The aims of this MJA is to provide a venue for academicians, researchers, and practitioners for publishing the original research articles or review articles. The scope of Architecture published in this journal deals about Architecture and its related discussion periodically. The aims of this journal is to disseminate research findings, ideas, and review in architectural studies SCIENTIFIC AREAS: Building (architecture) and Urban/Regional Study: theory, history, technology, landscape and site planning, behavioral, social and cultural, structure and construction, traditional architecture, criticism, digital architecture, urban design /planning, housing and settlements, and other related discussion Architecture Education and Practice: curriculum/studio development, work opportunities and challenges, globalization, locality, professionalism, code of ethics, project managerial, financing, etc. Review of Architectural Works Other Related Disciplines (will be reviewed by Editors) which may become interdisciplinary discussion and stimulate architecture insight, such as environment planning, economic development, development policy, tourism.

Abstract

HIV / AIDS is a global problem. Statistical data on the number of people with HIV / AIDS in Merauke is increasing from (in 2010 to 2013). People with HIV / AIDS have not received adequate health care facilities and support. Meanwhile, discrimination against people with HIV / AIDS still applies in society. The purpose of this study is; (1) designing PLHIV Support Centers in Merauke that are equipped with supporting facilities, and (2) planning and designing precisely so that there is no discrimination against PLWHA with a Tropical Modern Architecture Approach.

Abstract

The term industry is often identified with all human economic activities that process raw goods or raw materials into semi-finished goods or finished goods. From this definition, the term industry is often referred to as manufacturing activities. The animal feed industry is an industry that carries out processing, testing of feeds and promotion of animal feed produced to farmers in increasing livestock production of higher quality. Data collection in research is very important to answer the problem in research. The method used is through written questions submitted to the informant (Head of the Livestock Service Office). In this case, the data collection methods that researchers use in this study, namely observation and interviews. Research interview is a research method which includes collecting data through direct question and answer interaction between interviewer (researcher) and respondent (informant) to gather as much information as possible on the problem under study.

Abstract

The Diesel Power Plant (PLTD) currently used in Merauke has a capacity of only 12.6 MW, while the peak load reaches 17.39 MW, resulting in frequent power outages in Merauke Regency. Additionally, the location of PLTD Kelapa V in the city center causes significant noise pollution, disturbing nearby residents. To address these issues, a new PLTD with a capacity of 100 MW is needed in the warehouse and industrial sector, utilizing a techno-architecture design approach. This research employs data collection methods such as interviews, documentation, books, reports, literature studies, journals, site analysis, and building analysis. The result of this study is the design of a diesel power plant with a techno-architecture approach that can enhance the power and performance capacity of PLTD Kelapa V, ensuring adequate electricity supply for Merauke.

Abstract

sports that facilitate a variety of indoor sports in the city of Merauke are inadequate. Neo Verracular is an architectural design concept that mixes modern aspects and traditions, so an indoor sports facility design in Merauke City is needed with the Neo Vernacular Architecture Approach. Using the Descriptive Method to determine the elements, traits, traits or phenomena. This method starts by collecting data and analyzing data that is carried out through survey techniques, case studies, comparative studies, studies of time and motion, behavior analysis and documentary analysis. The data obtained will be used as a reference in the Design of Indoor Sports Facilities in the City of Merauke with the Neo Vernacular Architecture Approach.

Abstract

Catholic Youth Center adalah suatu wadah pemusatan segala kegiatan generasi muda katolik yang menyangkut kegiatan kerohanian, berekreasi, berinovasi, dan pengembangan bakat. Perancangan Catholic Youth Center dapat menjadi fasilitas yang nyaman bagi orang muda katolik dan dapat menjadi wadah yang menunjang seluruh kegiatan orang muda katolik di Kabupaten Merauke. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptis yaitu metode yang dilakukan melalui survei, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Data yang diperoleh dapat menjadi acuan perancangan Catholic Youth Center. Perancangan Catholic Youth Center menggunakan pendekatan Arsitektur Modern Tropis dengan fasilitasnya yaitu fasilitas edukasi, fasilitas spiritual, fasilitas musik, fasilitas pengelola, fasilitas olahraga, fasilitas service dan fasilitas kafetaria. Penerapan pendekatan Arsitektur Modern Tropis diharapkan dapat mengoptimalkan pencahayaan dan penghawaan alami pada fasilitas ini dengan menata bangunan dan sirkulasi bangunan terhadap iklim tropis, sehingga memperoleh perancangan bangunan yang baik dan nyaman didalam maupun diluar bangunan.
