with a valid 4-D model but has not been tested for its practicality and effectiveness. The study aims to determine the level of practicality and level of effectiveness of chemical ludo games as a medium of learning of acid and base materials against student learning outcomes. The study was designed by Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The research objects are Class XI Mipa 1 (control class) and Class XI Mipa 2 (experiment class) at SMA N 1 V Koto Kampung Dalam. Pre-testing and posttesting. The practicality data was analyzed with the percentage of practicality and effectiveness with N-Gain. Data analysis results are practical in teachers at a very practical level and students are at a fairly practical, for the effectiveness of the data analysis results show quite effective, which is supported by an improved understanding of the learning outcomes of the higher experimental class compared to the control class. The average post-test scores of the experimental and control classes of 77.14 and 70.15 respectively and the analysis results with the N-Gain experimental class of 0.59 were at a fairly effective rate and the control class of 0.51 was at a less effective rate, the learning results of the experimental class increased than the control Class where tcount (3.62) > ttable(1.67) at the real level α= 0.05. This indicates increased learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study is to examine the developed game snake ladder chemistry as a learning media to the real class. Objective study to disclose level practicality and level effectiveness game snake ladder chemistry as a learning medium on material Reaction Reduction and Oxidation class X MAN 1 Padang Panjang. Design study is One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Subject study is class X MIPA 3. Instruments study on test practicality form questionnaire practicality to teachers and participants educate and test effectiveness form question pre-test and completed post - test tested try it. Practicality data analyzed with percentage and effectiveness data with N-Gain. Based on results analysis of the data obtained, the teacher practicality is 91% (very practical) and participants educate on a small group by 86% (very practical), and test field-test obtained by 87% (very practical). Results analysis effectiveness obtained mark N-Gain by 76% with category effective. Based on results, study can conclude that game snake ladder chemistry as a learning medium on material reaction reduction and oxidation class X MAN 1 Padang Panjang very practical and effective.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh tersedianya media permainan ular tangga kimia berbasis konvensional namun belum tersedia media permainan ular tangga kimia berbasis android yang sesuai dengan tuntutan kurikulum Merdeka yakni dengan memanfaatkan penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis ICT. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan permainan ular tangga kimia berbasis android sebagai media pembelajaran pada materi struktur atom Fase E Kelas X dan menentukan validitasnya. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu Educational Design Research dengan model pengembangan plomp yang terdiri dari tiga tahap yaitu (1) preliminary research, (2) prototyping stage, (3) assessment phase. Penelitian ini dibatasi sampai tahap pembentukan prototype pada tahap III yaitu tahap Expert Review. Subjek penelitian adalah empat orang dosen kimia FMIPA UNP dan dua orang guru kimia SMA. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dengan penyebaran angket validitas (konten, konstruk dan technical media). Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan formula Aiken’s V. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh nilai validitas konten berkisar 0,88 – 0,92 dengan kategori valid, validitas konstruk 0,88 – 0,92 dengan kriteria valid dan technical media sebesar 0,88 – 0,92 dengan kriteria valid. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa permainan ular tangga kimia berbasis android sebagai media pembelajaran pada materi struktur atom Fase E kelas X yang dikembangkan Valid.
