Jurnal Magister Ilmu Komunikasi is an academic journal published twice annually (June-December) by Department of Communication in Master Degree of Universitas Bunda Mulia. This journal publishes original researches in multi concepts, theories, perspectives, paradigms and methodologies on postmodernism in communications studies perspective. Focus of Bricolage : Jurnal Magister Ilmu Komunikasi is posmodernism in communication studies perspective and the scope of journal (but not limited to) are: (1) Corporate Communication; (2) Marketing & Tourism Communication; (3) Media Studies; (4) Cultural Studies; (5) Feminism Studies; and (6) Philosophy of Communication.

Abstract

Nowadays, traditional media to advertise is shifting to the online media. The millenias beccome the vital factor. Further, the technology and the habit to watch ads are important items on it. The habit of this group make online ads are too close. Looking back at the traditional ads media, online ads have some factor to achieve such as informations, entertainment, credibility, economic, and the ads value. This research aims to figure out the impact of those fators to attitude towards online advertising (ATOA) and online behavior (OB) at the millenias. Using SMART PLS 3.0, 100 respondents results that ATOA is not influenced by entertainment and the ads value. Animated and the millenias track record of browsing could be a consideration to the goal. Youtube is one of the spesific online media that could be used for the researches to find out more about the milllenias attitudes towards online advertising. Abstract

Development model is always correlated with the Communication model evolves. Growth model to produce a top-down communication, Model Trickle down effect has resulted in a double take a step communication model. The Models turned out to create a gap of knowledge. The failure of the growth paradigm demands that the integral between growth and social intervention. These demands will have implications on the formation of interactive communication model development perspective. Although this perspective shortage theoretical foundation, this perspective provides the main instructions for implementing communication research. Abstract

Historical text from now on could be see in a visual form. Along with the technology, the interpretation about the past and its prominent figures become more plural. The audiences have been served the visual historiography (historiopothy) when they watched the biopic or any other historical movies. This visual historiography has a strong and weakness sides. On the positive side, we can see how the historical text is getting more fluid. There is no monopoly on the systematic historiography and single interpretation about what happened in the past. But another problem comes form on the other side about the competence and subjectivity of the historical author themselves.Keywords: discourse, narration, postmodernism, visual historiography

Abstract

Studies on the identity are being learned widely, mostly focus on specific groups. The reality we face today is shows the different conditions, because Indonesia has Pancasila as the state philosophy that clearly asserts the motto of "Bhinneka Tunggal Ika". Actually, the spirit that brought ethnic diversity want to be placed in a proper understanding in order to avoid inter-ethnic conflict. The thought has not been led to reform the nation's cultural identity because the implementation is still far from reality. Eddie Lembong (2013) created the „Cross Culture Fertilization‟ concept or „The Cross-fertilization of Culture‟ idea of Paul Monroe (1928), while the form of the pollination contemplated in the process of cross-cultural thinking involves human interaction with a particular context. It needs to be enhanced by adopting the Rosenau‟s idea (2004) about the cultural hybridity in which the establishment of a culture based on the complexity of the dimensions of a person's life. The tangible implementation of cultural hybridity as a mirror of pluralistic nation identity exemplified through observation on the case studies and mass media of a national movie entitled “Tanda Tanya” ("Question Mark"). Abstract

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is an external activity of a corporate undertaken for the benefit of society. It is expected to facilitate good relationship between the corporate and society. The purpose of this research is to describe Corporate Social Responsibility activity in favor of improving education in society. Research method was using an approach of qualitative descriptive in the case of PT. Pertamina Refinery Unit VI Balongan. Data was collected through conducting in-depth interview, observing, and implementing FGD. The results showed that CSR activity was very beneficial to local society as many of them were be able to continue higher education. Furthermore, local government also found out that CSR has a measurable good impact in local human development index. A long-term goal of CSR is to develop quality human resources to sustain a better life for all. Keywords: Corporate Social Responsibility, Society, Education

Abstract

As a mass media, Film seldom unrecognized as a media disseminator for messages and discourse. This condition is used by filmmakers and some interested parties as “arena” to disseminate or conduct hegemony to the public. Film General Soedirman is one example of a film that we can felt the hegemony agenda. As a historical film, the film try to build its story or narrative centrally on the figure of the Great Commander General Soedirman. Interestingly, the protrusion of General Soedirman figure is felt too much. On the contrary, the civil politicians are discribed ugly. This led to controversy and debate that is quite exciting in the national media. There is a suspicion of a large discourse, that is being rolled out by the filmmakers for the sake of a certain position within the larger narrative of the republic.This article is a report of qualitative research and use critical discourse analysis of Van Dijk. The research try to dismantle the structure of the text, either micro, macro, and it‟s superstructure, thus unfolding discourse developed through the production of this film.Keywords: Critical Discourse, Text Structure, and Hegemony
