Abstract

This research was conducted on March-April 2017, it aims to: 1) knowing the factors that affect rice production. 2) knowing the efficiency level of using production factors in rice farming. The method of this research is using the survey method, and the method of sample is using simple random sampling methods by as much as 36 people. The analysis tool that used is a function of the Cobb Douglas production and efficiency analysis of rice farming. The results showed that: 1) commodious area variables, seed, and urea fertilizer is real influential toward rice farming production, whereas the factors of production on using KCl fertilizer, SP 36 fertilizer, pesticides, and labor real has no effect toward rice production. 2) the use of production factors on rice farming (seed, and urea fertilizer) are on a condition that is not efficient. The use of inefficient production factors can cause low productivity so that rice farming production levels become low.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the factors of production that significantly affect the production of rice farming, consisting of two factors, namely land and experience of farmers in farming in the real level of 95%. While factors of production such as seed, fertilizer, labor, and education have no effect on the real significance of the set. Village studio Studio District Palangga Sub-district of Kabupaten Konawe South. The population was 55 as respondents. Determining the sample done by simple random sampling. Analysis of the data used is analysis Cob Douglas. The results showed that the respondents receiving an average of Rp25,541,818. Once it is recognized revenue of Rp. 19,497,227.

Abstract

Livestock in Kusambi is one of the agriculture sub-sectors that have the largest production output among other sub-sectors. The present study aims to analyze the commodity which is base and non-base in Kusambi, West Muna and factors causing a commodity which is base and non-base in Kusambi, West Muna. The data of this study were typically secondary data. Data were analyzed by using Location Quotient, Dynamic Location Quotient, and descriptive analysis. The result showed that: (1) Livestock commodities that became the base in Kusambi were cattle, goat, chicken, and duck while the horse, buffalo, and domestic poultry were non-base commodities. (2) Livestock commodities that would be the present and the future bases were goat and chicken, non-base commodities in the present and in the future were a horse, buffalo, and domestic poultry, base commodities in the present but did not become base in the future were cattle, domestic poultry, and duck. (3) Factors causing livestock commodities being base and non-base was supported by internal and external factors. Internal factors as a base and non-base commodities were generally caused by high rate production, having experience in raising, large area, and stock. While external factors supporting commodities became base and non-base such as supply, a livestock facility, and infrastructure, climate, the selling price of the livestock, and government policy.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the unequal production of cayenne pepper in all regency cities in Southeast Sulawesi, Resulting in the distribution to some regions that cause price changes that may occur at any time. Changes in the price of cayenne pepper are used by intermediary traders to manipulate prices at the consumer level and at the producer level, the data shows that between 1992 and 2014 there was a difference between the price of cayenne pepper between the consumer market and the producer market. The purpose of this study was to analyze the vertical integration of commodity market of cayenne pepper (Capsicum frutescens L.) in Southeast Sulawesi. This research was conducted in January 2017 until May 2017. The data used are secondary data sourced from Disperindag and BPS in the form of time series data from 1992 to 2014. The analysis method used is Johansen Cointegration and Vector Error Correction Model (VECM). The results show that the vertical market of cayenne pepper between producers and consumers in Southeast Sulawesi has been integrated with the long term, While in the short term there has been no integration of producer and consumer markets. Where price relation occurs only one direction that producer price influence consumer price while consumer price does not influence producer price, If both markets are interconnected then the market is integrated. Based on this, it is expected that the active role of extension agents and farmer groups to provide price information, So that producers, can know the price information that occurs at the consumer level vice versa.

Abstract

This research was conducted in Pudonggala Village, Sawa Sub-district of North Konawe Regency from May until July 2017. This study was aimed to determine the value of productivity obtained by each paddy farmer namely between owner farmers and tenant farmer, and to analyze the differences in productivity of paddy farming between owner farmer and tenant farmer. Data were collected through observation, interview using questionnaire, and recording. Data analysis was used in this research is independent sample t-test. The results showed that in wetland paddy farming in Pudonggala Village, Sawa Sub-district of North Konawe Regency the average production of paddy in profit sharing system had equal to 3.081 kg with average productivity equal to 3.627 kg/ha. While average production of paddy in oned land had equal to 5,081 kg with average productivity equal to 3,745 kg/ha. In addition, the result of independent sample t-test shows that the productivity variable had at-value of 2,254. This t-value was bigger than the value of t-table at the 95% of confidence level namely 1,711, which means that there was a significant difference of productivity of wetland paddy between profit sharing systems with owned land.
