Abstract

Defensive driving is a safe driving technique and applies all means to avoid or avoid accidents. Ambulance drivers to master the implementation of defensive driving there are many factors, one of which is knowledge and attitude. The objective of this research is to determine the relationship between knowledge and attitudes with the practice of pre-hospital ambulance drivers regarding defensive driving. This research uses the analytical survey method with a cross-sectional approach with a total sampling technique of 46 ambulance drivers and analyzed using Spearman Rank. Knowledge with a p-value of 0.032 and a correlation coefficient of 0.317*. Attitude with a p-value of 0.019 and a correlation coefficient of 0.345*. There is a significant relationship between knowledge and the practice of defensive driving for ambulance drivers and the higher the knowledge, the better the practice. There is a relationship between attitudes and the practice of defensive driving for ambulance drivers and the more supportive the attitude, the better the practice will be. Further researchers are advised to examine the factors that influence the behavior of ambulance drivers regarding defensive driving.

Abstract

Postoperative (post-op) percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) patients had complaints of pain including chest pain and pain in the area where the surgery was punctured. One of the actions that can be taken to reduce pain can be overcome with non-pharmacological therapy in the form of Benson relaxation techniques. This case study aims to describe nursing care for postoperative PCI patients who are given nursing actions using Benson relaxation techniques to reduce pain. The design of this case study uses a descriptive approach to the nursing care process with two respondents, by providing the Benson relaxation technique which is carried out for 2 x 15 minutes. Pain scale measurements were carried out before and after doing Benson relaxation. The pain scale measurement tool uses the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS). The results of this case study show that apart from being given pharmacological measures, the Benson relaxation technique can help patients reduce pain in post-op PCI patients, whereas in patients I and II after being given relaxation measures there is a change in the pain scale from a moderate pain scale to a mild pain scale. Giving Benson relaxation is effective in helping to reduce the scale of post-PCI surgery pain.

Abstract

Hospitals have an obligation to fulfil the patient’s right to obtain their safety and security while being treated in a hospital as a health service institution for the public. Patient Safety for the patient is a system that makes patient’s treatment safer, including risk assessment, identification and management of patient risk, analysis and reporting of incidents, competency to learn from follow-up incidents and implementation of solutions to minimize the risk and prevent injuries that caused by errors due a treatment. Patient Safety must be considered especially during the period of education, therefore RSGMP Unimus as a learning institution for health service organizers must be considered in this regard. The objective of this study is to measure the readiness of patient safety policies at the Dental and Oral Hospital, Muhammadiyah University, Semarang. This type of research is descriptive and quantitative by using a cross-sectional research design with the Focus Group Discussion technique. Based on the Sistem Nasional Akreditasi Rumah Sakit 1.1 questionnaire by the Komisi Akreditasi Rumah Sakit (KARS), RSGMP Unimus get a fairly good score and partially completed accreditation requirements for aspects of the assessment of Patient Safety Goals (SKP) and Integration of Health Education and Hospital Services (IPKP). Achievement of Patient Safety Goals and Integration of Health Education and Hospital Services at RSGMP Unimus based on the Standard Nasional Akreditasi Rumah Sakit (SNARS) 1.1 which was carried out with the Elemental Assessment of the Patient Safety Goals and Integration of Health Education and Hospital Services standard are partially completed from the SNARS 1.1 assessment with a score of 74.2% and 63.2% which indicates that RSGMP Unimus can make improvements to pass.
