Abstract

This study aims to: (1) produce debating teaching materials based on a model of jurisprudence in Wahdah Islamiyah Makassar High School IT; (2) examine the feasibility of debating material teaching materials based on the model of jurisprudence in class X SMA IT Wahdah Islamiyah Makassar. This  research was designed with research and development. The design of this study is R2D2 (Recursive, Reflective Design and Development Model). The data in this study are qualitative and quantitative data from the assessment of experts and practitioners. Qualitative data comes from comments, criticisms, and suggestions from expert and practitioner evaluations of teaching materials. Quantitative data is sourced from scores of expert and practitioner evaluations of the components of teaching materials. The data analysis technique of this study is qualitative data analysis and quantitative data analysis. Qualitative data analysis, namely grouping data and concluding data in the form of comments, suggestions, and criticism from experts and practitioners to improve teaching materials and quantitative data analysis that is looking for the average of each indicator of expert judgment and practitioners for product feasibility. Components of the results of the assessment of teaching materials indicate that the component of content eligibility obtained an average of 3.39, the presentation component of 3.53, the language component of 3.47, the graphic component of 3.64, and the implications for developing competency debating 3.83. This research and development resulted in the product of the Arguing Teaching Material Based on a Model of jurisprudence that had been assessed by experts and practitioners. The results of expert and practitioner evaluations of teaching materials indicate that the assessment is in a very feasible category.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the style and language of TGB communication in public studies of the 77th, 79th, and 80th NWDI rituals. This type of research uses qualitative descriptive method. Qualitative research method is a research method used to examine the condition of natural objects, where researchers are as a key instrument, data collection techniques are done in triangulation, data  analysis is inductive, and qualitative research results emphasize the meaning of generalization. The data and data sources in this research are 77,797 and 80 public lecture videos of NWDI, downloaded from youtube. The problem discussed in this research is how communication style and rhetoric of TGB da'wah in public study of 77th, 79th, and 80th NWDI rituals. TGB communication style is a combination of low context communication style and positive side of high context communication characterized by the delivery style firm, straightforward, clear, peaceful, cool, calm, and able to play the rhythm when lecturing. The form of TGB's rhetoric of da'wah is a merging of aspects of rhetoric with forms of rhetoric. Aspects of rhetoric are diction, code transfer, code mixing, and politeness. The forms of TGB rhetoric are seen from the style of languages and non-languages. Both are very influential in the rhetoric of TGB preaching. The rhetorical perspectives are due to the application of the language style has been adjusted to the condition of pilgrims and place of application.

Abstract

One element of the competence of Indonesian language learners for foreign speakers (BIPA) A1 is mastering the knowledge of the use of pronouns. In the field of linguistics, person pronouns can be called person pronouns. This descriptive study describes the person pronouns in the KLA Project song lyrics, like song “Yogyakarta”, “Gerimis”, “Tak Bisa ke Lain Hati”, “Bunda”, and “Dunia Baru”. The KLA Project songs can be used as a medium for mastering the linguistic knowledge of foreign speakers (BIPA) A1, especially the person pronouns. Based on the results of the analysis of KLA Project song lyrics, there is a single person pronoun singular (-ku, ku-, aku), second person pronoun singular (-mu, dikau, engkau, kau-), third person pronoun singular (-nya), third person pronoun plural (mereka), and inclusive person pronoun (kita). KLA Project song lyrics that contain the person pronoun are used as  teaching material for BIPA A1 speakers through crosword puzzles (Teka-Teki Silang, TTS) and see and complete the lyrics.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) describe the ability of student to uncover the implicit meaning of short stories before applying critical reading strategies in grade VII student of Marioriawa State Middle School 3 Soppeng Regency; (2) describe the ability of student to uncover the implicit meaning of short stories after applying critical reading strategies in grade VII student of Marioriawa State Middle School 3 Soppeng Regency; and (3) knowing the effect of critical reading strategies on the ability to uncover the implicit meanings of short story texts in class VII students of Marioriawa 3 Public Middle School, Soppeng District. This type of research is quantitative research with a pre-experimental design using test techniques namely the initial test (pretest) and the final test (posttest). The sample of this study was the seventh grade students of Marioriawa State Middle School 3 Soppeng Regency, amounting to 45 people. The data collection technique used is the test technique. The results showed that there was a significant effect of critical reading on the ability to express the implicit meaning of short stories.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of Problem Based Learning (PBL) to the ability in writing poetry of student in class VII MTs. Hizbul Wathan NW Shemaiah year 2018/2019. The method used in this research is the experimental method. This study design using true experimental design. The sampling technique used simple random sampling, VII A class as an experimental class and VII B as the control class. The data analysis technique used to test the hypothesis by using t. After test data analysis, the result for the t count = 2.33 and t table = 2,02 at significance level of 5%. Because t count> t table (2.33> 2.02) so H0 is rejected and Ha accepted which means that learning to use the model of Problem Based Learning is more effective than conventional learning models. Based on the results of hypothesis testing concluded that the use of Problem Based Learning model of proper use by teachers to see the students' ability to write poetry. Quantitative and qualitative results of student  poetry was very satisfying. The learning process is very effective and fun to affect the ability to write poetry of student in class VII MTs. Hizbul Wathan NW Shemaiah Year 2018/2019.

Abstract

A news reporter has different characters in writing news or has their own characteristics in writing news. This study analyzes sports news in terms of the form and meaning of language style, as well as the dominant form that is characteristic in writing sports news in Cirebon News. This research uses a qualitative research approach. The data in this study were sourced from the November 2018 edition of Kabar Cirebon. This study uses several stages of data analysis, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that there are 71 forms of language style in the Cirebon news sports news. In this case, 71 forms of language style, there are 13 types of language styles, namely one form of language style of erotesis, one form of language style of cynicism, one form of language style of eponyms, one form of language style of pleonasm, two forms of style of language antonomasia, one form of language style asindeton, five forms of polysindeton language style, 14 forms of sinekdoke language style, six forms of epithetic language style, five forms of prolepsis language style, 17 forms of metaphorical language style, four forms of anticlimax language style, and 8 forms of climax language style. The meaning contained in each form of language style has its own meaning and is related to one another. The dominant form of language used in sports news in Kabar Cirebon is the form of a metaphorical style of language.
