Abstract

Pertautan Ideologi Media dan Ekonomi Politik Kekuasaan; M. Alfansyah Harahap; Bagaimana publik membaca pemilik media dan wartawan yang menjadi tim sukses dalam kontestasi politik? Apakah realitas tersebut menandaskan jurnalisme berubah dari pakemnya atau ada bentuk jurnalisme yang lain? Apa maknanya bagi perkembangan demokratisasi di Indonesia? Itulah pertanyaan-pertanyaan yang ingin dijawab oleh buku berjudul Konvergensi Media; Perbauran Ideologi, Politik, dan Etika Jurnalisme karya Dudi Iskandar. Bahwa keterlibatan pemilik media dan wartawan sebagai tim sukses capres-cawapres dalam kontestasi Pilpres 2019 adalah mengulang kontestasi Pilpres 2014. Empat tahun silam, media terbelah secara jelas, tegas, dan bahkan sarkastis. Kini pada Pilpres 2019, realitas media kembali terbelah.

Abstract

Early education introduces children to how to manage money, especially since growing up to become a person who values money more. Related to this, PT. Bank Negara Indonesia, Tbk (BNI) released the BNI Taplus Anak program for children aged 0 to 17 years. To proclaim the service, advertisements were made that were very close to the reality of the lives of parents and children. This advertisement tells a group of bands with the name "Kancil" which consists of 5 people with high plurality nuances where they have different ethnicity, or skin color but live in harmony in order to realize the dream of becoming a band that follows the competition. The problem of this research lies in the meaning of the sign of the cinematic linguistic pattern of the BNI Taplus Anak version of the Kancil Band. This study aims to determine the mapping of storytelling patterns in the BNI ad, then identify the categorical of each of the cinematic lines and reveal the meaning of the sign. This study takes the qualitative study of Christian Metz's Cinema Semiology which seeks to build a model of the film linguistic system as text, which is found in sintagma as a structured group of signs. Research findings show that implicit meanings of plurality order are forward and have Systematic flow is not only based on the image of the product as a supporter of the value of its production, but moral responsibility in presenting story ideas is successfully presented to the audience. The filmmaker who creates the creative idea of making this advertisement succeeds in knitting the story in a congruent manner, the pattern of storytelling chronologically traced at a level where the scope of the framework is smaller implies a similar and consistent meaning in the form of plurality.

Abstract

An earthquake with 6.4 on the Richter scale that rocked Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara and parts of Bali on July 29, 2018, really attracted the attention of the public. Regarding coverage of natural disasters, the easiest alternative media to get access to information is online media. In fact, the public found that news through online media tended to ignore objectivity, such as elements of completeness, accuracy, fairness, neutrality just to get the publication fastly. The purposes of this study were first, to find out the objectivity of the news presented by Viva.co.id, Kompas.com, and Tribunnewsbali.com during the earthquake and post-earthquake disaster in Lombok from 29 July to 29 August 2018, and the second, to describe the roles of Viva.co.id, Kompas.com, and Tribunnewsbali.com in reporting the earthquake in Lombok during this period. The focus of online media content analysis is on the elements of objectivity, truth, factual, accuracy, complete and neutrality. The research method used is the content analysis method using a quantitative approach. The object of this research was the Lombok earthquake news reported by Viva.co.id, Kompas.com and Tribunnewsbali.com period July 29 to August 29, 2018. The results showed that Viva.co.id, Kompas.com and Tribunnewsbali.com prioritized sub-dimensions truth in upholding objectivity. Where the sub dimensions of truth are divided into three elements, those are factual, accuracy and complete. But Viva.co.id and Tribunnewsbali.com ignored the sub-dimensions of neutrality. While kompas.com didn’t ignore the sub-dimensions of neutrality. Even though the sub-dimensions of neutrality are part of the dimension of objectivity.

Abstract

Body shaming is an act of mocking or insulting by commenting on a person's physical form or body size. Body shaming is synonymous with bullying behavior, because it will affect one's self-image, self-concept, and self-confidence. This study aims to see how the construction of body shaming reports that hit Dian Nitami artists in Tempo.Co and Nakita.Id online media. The research approach used in this study is qualitative with a constructivist paradigm. This study uses Robert N. Entman's Framing Theory. Research results: Tempo.Co in its frame brings the case of bullying that befell Dian Nitami artists to the realm of law. Tempo.Co positions the account @corissa.putrie owner as the cause of the problem and Anjasmara as a hero. Make Moral Judgment which is presented by Tempo.Co in the news in the form of a threat of punishment that will be accepted by the body shaming perpetrators on social media. Treatment Recommendation offered by Tempo.Co in its news text so that people are wiser and wiser in speaking on social media. Nakita.Id brought this case to the moral realm. Nakita.Id positioned the @corissa.putrie account and also the women who use social media as the cause of the problem, Anjasmara is positioned as Dian Nitami's hero and artist as a victim. The Make Moral Judgment presented by Nakita.Id was an appeal to reflect on what we had typed with the fingers and uploaded to the internet. Treatment Recommendations are offered so that every citizen takes heed of ethics in social media. Conclusion: media is a means for people to understand various realities. through the construction of news reporters display and place events in a particular social context where the audience is.

Abstract

The development of information technology makes it easy for community members to interact with other members of society not limited to space and time. The producers create various forms of computers which are technological tools to facilitate communication. Desktops, laptops or notebooks with various brands on the market. The public is faced with offering laptop brands such as Apple, Asus, Acer, Dell, Lenovo, HP, and other brands. Based on data on global laptop shipments in 2017 there were 164.7 million units. The Apple brand outperformed Asus and won 4th place the previous year ranking 5. The success of Apple with Macbook Pro products in 2017 showed an increase in buying interest in Apple laptops. This is inseparable from Apple's laptop products perceived quality and meet what consumers want from a brand. The purpose of this study is to see whether motivation and perceived quality affect buying interest in Apple laptops and analyze the influence of motivation and perceived quality on interest in buying Apple laptops. The theory used is motivation theory, perceived quality, buying interest. The method used is a quantitative method by collecting data through a questionnaire. Based on the results of the study, it was found that motivation and perceived quality had a significant effect on buying Apple brand laptops. Motivation and perceived quality simultaneously have a significant effect on buying Apple brand laptops with students from private universities in Tangerang

Abstract

This study focuses on the phenomenon of video sharing applications that are currently plaguing the public through one of the smartphone-based applications with the Android and iOS operating systems, Tik Tok. The enthusiasm of the Indonesian people for video sharing applications that use 4G-LTE connectivity is very large. This application allows users or hosts to display video recordings of their users. For celebrities, video sharing applications help them greatly in increasing their popularity in the community. But this application is also vulnerable to being misused by some users to display pornographic nuances, giving rise to many concerns, especially among educators and religious scholars. This study uses qualitative research methods with data collection techniques using observation, in-depth interviews, and document studies as well as descriptive data analysis techniques, with research informants being the Tik Tok application users and several related parties. The formulation of the problem of this research is how the impact of the use of Tik Tok video sharing application on underage children in the city of Bandung. The results show that the Tik Tok video sharing application has many gaps that pose a danger to underage children. Among them is loose age control for users. By using a telephone number, Gmail or Facebook account, users can already display their video recordings through this application. This provides an opportunity for underage children to watch pornographic nuances in the application. The government through the Ministry of Communication and Information as a policy maker in the ICT field has tried to regulate access to Tik Tok video sharing applications through temporary blocking actions.

Abstract

Diniyyah Puteri Boarding School its a first female boarding school in Southeast Asia established in 1923. The present study was conducted to identify the public understanding which related to establishment od exclusive image with Diniyyah Puteri in implementing the religious character. In addition, it aims to recognize the exclusive image strategy of Diniyyah Puteri Boarding School and to understand the differentiation of implementing the religious character in Diniyyah Puteri Boarding School, Padang Panjang.The research method used was qualitative method with case study. The data collected by multiple technique, namely interview, observation, and literature review. Symbolic interaction theory and exclusive image concept become the theory basis to compose the research result. The result of research founded a particular processing of establishment of exclusive image on Diniyyah Puteri, Padang Panjang. In its process of image establishment, strategy of Diniyyah Puteri Padang Panjang is to use the difference approach between internal and external publics. In the end, its exclusive image applied and implemented in religious character education with the expected output as the student who has the main character, namely devout and good moral, strong and tough as Mujahid God, intelligent and skilled as God’s steward.
