Abstract

The objective of this research was to investigate and analyze the Simultaneous Relationship of Regional Revenue Sources, Capital Expenditure, and HDI toward the Economic Growth in the Province of South Sumatra. The data used in this study were the panel data. The samples of the study were 15 regencies/cities in the period of 2008 – 2013. The analysis technique was the Two – Stage Least Squares (TSLS) by using the eviews 7 program. The estimation of the first simultaneous equation showed that Capital Expenditure and HDI simultaneously had a significant positive influence on the Economic Growth with the F probability value of 0.000000 < 0.05 (α = 5%), while the estimation of the second simultaneous equation indicated that the Local Own – Source Revenue, Revenue Sharing Fund, and General Allocation Fund Simultaneously had a significant positive influence on the Capital Expenditures with the probability value of 0.000000 < 0.05 (α = 5%). Keywords: Local Own – Source Revenue, Revenue Sharing Fund, General Allocation Fund, Capital Expenditures, HDI, and Economic Growth

Abstract

There has not been a good integration among the central, provincial, and regional levels in the allocation of the budget, thus making the impact of plantation development activities less effective and efficient. This study aimed to analyze the potential of the region and create a pattern for the development of rubber commodity plantations in Musi Rawas District. This study was conducted by analyzing the data and literature review, conducting focus group discussions, mapping and digitizing the potential for rubber commodities using satellite imagery. With the position of the region that is included in the growing stage, the development of the area is directed first for on-farm development. The development of the region is carried out by increasing the production and productivity of rubber plants in Musi Rawas District by replanting and intensifying the rubber plants. The activity strategy focuses more on how to increase the productivity of rubber plants so as to produce high quality claret processing materials (BOKAR) and rubber wood. The development strategy is centered in Tuah Negeri sub-district as the center of the Area and other surrounding sub-districts as supporting Areas. Therefore, in order to achieve these production targets, the strategy taken in developing rubber-based plantation areas is the incorporation and strengthening of the rubber agribusiness system.

Abstract

This research was aimed at identifying the influence of SBI’s Rates and Inflation on Third-party Fund in Indonesia. It consisted of three variables: Third-party Fund, SBI’s Rates, and inflation. It used secondary data published in reports of Bank Indonesia in the period of 1984. It used a quantitative multiple regression analysis and Autoregressive Moving Average (ARMA) approaches. The research result shows that the SBI’s and Inflation simultaneously had a significant influence on Third-party Fund. The obtained R2 coefficient value was 0.944. It means that such influence reached 94% and the rest of 6% was influenced by other factors. The SBI’s Rates had a positive influence on the third-party fund as shown by the coefficient of 0.651888. Conversely, the inflation had a negative influence on the Third party fund as shown by the coefficient of -0.2432. Keywords: third-party fund, SBI rates, inflation.

Abstract

This research is intended to analyze the effect of industrial concentration on industrial Performance of Salt Industry in Palembang. Industrial concentration is described  by concentration ratio of two largest firms (CR2) of output value. Growth wage rate is used to measure wage performance of Salt Industry in Palembang over aperiod  1994-2003. Industrial  Organization  Theory and  Wage Theoryare used to analyze  the performance  of salt industry during the years of 1994-2003. The data that used in this research are secondary data and primary data. The technique analysis used in this research is simple linier regression model. The results indicate that the concentration ratio of two largest firms (CR2) for output value effect on growth wage rate is equal to 10,7 percent and corelating between both variables is equal to 32,6 percent. The statistic   test   (t-test) indicates that industrial concentration effect on the industrial performances is significant. Therefore it can be concluded that industrial concentration which is measured by concentration ratio output value and industrial performance which is measured by growth wage rate have a positive relationship. Abstract

This study was aimed at finding the development and influence oh industry concentration on the efficiency of the soy sauce industry in Indonesia. The data were secondary ones taken from 1993 – 2011. This study was based on the theory of industrial organization, industrial concentration, and industrial efficiency. Descriptive quantitative was the method in this study. The degree of the industrial efficiency in soy sauce industry was influenced by the number of companies operating and producing soy sauce. The degree of industrial concentration in soy sauce industry was measured by using value added in industrial concentration divided by the number of soy sauce companies. The degree of soy sauce industrial concentration in the last year of observation was 7296550.747. The degree of industrial efficiency in the last year of observation was 0.91. There was a positive influence of the industrial concentration on the industrial efficiency. It was found that 50 % of the efficiency variable was influenced by the degree of industrial concentration. The rest was influenced by other factors. Keywords: Concentration, efficiency, soy sauce industry, value added

Abstract

The Easterlin Paradox triggers the use of happiness as a measure of Wellbeing. The welfare can be measured by monetary measurement and comprehensive to subjective measurement, one of which is social capital. This study shows the influence of social capital on the level of individual happiness in Indonesia. The study uses the 2007 and 2014 Indonesia Family Life Survey (IFLS) data. Using the Logit Regression Panel, the results show a positive influence on social capital, which contains trust, social networks, and sanctions and norms on several dimensions on the level of individual happiness. We also found that individual happiness levels are based on age, marital status, income level, education level, health status. Therefore, we need programs that prioritize community participation to increase informal social interaction and the need for effective programs to accelerate community income.

Abstract

Monetary expansion is the monetary policy pursued by the monetary authority by adding the amount of currency in circulation so that the total amount of money in circulation increases. Added Theoretically the money supply would encourage economic actors (consumers, producers and traders) to increase its activity which affects the increase in aggregate demand. This study will prove whether empirically (especially for the Indonesian economy) increase the money supply will boost aggregate demand. Authentication is done by using a sequential model equation (equation partial) which is a series of simple linear model using OLS and test methods hypotesia "t". The results of this study showed a positive policy of monetary expansion and significant effect on increasing aggregate demand (AD), as well as with all components of aggregate demand (consumption, investment, Gevernen spending, exports, and imports). Keywords: Monetary expansion, Aggregate Demand
