Abstract

This study aims to: (1) describe the ability of student to uncover the implicit meaning of short stories before applying critical reading strategies in grade VII student of Marioriawa State Middle School 3 Soppeng Regency; (2) describe the ability of student to uncover the implicit meaning of short stories after applying critical reading strategies in grade VII student of Marioriawa State Middle School 3 Soppeng Regency; and (3) knowing the effect of critical reading strategies on the ability to uncover the implicit meanings of short story texts in class VII students of Marioriawa 3 Public Middle School, Soppeng District. This type of research is quantitative research with a pre-experimental design using test techniques namely the initial test (pretest) and the final test (posttest). The sample of this study was the seventh grade students of Marioriawa State Middle School 3 Soppeng Regency, amounting to 45 people. The data collection technique used is the test technique. The results showed that there was a significant effect of critical reading on the ability to express the implicit meaning of short stories.

Abstract

The study aims to discover; 1) The dynamics of Pappalimbang on Jeneberang River, 2) The Socio-Economic Life of Pappalimbang on the Jeneberang River. The type of this study is historical research with a sociological approach. The historical method used to discover the track record of Pappalimbang Socio-Economic life on Jeneberang River in Gowa district in 1985-2020 by interviewing various sources. The results of the study reveal that 1) The dynamics of Pappalimbang progressed and developed over time, which used to only use bamboo that was linked together and used oars, now it uses an engine, and the boat is made of special wood where the two boats are put together so they can load motorcycles. 2) The Socio-Economic life of the Taeng Village community tends to be influenced by Pappalimbang activities. Pappalimbang helps residents get jobs with sufficient wages to meet their needs, and their daily activities have many interactions in Pappalimbang because the Taeng Village community and its surroundings are very dependent on Pappalimbang so people can avoid congestion.

Abstract

Pandemi Covid-19 menjadi masalah serius yang memiliki dampak yang sangat besar terhadap kehidupan manusia di seluruh bagian dunia. Penyebaran virus sars cov-2 yang sangat cepat membuat pemerintah menetapkan beberapa tindakan pencegahan yang penting untuk mencegah penularannya. Salah satu cara yang digunakan adalah dengan menyemprotkan larutan disinfektan yang mampu meminimalisasi pertumbuhan dan mematikan virus ini. Namun dalam kenyataannya, masyarakat masih memiliki pengetahuan yang minim mengenai pemanfaatan larutan secara tepat ini dalam kehidupan sehari-hari guna mencegah penyebaran virus. Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah memberikan pengetahuan kepada masyarakat mengenai pentingnya membersihkan lingkungan sekitar dengan larutan disinfektan dan cara penyemprotan larutan ini dengan tepat sesuai dengan standar yang ditetapkan oleh World Health Organization (WHO) sehingga efek samping yang dihasilkannya tidak memberi dampak negatif kepada makhluk hidup di sekitar area penyemprotan. Sasaran masyarakat dari pengabdian ini adalah masyarakat desa ujung baji kabupaten takalar. Hasil yang diperoleh dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah  semua peserta yang telah mengikuti kegiatan ini telah memiliki pengetahuan yang baik tentang tata cara membuat larutan disinfektan dengan komposisi yang tepat serta mampu menerapkan proses penyemprotan sesuai dengan standar yang telah ditetapkan oleh lembaga kesehatan dunia

Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of this study is to obtain data and information about the effectiveness of Google Classroom as a learning medium in reading learning to understand German language for students of class XI MIA MAN 1 Makassar. This research is a quasi-experimental research with the form of Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The research population was students of class XI MIA MAN 1 Makassar, the samples in the study were selected randomly (random sampling), which students of class XI MIA 4 as the experimental class and students of class XI MIA 3 as the control class. Data were analyzed using t-test analysis which showed the value of t count = 4.347 ≥ t table = 2.03, with a significance level of 0.05. The results of this study indicate that the Google Classroom learning media is effective in reading learning to understand German language of students in Class XI MAN 1 Makassar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji sintesis hibrid komposit berbahan dasar hidroksiapatit dari cangkang telur dan MgO dari serbuk cangkang kemiri. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menyelidiki pengaruh penambahan MgO yang diekstraksi dari serbuk cangkang kemiri  dengan variasi massa 0%, 10%, 20% dan 30% terhadap kekuatan mekanik dan struktur mikro hidroksiapatit yang disintesis dengan metode presipitasi. Sampel hibrid komposit disintesis dengan cara kedua bahan diaduk dengan gelatin sebagai perekatnya kemudian dipelet dan dipress selama 30 menit lalu dioven selama 2 jam pada suhu 110 oC. Hasil XRD yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa tidak terjadi perbedaan yang signifikan dari segi fase kristal yang terbentuk. Struktur morfologi sampel hibrid komposit dengan penambahan serbuk cangkang kemiri sebesar 20% menunjukkan bahwa hidroksiapatit dan serbuk cangkang kemiri belum terjadi ikatan kimia, melainkan hanya terjadi ikatan mekanik. Struktur hibrid komposit yang dihasilkan dari FTIR menunjukkan bahwa puncak pada bilangan gelombang (cm-1) untuk setiap spektrum sampel hibrid komposit tidak terjadi pergeseran pita serapan yang signifikan pada setiap sampel dan gugus fungsi yang terbentuk yaitu PO43-, OH, C=O, CO32- dan MgO. Pengujian kuat tekan dan kuat lentur sampel hibrid komposit menunjukkan bahwa penambahan serbuk cangkang kemiri tidak membuat kekuatan mekanik hidroksiapatit lebih baik jika dibandingkan dengan tanpa penambahan serbuk cangkang kemiri.

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to know the planning, implementation, and results of applying the Uno Stacko game in the speaking skills the students of SMA Negeri 1 Gowa. The research data consists of two types data, namely qualitative and quantitative. Qualitative data were obtained through observation and analyzed using descriptive methods. Quantitative data were obtained from the results of German speaking skill tests and were analyzed using percentage techniques. The results obtained in the first cycle reached 50,2% and in the second cycle reached 78%. This means that the Uno Stacko game can improve the German speaking skills of SMA Negeri 1 Gowa students.Keyword: Uno Stacko, speaking skill, German language.
