Abstract

Investment growth in Padang is inseparable from the role of BPMPTSP of Padang City which has the vision to create excellent invesment licensing service to increase the number of investment in Padang.This is certainly supported by the use of appropriate communication strategies.Various communication strategy that have been done by BPMPTSP to invite domestic investors (PMDN) and foreign investors (PMA) to invest in Padang is as follows;1) Issuance of Regional Regulation Incentive No.11 of 2009 which provides convenience to the public in making a license at BPMPTSP;2) licensing service mechanism is clear and in accordance with Standard Operational Procedure; 3) Upgrading the licensing service system by building an internet network that can be accessed by the public.The implementation of this communication strategy is quite successful which can be seen from the increasing number of local investors and foreign investors in Padang.Keywords: Comunication Strategy, BPMPTSP, Public Service, PMDN, PMA

Abstract

Banyak cara yang dapat kita lakukan untuk mengenal kehidupan manusia di satu masa dan tempat. Salah satu cara yang paling populer adalah melalui pembacaan terhadap karya sastra yang bisa saja ditulis berdasarkan pada pengalamannya, pembacaannya terhadap referensi-referensi yang relevan, atau bahkan penggabungan antara keduannya. Penyampaian pesan melalui karya sastra dianggap sebagai cara yang paling efektif selama ini karena penulis dapat merefleksikan kehi-dupannya sesuai dengan ekspresi si penulis itu sendiri.Lahirnya sebuah karya sastra tak terlepas dari pengaruh kondisi lingkungan dan kemasyarakatan di tempat penulisnya. Pun karya sastra tidak akan ada sebagai bukti peradaban bila manusia pendu-kungnya tidak memedulikan ling-kungannya. Hal inilah yang men-jadikan karya sastra sebagai bukti yang diekspresikan oleh penulis sebagai refleksi terhadap kehidupan si penulis yang ingin disampaikannya pada pembaca. Sebagai pembaca pun kita dapat berbeda dalam meng-artikan sebuah karya sastra, sesuai dengan kemampuan kita dalam memahami pesan yang ingin disampaikan penulis.

Abstract

This study was carried out to look at the effect of participation in well known adventure mountaineering expeditions in Peninsular Malaysia, namely Chamah-Ulu Sepat and Trans Titiwangsa expeditions on the score of participants’ critical thinking skill. The study population were public university students who participated in one of the aforementioned expeditions within the period of data collection which was during the long break during the second semester academic session and the first semester of academic session. This study utilizes an established instrument developed by Watson and Glaser which is potentially able to help achieve the study objective, taking into consideration the validity and reliability of the construct and its suitability with the respondents. The findings of the study reveal that there is a significant difference between the score of critical thinking skill of the participants before and after the adventure climb.  However, mean scores between the two expeditions reveals that they do not differ significantly.Therefore, it can be concluded that students participation in mountaineering expeditions can be used as a training method to enhance their critical thinking skills. The study adds to another approach of increasing the level of critical thinking skill through adventure mountaineering expeditions in Peninsular Malaysia.Keywords: Critical Thinking Skills, Training and Development, Incidental Learning, Adventure Training

Abstract

Theoretically, in the context of the establishment of the democratic process, the existence of newspapers in political communication on the elections should be independent. It means that newspapers should be able to investigate in a professional, freely without bias from any parties, be objective in reporting the facts or events that occurred in the elections so as to form an opinion that does not harm anyone in increasing confidence of the people for making their choices. Methodologically, the independence of a newspaper can be measured by the Content Analysis Method in the editorial, whether the editor has the discretion to review the news, issues, or events that occur in the elections, or whether it was influenced or not influenced by certain parties, particularly candidates in the elections. In addition, the independence of the newspapers can also be seen from the attitude of the editor in the editorial, whether it be supportive, neutral, or not being supportive.Keywords: Existence, independency, political communication, local elections,  demo-cratic process

Abstract

This paper discusses gender as an increasingly melting identity. Real practice can be found in social media, where gender identity as one of the symbols in understanding the masculinity and femininity attributes of a person begins to appear in different ways. The male phenomenon that is thought to lose the identity of masculinity for using an attribute that is stereotypically used by women is often found in social media and its interactions. Media as a source of information, correlation, continuity, entertainment, and mobilization, consciously or unconsciously, has established a new perspective in describing gender identity. The identity displayed on social media no longer has to adapt the prevailing public stereotypes. In reality, gender identity is increasingly melting.Keywords : media, identity, gender, androgini

Abstract

Comic is one of the mass media product that is very popular in the 1950s. Indonesian Comic at beginning was only in form of strip comic in a newspaper and then came on demand from the public for the compiled strip comic. Then, up to the merged comic of Sri Asih, written by RA. Kosasih, and later known as the first comic indonesia which was written and painted by Indonesian native.Before the comic of sri asih arouse, the community were introduced by translated foreign comic that had been popular in their origin country. This research aims to define feminism originate in Sri Asih comic that described with qualitative research methodology. The comic of Sri Asih is analyzed by using Semiotics Charles Pierce which consists of sign, object and interpretation. The result showed that of abuse and violence against womens both in the verbal and nonverbal became the reason for the emergence of feminism in Sri Asih comic besides women situation that occurs in the 1950s and the publisher demands on RA Kosasih to make comic titled superheroes. This research also shows radical cultural feminism in Sri Asih comic as form of fight represented by Sri Asih in achieving the objective of gender equality between man and woman.Keywords: Feminism, Charles Pierce semiotics, Sri Asih Comics

Abstract

This article is abstracted from the results of research on the partnership system and the continuity of the work of cocoa farmers in Besowo Kediri village. One of the strategies used to support the sustainability of the workforce in cocoa farming is to increase cooperation in partnership with various parties or institutions, both government, private, and inter-farmers in the development of cocoa plantation. The structure of the writing begins with the introduction as the background to the selection of issues discussed in this paper. Then this article continued a description of the factors that affect the cocoa farming partnership system in Besowo. This section describes the workings of Besowo villagers, factors affecting the cocoa farming partnership system, and the partnership form of the cocoa farmer community in Besowo Village. The next section is to review the continuity of the work of production activities and the employment opportunities of cocoa farmers. The last is the conclusion of this paper by connecting partnerships and continuity of work to improve the welfare of the family of plantation farmers.Keywords: Partnership system, cocoa farmer, cocoa plantation

Abstract

Early childhood education (PAUD) is an educational and nurturing effort directed to children from birth to 6 years of age and aims to provide educational stimulus to help the growth and development of spiritual, physical and physical abilities, cognitive, affective, emotional, moral and religious abilities Optimally so that children can meet the needs of further education in a conducive, democratic and competitive education environment. This study focuses on interpersonal communication that occurs between teachers and children in the process of learning using the theory of 7 characteristics of interpersonal communication according to Reardon (1987), Effendy (1986), Peter and Samovar (1982). The results showed that in interpersonal communication, especially interpersonal communication that occurs between mentors with children in the learning process is often experiencing barriers among which researchers observe is the existence of psychological disorders in children is bored, sometimes the mood is not stabilized. While on the ecological disturbance, the atmosphere of the classroom is often noisy. In addition, the success of learning should be supported by instructional components consisting of messages in the form of learning materials, messenger, and background or situation conducive to the learning process.Keywords: Communication model, mentor, learning process, early children
