Abstract

Message encoding is an art and science to maintain news or data, learn mathematical techniques related to aspects of information security such as data confidentiality, data validity, data integrity, and data authentication. The process of encoding and inserting messages with the Vigenere Cipher and LSB methods is the first step in inputting text and keyword files, then text files and keywords are converted into decimal numbers, then processed according to the Vigenere Cipher formula, the ciphertext is then transformed into binary form it is inserted into the image by means of each bit of the ciphertext in the last bit of the image, so it is expected that the data sent is not easy to read by third parties. The vigenere cipher algorithm and the LSB (Last Significant Bit) technique can be used as a solution for the security of secret messages that are inserted into the image, can be re-revealed exactly the same as the original form and do not experience the slightest damage.

Abstract

The human face recognition system is one of the fields that is quite developed at this time, where applications can be applied in the field of security (security system) such as permission to access room, surveillance (surveillance), as well as the search for individual identities in the police database. The face recognition approach aims to detect faces in 2-dimensional images and sequential images of videos that have many methods such as local, global, and hybrid approaches.  Hidden Model Markov (HMM) is another promising method that works well for images with different lighting variations, facial expressions, and orientations. HMM is a set of statistical models used to characterize signal properties. An artificial neural network-based approach is learned from image examples and relies on techniques from machine learning to find relevant facial image characteristics. The characteristics studied were in the form of discriminant functions (ie non-linear decision surfaces), then used for face recognition. In this study there will be an application to compare Hidden Markov Models and Neural Network Method as a Face Recognition Technology Algorithm Model.

Abstract

Tadulako University is the largest tertiary institution in Central Sulawesi and every year new students are registered to Tadulako University comes from inside and outside Central Sulawesi Province. Prospective students from various regions certainly many are looking for information on the campus area, especially in the Faculty of Engineering, the University of Tadulako through existing media. Seeing this, the authors conducted a research aiming to make a digital mapping of the Tadulako University Faculty of Engineering based on the Geographic Information System (GIS) application using the website, and at the same time giving directions to the location of the room using 360-degree photos and how to utilize the Tadulako University Faculty of Engineering Mapping for determine the location on the website. The method used is to use Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and the results of the study that the author found is using the HyperText Preprocessor (PHP) programming language and JavaScript and retrieve data from 360 degrees as many as 245 photo locations in each Department of Engineering at the University of Tadulako with 1-time taking photos requires 40 times the taking of 360-degree objects with a distance between one room with another so that it connects the existing mapping at the Department of Engineering, Tadulako University using the website.

Abstract

Stunting or dwarf is a condition where a toddler has a length or height that is less when compared to age. There are five main factors causing stunting, namely poverty, social and culture, inceased exposure to infectious diseases, food insecurity and public access to health services. C4.5 algorithm is a data classification algorithm with a decision tree method that has advantages such as being able to process numeric (continuous) and discrete data, rules that are formed based on exiting decision tree, the main factors causing stunting in the Dulupi sub – district, Boalemo Regency, are Health Facilities and exclusive breastfeeding for babies 0 – 6 months.

Abstract

The population in Indonesia is growing, causing population density in an area. One of the impacts of population density in an area is that it causes job opportunities in that area to become smaller, so that the unemployment rate increases. To overcome this problem, the government moved or spread the population from a densely populated area to another area with a small population with the aim of improving the economy and opening up agricultural land in the region. However, problems in the field include the limited quota of transmigrant participants from the central government. So it makes it difficult to choose or make decisions to determine potential transmigration participants. This study aims to assist the government in making decisions to determine suitable transmigrant candidates using the TOPSIS(Technique for Order Preference By Similiarity To Ideal Solution) method. Application development using the prototype method with blackbox testing. Decision Support System Applications Determining prospective transmigrants can assist users (government) in determining eligible transmigrant candidates with the criteria desired by the government.

Abstract

Controlling birth is closely related to the use of contraceptives for their partners. However, the problem they often face is that they struggle to choose an effective contraceptive that suits their body condition. This is not only caused by the limited methods available but also because they do not know the requirements and safety of these contraceptive methods. This study aims to implement and analyze the comparison of the Weight Product (WP) method and the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method in a web-based contraceptive selection decision-making system. This system can work well in determining the right contraception for a married couple. In the time testing process, the implementation of the SAW method has an average execution time of 1.8784 s while the WP method has an average execution time of 0.3340 s. Based on the research results, the WP method is slightly faster than the SAW method in carrying out the calculation process in the decision support system for the selection of contraceptives.

Abstract

The skin is the outermost part of the human body tissue that functions to wrap the body and provide protection for the tissues under it. In the human body, the skin includes all general tissues, including facial skin. If the skin has problems such as inflammation, reddish rash, itching, or infection, it can cause skin diseases ranging from mild to severe. In this study, will be explained about a website-based expert system by implementing the Forward Chaining and Certainty Factor methods to help diagnose and calculate the percentage of skin disease,  so that the general public can recognize the skin diseases they suffer from. The community can detect skin diseases by selecting symptoms and diseases based on the conditions experienced and obtaining information on solutions and early management of the disease they suffer from.

Abstract

Checking the similarity of Final Project (TA) titles can be done by building a similarity detection application and implementing methods to determine the similarity of these TA titles. The method used is the Rabin Karp method, which is a word search method that searches for a pattern in the form of a substring using the hash. The data used in this study are student data and data on the 2016-2018 academic year of the Informatics Engineering Department at Tanah Laut State Polytechnic. The results of the similarity experiment can be divided into 3 (three) parts, namely not similar, somewhat similar, and very similar. It is said to be not similar if the percentage of the equation is 0% -20% as happened in k-gram 6 to k-gram 10. While it is somewhat similar if the percentage is between 21%-55% as seen in k-gram 3, k- gram 4, and k-gram 5. For very similar categories based on the percentage above 56% seen in k-gram 1 and k-gram 2. So it can be concluded that the more or greater the value of k-grams, the smaller the percentage results obtained, on the contrary, if the smaller the value of k-grams, the higher the percentage value.

Abstract

Clove production in Tolitoli Regency, which is spread across all sub-districts, is a producer of cloves. The role of the Plantation Office in categorizing and mapping which sub-districts produces clove production is in the highest or last category. This study conducted grouping of clove-producing areas using the K-means algorithm clustering method, the K-means algorithm has a sensitive problem in determining the partition number of clusters (k), to determine whether the determined cluster is optimal, clustering evaluation is carried out with the Devies Bouldin Index (DBI). This study resulted in three groups producing the most, medium, and few cloves, the results of the evaluation with 3 clusters were optimal for the Devies Bouldin Index (DBI) of 0.390. It was found that the Districts of Damsel, Dampal Utara, Dondo, Basidondo, Lampasio, Dakopamean, and North Tolitoli were included in Cluster 1 (one), Baolan District, Galang into Cluster 2 (two), and Ogoideide in Cluster 3 (three).

Abstract

The research is aimed at designing a decision-making system for the determination of credit using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). Determining the provision of credit is still done manually so it takes a long time for data processing, as well as the assessment made by the leadership in determining the feasibility of the loan is still subjective. The research design used is a structured Unified Modeling Language (UML) that consists of the design of model use case diagrams, activity diagrams, sequence diagrams, and class diagrams, while programming languages use PHP, JavaScript, and MySql for database processing. The method used in obtaining results is Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). The result of the design of the decision-making system for the determination of credit using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), among others, provides the calculation of the expansion of credit and can provide a credit feasibility report for the customer who has filed.
